The $20 margarita was not even close to being a $20 margarita… the $24 deconstructed taco was not even close to a taco that one can get on taco tuesdays at just about any Mexican restaurant. So way over priced., maybe we ordered the wrong thing, but this place will not be on our list

Food was excellent. Service was not the best, we had to place the order for our appetizer 3 times before we got it. Had to wait for water refills. The bar was backed up with a 30 min wait for cocktails

First round of drinks took 15-20 minutes. There was only 2 of us and it wasn’t that busy. The food was very tasty and I enjoyed the environment.

Wonderful restaurant, I would have preferred our server to know more about the menu and how things are prepared since we had never been there before. Food was excellent, but came out a little cold, it just surprised me because they were not that busy. I will definitely return.

Love how innovative and thoughtful each item is. So very tasty. Unusual and unique. Grand Rapids is lucky to have this place. Cocktail was great. So was the wine. Menu has great variety. Very creative. Great presentation. Great and friendly service.

This was our 4th or 5th time eating at Mexo. We have come to expect everything to be top notch at this restaurant, and once again we had an excellent experience. This place is first class, from the drinks and appetizers to the entrees and our deserts, everything was great! Other Mexican restaurants become quite “ho hum” after eating meals prepared to this standard. Once again, 5 stars for everything. By the way. Noise levels in a busy restaurant were quite acceptable and we really appreciate the total lack of sports TVs etc.

All of us greatly enjoyed our meals! We began with appetizers and drinks which were fabulous. Our waitress answered all of our questions and our food came out promptly. The presentation and flavor of all of our food was phenomenal. We can’t wait to come back.

Food was not as good as I expected. Priced too high. Shrimp ceviche had too much vinegar in it. Guacamole was on a pad of lettuce so it all fell into the lettuce. Fish tacos not seasoned well

We were seated at a large table behind the main dining area which worked well for conversation although we felt a little out of the mix. Menu was interested and tasty. Will come back to continue to try new dishes.

Great service and staff - friendly, personable, and excellent sense of timing. Drinks were impeccable and priced to keep you from overindulging. I would not recommend this restaurant to vegetarians or vegans, as options are very limited. The smoked mushroom tacos were light on substance and flavor. The Cuitlacoche Tamal Stack was delicious but juxtaposed with the cold escabeche vegetables, fell short of something I'd recommend for the price. I can't speak to the non-vegetarian options, which make up a majority of the menu, but I imagine these options are where the chefs shine. I wouldn't turn down an invitation from friends to join them at MeXo, to try some of the non-vegetarian options, but won't be planning a return trip with my vegetarian wife any time soon.
