   Kipos is a wonderful local Greek fine dining experience. Our server Max kept the food well paced and was friendly and professional. Wide range of food and wine choices here. Make sure to get some small plates to share. Delicious desserts to finish with. Plenty of free parking out front.

   Waitress was wonderful. Manager was rude and dismissive. Chef refused to remake the Octopus that he clearly burnt. He said that’s the flavor so he wouldn’t try to redo it: the waitress when she saw it apologized and was like we will make you a new one. Poor girl had to come back out and tell us he refused too!! We will never go back.

   One of the best meals we have had in Wilmington. We split the beet salad and the eggplant spread to start. Both were amazing. My husband had the lamb chops and I had the grouper. They were both very good as well. Be we will be back

    We had a beautiful Branzino (whole fish ) braised savory beans ,Tzatziki was perfect with olive oil and spices ,delicious salad, best coconut cake in Wilmington. The atmosphere is beautiful, we live this place, our second time and we will return soon❤️

    Heard great reviews from friends & went for a Birthday celebration. We had an early reservation & sat in the lovely Garden Room where we had the sole attention of our server. She knew the menu well and asked what we liked & made suggestions, some which we followed. Ordered & shared the WBC sourdough, Keftedes, Horiatiki, Marouli, Moussaka x 3, & I being different ordered the Lemon Linguini. . . all wonderful, fabulous, & highly recommended dishes!! Also, we shared a delicious Greek Chardonnay. Looking forward to our next meal there. Opa!!!! 😊

    We had a great meal here…lamb for my husband, kakavia along with the sourdough on suggestion of our great server. We both loved our food. We got flourless chocolate dessert which while good( not great) was overpriced at $14. We hadn’t been so didn’t know which room to choose when making reservation and went with garden room which was cold and the main room seemed like the place to be so will go there next time.We will definitely be back.

    First and foremost, I want to say that our server Garrett was phenomenal. He fileted my fish like an expert. He was very attentive and knowledgeable. The food and drinks were equally as good. The décor and ambiance were perfect. My ONLY complaint was the gift card system. I received a gift card for the holidays from someone I support at my job. It was a generous and thoughtful gift. She was excited for me to try this restaurant. Unfortunately, I don't think she realized that the gift card she bought me was for one of the other restaurants owned by this group. That location is by where she lives (3 hours from me). We found out the issue when I tried to use the gift card when checking out. Apparently, they share the same owners, similar name but not the same gift card system. I felt extremely bad for our server, as he had to come get me to come to the computer to try it again, not realizing the issue quite yet. One of the owners was there and basically said there was nothing he could do. What gets me, is there was another person standing close by, not sure what his position is, but he indicated that this happens quite often. If that is the case, maybe they should look into connecting the systems or consider putting disclaimers on their websites that gift cards can only be used at the specific location indicated. Someone familiar with the various locations, as she is, just assumed they were usable at all. We will eventually get to the other location so it won't go to waste but I feel bad, as her intention was for my husband and I to enjoy a nice night out.

    Great ambience, great menu in theory! Have been a few times with reservations close to 8pm and lots of dishes already sold out. Could do better on planning of ingredients. Would definitely be back for the ambience and appetizers but main dishes were just average.

    Great food and wine. Service was exemplary too. We had the octopus, chicken and lamb shank. Dessert, cherry tort was fantastic. All were delicious. This was a splurge for us, but well worth it. Great atmosphere in the restaurant, busy but not overwhelming. Had a wonderful evening.

    I lived near Greek Town in Chicago so I compared my meal to that experience. I thought the food was very good, creative vegi's, tender lamb chops. I would recommend that the chef add more flavors to make them more robust. You don't want to serve good Greek, but OUTstanding Greek!

    This restaurant was just ok. The fish was boney to the point it was not edible and the spare rib was okay but not remarkable. Our waiter Garrett was the highlight of the evening! Bravo on your service!

    Always great food and we love our waiter, Daniel, who we’ve gotten several times now. It’s a bit noisy if you’re trying to have an intimate date or something similar, but the atmosphere is beautiful and open. The food is excellent and the drinks are even better.

    There were three of us. One ordered the Keftedes; my wife and I ordered the grilled octopus to share. The Octopus was brought out ten minutes after the Keftedes. Our guest said that his appetizer was brought out cold. They should both been brought out together. He said the Keftedes was good though as was the grilled octopus, but the octopus wasn’t worth the $18 price for such a small piece. We wouldn’t recommend it for that price. My wife and I had dinner with other couples at Kipos the previous week and I ordered the grilled lamb chops. Three thick loin chops were wonderful. I recommended them to my friend . Three thin lollipop size chops came out which were adequate for an appetizer but not a $42 main course. We commented about this to our server and was told that all lamb chop portions are 20 ounces. No, they aren’t. My wife had the grouper and it was a good portion and very tasty. I had the short rib and it was very good and a nice portion. Wines are Greek, very good, and a nice pour for the money. Kipos is a lovely restaurant where you can have a very nice meal. Order carefully and always ask about portion size.

    Great restaurant!!! The only complaint is it’s too bright. The wonderful lamps on the tables are more than enough to see everything. The atmosphere would be so much better with the ceiling lights turned down lower.

    We had a wonderful server but this is the second time we have been to this restaurant and the first time we were in a party of 4 and ordered the sea bass which they debone at the table. Our server deboned my husbands and my fish and not only did she have no idea how to debone the fish it was put back on our plate in a mess. We were eating a whole mouth of bones in every bite. The price of the fish was $42 so this was not a great experience. We decided to give it a second try with our bbf’s and the food was equally subpar. My husbands prawn appetizer were mealy and old. The burnt brussel sprouts were under cooked and our friends meal was not edible. The decor is very nice but the restaurant is so loud you cannot hear yourself let alone the people sitting at your table. It was a disappointment for sure!

    Very nice upscale restaurant with appropriately dressed patrons for a change. We had to sit near the bar so it was quite loud and hard to converse. No grape leaves for an appetizer? Really? My lamb chops were delicious but $45 for 3 small chops was a bit much. Spouse had moussaka that was not great. My rice pudding was delicious but the coconut cake not the best. We’ll be back though, very nice place!

    The service was excellent and the food was delicious. It was my birthday and we greatly appreciated the delicious key lime pie which was comped.We sat in the Garden Room. The room was drafty and the noise echoed even though there were few diners. The waitress told us the restaurant is working on fixing the acoustics. We do plan to return.

    Kipos is lovely! Be sure to make a reservation well in advance. The menu has lots of unique options, and the server was so helpful in talking us through it and making recommendation. The wine list is all Greek wine, and it was fun trying something new! Definitely a great place for a date, girls night out, or special occasion. Can’t wait to go back!

    I did book a table online a month in advance and asked for the main dining room and not the garden room. However, we were still seated in the garden room. Hence, minus the one point off because otherwise do not ask where we want to be seated. A little disappointed but otherwise the food and atmosphere were enjoyable.

    The newest Kipos in Wilmington has been open for 5 months now, and we have been waiting for the right occasion to try it - my wife’s birthday was the perfect occasion! Conveniently located in Lumina Station, the restaurant dazzles as you enter, with an upscale design, vibrant atmosphere, and the feeling of a real Greek taverna, with appropriate music in the background, and unique table lighting (you can pick a color). Our waiter - Aaron - was friendly and very knowledge as he guided us through the menu and three specials. We ordered some glasses of white wine and some cocktails, and soon we’re enjoying the pita and house spread (so good and cream - they call it WBC SOURDOUGH with marinated olives, house tomato paste), the soup ( AVGOLEMONO rice, egg, lemon broth and chicken), the HORIATIKI tomatoes, cucumbers, bell peppers, red onions, feta, olives, capers), and the GRILLED OCTOPUS, with oregano, and lemon. The octopus was the best I’ve ever tasted. For our entrees, we tried the BRAISED LAMB SHANK oven roasted with thyme, wine, oregano, and the LAMB CHOPS* grilled with oregano & olive oil, citrus chickpea stew, spinach, tomato. Our wine choice was a special Bessa Valley Winery Enira, a superb red. While the lamb shank was a little short on flavor, the lamb chops were excellent!!! We topped off the meal with a scrumptious dessert - the flourless chocolate Grenache cake (and the manager - Kathy Squires - made sure there was a candle on top for the birthday girl!! All in all, a superb experience all around. A bit pricey, but we will be coming back often!! By the way, we also sampled the Zucchini chips - a must munche to go with any meal!!!
