   Food was great, although the waitress didn’t seem to know about their “Date Night” menu which caused a huge headache. Other than that, there was virtually no wait and we got seated and served quickly.

   Waited 45 minutes before we received our appetizer. Meals arrived 1 hr after ordering. Restaurant was not full so that is not reason why there was a delay. Chicken was so tough that it could not be cut with a knife. Was unable to eat. $35 for a piece of salmon with rice only.

   The food was excellent, it is just the customer service could have been better especially when it came to attentiveness to details. Our drinks were not refilled unless we initiated and we paid for desserts and did not receive them. ( I had a team of 4 catching flights and wanted to get them to the airport so didn’t address) This is still one of my go-to restaurants when I have business meetings, however customer experience has to stay consistent.

   I tried a new pasta dish at the recommendation of the server. It was delicious! I was actually pleasantly surprised as I didn’t think a pasta dish would be so flavorful here. I’ve always thought Kona Grill has a very nice and lively ambiance inside and on the patio. Most of the time we enjoy our food selections as well. Service was excellent. The only thing that consistently is a let down is the size/price of their cocktails. My margarita was served in a tiny little cocktail glass. I swear, if I removed the ice there wouldn’t be more than 1/3 cup of beverage. All for a hefty price tag. I can get a much bigger and better drink for less money elsewhere. Our dinner was over $70 (before tip!) for 2 people including 2 tiny cocktails. We eat out every weekend and that seemed expensive to us since it’s not fine dining. But perhaps that’s just a sign of the times.

   I used to come here all the time, specifically for the Chillian-Miso Seabass. It was one of my favorite dishes in all of Huntsville. The past couple of times I've been they were out of the seabass, until tonight. Tonight I was EXTREMELY disappointed in the quantity of the fish that I was served. It was nearly cut in half, no rice, and barely any bok choy. It's NOTHING like it used to be. And the price is STILL $38. I was in such shock over the quantity for the price. It saddens me to see this. Because of this, I probably won't ever be back. My server was truly awesome. She did everything she could to make us happy. Nothing on her part, but my reason for this place does exist any longer. So sad. This used to be on of my top 5 favorite places in Huntsville. The atmosphere was extremely loud. We literally had to yell to hear each other. Not a pleasant experience at all.

    Front desk host should stop slamming “corporate” for long wait times DESPITE having reservations. We had an 8pm reservation and told they’re running 30+ min behind because of corporate. Food and server were great making up for her poor excuses. Bring Kona Grill to Nashville!

    I gave a poor rate as we had made reservations we arrived a few minutes early and was ignored for several minutes. Once we were acknowledged we were told it would be closer to 7pm before we could be seated . Our reservations were for 630 on the app the lady said 645. We arrived back at 655 was told they were an hour and a half behind in the kitchen could we wait a little longer we left and didn’t return . We go there often for our date night but now not so sure we will return

    Had a reservation through Open table, but when we arrived we were told there were 7 or 8 groups in front of us. Fabian our waiter was great, and did the best he could despite the bar and kitchen both being behind on orders. The restaurant was severely under staffed, and Mismanaged. We probably dine elsewhere in the future.

    Caveat this review withh the fact we were there for Valentine's Day, and the place was packed. Seated only 10 minutes after our reservation time, so they did a great job with seating. Waitress was very pleasant and courteous. They did a great job cleaning off the tables and prepping for the next customer. Food... Pot stickers as an appetizer were excellent. New York Strip was fatty and tough, not what we were expecting for a $38 steak. "Veg Medley" was a plate of asparagus. Not what I was expecting, but I like asparagus, so... Potato fingerlings were very tender and seasoned perfectly. Carrot cake for dessert was the bomb! More than we could eat as half of it came home with us. It can easily be dessert for four

    It was Valentine’s Day and it was a probably one of the worst dining experiences I’ve had. If the prices are higher than restaurants like cotton row or similar places I would expect a minimum of good food. The food was extremely overpriced which to me normally wouldn’t be a problem but it didn’t back it up. The menu was already limited so we got 6 potstickers which cost almost 20 dollars. A sushi roll (only 5 pieces? Not large pieces either) which was 22 and my date got an appetizer for her meal which was the chicken and shrimp lettuce wraps which were around 20 though there was no shrimp in the meal. This was the first time I’ve ever sent something back or complained about food. I got a 40 dollar steak which is more than next door Connor’s prices and it was terrible it was so salty my mouth burned and was basically charred. Overall terrible meal and we went and had to get a fast food meal to eat after. I will never be going back to Kona Grill.

    A restaurant on Valentine’s Day is normal chaos - not at Kona. The manager had the kitchen moving food as fast as it could be moved. Our service was great-as always. And the food was excellent-as always. Bonus-Received a rose when being seated- its the extras that count. ❤️

    Service was terrible. They had trouble finding our reservation, then finally seated us. A waitress came to take our drink order, then she was told we weren't at her table by the hostess, so she apologetically walked off. After about 10 minutes, we walked out because no one else came to wait on our table. Other tables nearby were seated after us and were served and orders taken. Super disappointed because we were excited to try the food

    The wait for food was unreasonable. From the time we ordered it took nearly 50 minutes to get the food. The server was kind, but the wait was long. Only after we got food, did the manager come around asking if everything was ok.

    I usually order the macadamia chicken and love it. This time was overcooked, dry and very thin piece of chicken. Like many other places, seems like they are short handed, so it can take more than usual to get service.

    Christmas Day reservation. Multiple specialty drinks were incorrect and not corrected - yet billed. Special holiday menu items did not have stated side items - had to remind waitress. Overall - very disappointed in $500 family meal.

    the Thanksgiving special my husband ordered was plentiful and he enjoyed it very much. My ribeye was done exactly as ordered and seasoned well. Desserts were exceptional.

    We got the Date Night special. It was delicious and a great value. This was our first time to Kona Grill, and it won’t be our last. Loved the ribeye meatballs appetizer - could’ve made a meal of it. The ribeye and ribs were also well done.

    I have to say this will be our last visit to Kona Grill. We have tried and tried and they just keep disappointing us. From the start when we walked in with a reservation and was told it would be a 20 minute wait, this with at least 5 tables empty but needed bused. The service was slow, the waiter was fine but he was young and new. The food was okay, but not worth the price we paid. And please do not order the prime rib, that is not prime rib at all. I am not sure exactly what it was. All in all it will be the last time we go there. When you spend 150.00 for two people to have dinner, you would expect better. And the waiter did tell us we could get the pot stickers at Gordon's food supply which was pretty disappointing since they are 18.00 on the appetizer menu.
