Casual atmosphere..allowed me to switch out linguine for cavatelli for the clams. Tasty!

This was our first visit to Lefty's and it did not disappoint. We arrived early for our 5:30pm reservation and the manager on staff was very welcoming and attentive. The tuna tartare appetizer was fresh and delicious, as was our dinners of seafood pasta, fish tacos and stone crab. We sat inside on a not very busy Thursday evening. Highly recommend. $200 tab for six people was less than expected.

We enjoy this place on a Tuesday evening after we've gone to see a movie it's usually quieter. We shared the 1/2 doz. pearls & parms baked oysters and a cup of the gumbo that was probably one of the best we've ever had and very filling. I don't usually eat fried food, but theirs is NOT oil/greasy - so I ordered 2 appetizers for my dinner, the fried green tomatoes with their house made remoulade sauce and 2 fried softshell crabs. Both were large and I took half of the fried green tomatoes home and 1 of the softshell crabs. My husband ordered the petite filet mignon special with 2 sides plus a salad. The steak was excellent and the fries were crispy. They don't have small side salads; it was large and he took the half the fries and most of the salad home. My husband had a non-alcoholic draft beer and I had water. Our server Liam is terrific, and knows the menu well. They do charge 4% extra when you pay by credit card which we were not happy about that. I don't know anyone who carries $100 or more around with them . . . I think we should have been told that. We may have used a debit card or a check to pay the bill.

Thank you for the wonderful review! We’re so glad you enjoyed our food in atmosphere. (A note, however, we do post everywhere in our restaurant, including our menu that there is a surcharge added for payments by credit card, it is, as most businesses due, 3% surcharge.)

Sat outside- next to band and he was a solo artist that made us feel special since he said before he started if he was too loud, he could turn it down. My friends had never eaten there and they had really good meals with shrimp and grits and grouper. I had the shrimp tacos and they were excellent.

I couldn’t believe the restaurant wasn’t busier on a Saturday night. The menu and ambiance is terrific. I had the Amberjack fish special and it was very good. It’s pretty loud for conversation because the football fans were cheering their teams and the band was playing, but it made for a lively and fun spot.

Visiting from Indiana and wanted oysters and we scored here . We also had ahi tuna, fish and sides. Everything was great tasting and the service was fantastic.
