    Superb restaurant in Florence. Beautiful restaurant with great food ands service. We ate at lunch - started with amuse bouche of four different delicious offerings. We ordered caprese salad, assorted Salumni board, gnocchi, and tagliatelle and two glasses of red wine. Everything was wonderful and properly prepared. The amuse bouche included chicken liver pate which has never before been anything I liked, but this one sold me on it. Limoncello on the house completed the meal. The restaurant owner came by our table twice and pored more limoncello. Loved it!!

    Great atmosphere. Place is alive with energy. Big complaint is that we were rushed. They pushed us to order quickly and each course came before we were finished with the previous one. The couple at the next table had the same observation and complaint. Our steak was too rare and when we asked to cook it just a little more it came back well done. Had the feeling they wanted us to eat quickly snd get out so they could seat the next group. Very expensive

    The place has lots of history and the food was good. The server was not attentive. I had to ask 4 times for a glass of wine after it was ordered. Then when the check came I was charged for 2 extra glasses of wine. The owner was very friendly and attentive. I felt that the service was not good and the second server was more helpful then the main one.

    Fabulous food and atmosphere! Only slight surprise was feeling a little rushed in ordering our food and having it delivered - much faster than anywhere else we ate in Italy, despite us trying to take our time here. Still, a great meal, service, and location!

    This restaurant came highly recommended by some friends of ours. Although we had to make reservations way ahead of time, it was definitely worth it. The food and service were outstanding! The atmosphere was very nice with lights all over the ceiling. If we had been in Florence longer, we would have gone back to try more of the amazing food!

    The food was amazing. We had the pear ravioli and the sea bass, yum! The tiramisu was also perfect, as well as the melon and prosciutto. I’m giving a 4 star because the service was impersonal. While it was fast and accurate, there was no “Italian charm” or pleasantries from our waiter or any of the staff. No “thank you for coming” or anything like that. That would have made it a perfect experience.

    We were forgotten about and our meals came out last among our surrounding tables - all of which sat & ordered AFTER us. There was no apology and the server was rude. Food was not as impressive as expected. Good ambiance.

    This was one of our favorite restaurants in Florence, we’ve refer dozens of our friends here, but sadly it’s not the same anymore. The original chef, who was very customer centric and obviously talented has passed on leaving the place to his son, who thinks he’s a celebrity and has not put the same love and passion his father put into the place and frankly it shows. When we went in, he was sitting at a front table looking at fashion magazines in sweatpants (all the tables near him were kept open so he has privacy) We joined them for lunch and the place was absolutely dead, but they still wanted to give us a crappy table next to the restroom (suspect the don’t like Americans these days). Service was very average, not bad, but far different than we experienced in any of our other visits or what our recommendees shared with us. The food was inconsistent, the two salads (house and mozzarella) were tasty. We had Florentine Steak (decent meat, bad sides), Spinach and goat cheese ravioli (bland and a bit overcooked) and pear ravioli (very good). Dessert options are decent. The wine list is decent, but with a 3x markup, probably finding his rockstar lifestyle. When his father ran it, they were closer to 1.5-2. Overall, it used to be a 5 star restaurant, but clearly in decline now. I take no pleasure in having to write this as we loved this place. I should have known though as a couple of our friends gave similar feedback over the last few years. If you want great food, move on to Buca Mario, their owners are still focused on the business and not trying to take pics with celebrities…

    Absolutely the best meal we've had in Italy during our travels. Had the pear ravioli and boar ragu, both divine. The ambiance is wonderful, an absolute treasure. We'll be dreaming about this place for years to come.

    Food was absolutely amazing! Highly recommend the papardelle Ragu wild boar. Also the appetizer platter was incredible! It had chicken liver pâté, which was on point, and the bruschetta and grilled veggies absolutely delicious! Service and ambiance was great
