If you want real Chicago deep dish pizza, this is the place that will satisfy your cravings. I am from Chicago originally and Lou Malnatti is one of the few who have always done it right. I had the pepperoni with the spinach mix added and it brought back memories. The staff here are super friendly and make you feel welcome. I alao tried the ravioli crisps, filled creamy ricotta - light and flavorful, so a good choice as an app that wont fill you up before the pizza arrives. Tip: do call ahead to preorder your deep dish, then tell the host when you arrive- it will cut the wait time on the pizza.

I have eaten at your restaurant many times and always had excellent pizza. However, last night I brought someone who had never dined at Lou Malnati’s before. The pizza was terrible. It was overcooked, dry and hard to eat. I didn’t say anything to the waiter as we would have to have waited another 30 minutes for a new pizza and we didn’t have that kind of time. I do think the waitress should have seen the burnt top of the pizza. Cutting it was very difficult for the waitress who brought the pizza.

Our deep dish pizza was delicious. It brought back happy memories of our dining experiences back in Chicago. We had Jennifer as our server this time like we did last time. She is so friendly and attentive and caring. She enhanced our dining experience.

Food was good, service was excellent. The salad was not to be believed and as always, the Deep Dish Pizza was GRAET.

Arrived for our reservation to celebrate a birthday. Place was dead. Seated and approached by Carlos (none of this is his fault) and he got drinks going for us. We ordered a family salad and 3 pizzas, 1 deep dish and 2 GF pizzas as we have 2 people with celiac disease and they are known for the GF pizza and the precautions they take to stay safe. we were advised that pizzas take 25 to 30 minutes and that was fine with us. They brought out the family salad and 45 minutes later came back to tell us they were still checking on the pizzas. At an hour later, the manager, who never introduced themselves, came out to tell us that one of the two gluten-free pizzas were made as cheese only versus the pizza that we ordered and the custom gluten-free pizza was actually made correctly. Then they asked if we wanted to wait for the other pizza to be made again which would take another 15 to 20 minutes or are we OK with just the pizza that was already made. We were not going to accept the fact that they were bringing a flat cheese pizza to somebody who had ordered something else. So the deep dish pizza and the correct and incorrect GF pizzas were delivered while the remake was being cooked. The pizzas that arrived at our table were lukewarm at best. The manager, who was also the expediter for the evening, came back almost 20 minutes later to deliver the remade GF pizza. It didn’t look right, anyone who’s celiac/gf knows what I’m talking about. Just st that moment Carlos came rushing over to advise that that was NOT A GLUTEN FREE PIZZA!! They took that pizza away and brought back a GF pizza. Thankfully the manager comped the entire meal except for the iced tea, and I’m positive that we were only charged those so we could leave a tip on a card for Carlos. Carlos was amazing considering the situation his kitchen/manager put him in. The manager left a lot to be desired due to no real empathy for the hour plus it took us to get almost room temp pizza. We won’t be back.

We enjoyed our dinner last night. The food was excellent, and the service was great. Our only concerns were housekeeping related. The booth area needed attention, as the table was sticky, the walls had visible food stains, and the table was missing basic condiments like salt and pepper. That said, everyone we interacted with was very pleasant. We also stopped by the takeout area for one of your pre-made frozen pizzas, and the staff there was especially friendly and welcoming. We’re sharing this feedback because the meal itself was very enjoyable, and with a little more attention to cleanliness and table readiness, the overall dining experience would be even better.

Fantastice experience from start to finish. Our server, Tommy S, was excellent, very enthusiastic, knowledgeable, attentive and genuine. Pizzas, and the Malnatis salad were to die for!!! This was our first time there and can't wait to go back!
