    Ristorante a due passi dal Duomo, locale molto accogliente. Ottima qualità prezzo, i piatti curati nel dettaglio. Il servizio eccellente, il cameriere ci ha aiutati nella scelta di piatti, ci siamo sentiti coccolati. Nonostante il ristorante pieno, non abbiamo subito dei ritardi. Ci torneremo sicuramente!

    Food was excellent and so were the staff. I have a food intolerance and they were very helpful and adjusted a few things at their own recommendation so I can highly recommend for people with similar issues. Florentine steak was magnificent and I really enjoyed the fillet mignon. Great place, well worth a visit

    This is one of the best restaurants in Tuscany. We are often in Florence. I highly recommend this restaurant. The best Ossobuco anywhere. Pasta is also the best. Grazie Mille Federico!!

    This place was amazing. From the service to the ambiance to the food we couldn’t have asked for more. Although we probably bit off more than we could chew with the Florentine steak it was still amazing. The highlight of the meal was definitely the lasagne, if I could give it more than 5 stars I would. Great vibe and great place all around.

    6 of us dined at Lo Scudo, where we celebrated a special bday. Food is home style Italian and wonderful. Our server was so attentive, friendly and great sense of humor. Highly recommend for a Florence dining experience.

    This restaurant was incredibly good. I had the best eggplant parmigiana of my life, the wine was excellent, and the service attentive. Less than a 1 minute walk from the Duomo was an added bonus. I would highly recommend it.

    Best meal of our 12-day trip. The steak Florentino was exceptional. I have dreamt about it since. We loved every dish that we had. This is the real deal. Service was A+.

    Our experience at Lo Scudo could not have been better. We booked it because of a photo we saw of an outside table with a view. When we got there, there was only indoor seating. Regardless, our table turned out to be wonderful! We actually liked sitting right near the bar and getting to people watch. Our server Martin helped us choose our wine (which was delicious!!!) and he refilled it all night without us having to ask. I ordered the cheese and honey plate which was to die for. My main dish was also delicious, and my husband had perfectly cooked steak as well as lasagna which was his favorite meal of the trip. We are now in another beautiful city and constantly talk about wishing we were back in Florence which says a lot. We hope to come back some time in life, and if we do, this will be our first meal.

    We were greeted at the door by name and immediately seated. The food was outstanding! The waiter offered very good suggestions when asked for his opinion. Was attentive but not hovering. Wonderful ambience in the heart of Florence.

    Loved the food an the atmosphere. Close to Duomo, had great eggplant. We made reservations for four and they seemed a bit confused by that when we showed up, but we were seated quickly.

    This was the most delicious meal. The owners are fantastic and so hospitable! If this restaurant ever moved to New York we would eat there every week! Please share the wild boar ragu recipe!! Xoxo we will be back!

    Nice restaurant with a lively and younger crowd than most. With the younger crowd comes a bit more noise, but we enjoyed it and our waiters were great. They made our dinner experience fun.

    Lo Scudo was amazing! My meal was one of the best I have ever had in my life. I have been to tons of fine dining resturants before and you can not get the Ossobuco Fiorentino like this anywhere else. Trust me order this dish and you will not regret your experience. My boyfriend ordered the lemon chicken, which was good. I just didn’t think it was as good as the dish I had.

    Amazing!! Had the florentine steak with potatoes and WOW. For dessert get the warm chocolate cake…you will not be disappointed. Service was amazing and vibes are 🤌🏼. My favorite meal in Italy so far! 10/10 recommend

    The guy with the thick black glasses was the rudest server I have dealt with. So rude, apathetic, would not help. My table was not ready on time so I had to stand outside for 30 minutes. Terrible service. Additionally I put on the reservation it was my wifes birthday and nothing was said or done

    Mediocre & touristy. Avoid this cramped place w/o ambiance. We ordered family style w/Caesar salad, pizza and Florentine steak. The salad was boring with yellow lettuce. The pizza had a nice cheese & oven char but the sausage was nearly raw. Similarly, our steak was VERY raw instead of medium rare. We are talking purple/blue. We had to send it back for additional cooking, where it sat on a counter for over 12 minutes as chef was absent. From our table, we could see our entree just sitting unattended next to the grill with the juices congealing. A bit gross & appetite killing. And to add insult, the steak was pricey for a mid-quality grade petite serving. Service by the all male waitstaff was slow, but they were pushing us out the door as we were finishing our dessert wine, despite the fact that we had spent most of the allotted 1.5 hours waiting for service & our food. How does this place get such a high score? Worst meal out of a 17-day Italy visit. On the plus side, the wine was good. Would NEVER go back to Lo Scudo restaurant & recommend that you avoid it.
