   Food was good, but not particularly special. Highly overpriced. Went to experience the architectural significance which is becoming overtaken by commercialism to appeal towards a younger, affluent crowd. We missed the classic dining and atmosphere we experienced 20 years ago.

   Staff is amazing. Food was really good. Even my picky kids ate it! Went 3 times during our stay. There are games for the kids to play too which was great.

   We love to bring out-of-town family and friends to this restaurant. And not just for the food which is excellent and served with lovely presentation, but the grounds are so lovely to take a tour of after the fun dining. The lunch menu may be a little limited but certainly has a variety of selections and price ranges. Prices may be a little spending for a family meal but still well worth it for the surrounds when you eat outdoors.

   Save yourself the headache and don’t go. Mediocre, over-priced food. They don’t seem to know how to run a restaurant. Waited over 40 minutes to be seated with a reservation and over an hour for our food. Really over priced for a poor venue/experience

    While the friendliness shined through, we had a tough go with consistent service for our lunch. There was not enough attention given for checking up on our drinks, esp. given that there was a waitress AND a drink person. We finally had to flag another member of the wait staff toward the end of our meal to get refills. We were informed our waitress got detained at another table. The food was just o.k. Given the extremely high cost of a simple lunch for two ($68 for a salad w/out a protein added, sandwich, soda and iced tea), I expected better.

    We ate outside, and the setting was lovely on a 70-degree day with a few clouds overhead. The lunch service was very good until dessert time, when we waited and waited and waited for the dessert to arrive. The restaurant had gotten very busy, and while it's unclear where the snafu was, we finally alerted the wait staffer and she and I guess her manager were attentive and our desserts came out. We appreciate the interest they both had in attending to the situation, and since we had time in our schedule, this was not a huge problem for our party the rest of our afternoon. We will patronize McArthur's again.

    The food was average. Service was excellent. Prices were outrageously high for lunch and only mediocre food. Won’t go there again.

    The food was very good. The pricing was was steep…$24 for a glass of Cabernet? The time between courses was ridiculous …1 hour between a salad and the entree…and the restaurant was less than 1/3 full at 6pm.

    The service was excellent. But the sea bass came out extremely over cooked and the Mac and cheese was cold. At the price level I would have expected better.

    Great food. Have been dining there for years, but the prices have become extremely expensive. Cheapest glass of Chardonnay is $26. Many entrees are nearly $50. Setting is nice. We dined on the patio which was really pleasant.

    Beautiful space with lovely details from lighting, furniture, water pitcher, glass, coffee mug and utensils. Order the pancakes with a side of bacon and you’ll enjoy a memorable, delicious meal.

    We live not too far from the Biltmore and decided for my husband's birthday it would be fun to have lunch at McArthurs. We were so disappointed! My husbands hamburger patty which was requested to be med-rare, was VERY well done. My son had the fish tacos and the fish was such a small narrow piece that was well done like a piece of shoe leather. Unfortunately, we will not soon be back.

    The Biltmore hotel has done a great job of maintaining the historical elegance while modernizing its restaurants and bar. McArthurs was a nice addition and the prices were quite affordable (outside of a few specialty cocktails) and a welcome surprise. The service and food were good and the menu had a little bit of everything. I felt a little bit rushed by the server but she was otherwise quite pleasant.

    Fabulous hotel and McArthur’s was great. Food was delicious & reasonably priced for the quality & atmosphere. We were seated in a room in the rear of the restaurant with views of the resort and a central fireplace. Great ambience. Very friendly & attentive wait staff.

    It took the food forever to come, and even then only parts of our order arrived, and there were a lot of mistakes. We sat down for breakfast at 9 AM and didn’t get our food until 950.

    Food was bland. Expresso machine was down so no specialty coffee available. House cup of coffee was bland as well. Too overpriced for the quality we received food & beverage wise. No need to dine here when there are so many other wonderful restaurants out here.

    If you are a Floyd Lloyd Wright fan, this hotel and restaurant is fantastic place to experience. Our waitress was very knowledgeable, the food was edgy and fantastic. Highly recommend

    One of the best servers I have ever had; she understood the needs of young children and accommodated our needs. Food was tasty and served hot. Expensive but expected. I would definitely return.
