Open since 1973, Janko's Little Zagreb has become one of Bloomington's finest dining traditions as one of the best steakhouses in the Midwest. Perfect for large groups as well as small intimate celebrations, Janko's has been providing exceptional food and service in a casual, family friendly atmosphere for more than 40 years!

Come enjoy our famous spicy meatballs or one of our USDA Choice steaks, hand cut daily and grilled to perfection. We also have delicious seafood entrees as well as vegetarian options available.

                                                                                                      In prior visits the steaks at Jankos were always great. Tonight they were just good. Maybe an off night or maybe they changed source for their steaks? Service was great. Atmosphere was great. I will come back but if next visit they serve a good steak at a great steak price I’ll think twice about returning.

                                                                                                      Janko’s is our go to restaurant for celebrating anniversaries, and milestone events. We love the casual atmosphere and of course the delicious steaks. Our most recent visit on 5/16/26 was to celebrate our youngest son and his girlfriend’s graduation from Maurer Law School and our oldest son’s promotion at work. We love this place and will continue to make it our go to for steaks and special occasions. The only small complaint was that a couple of the steaks were undercooked . My wife and son ordered the New York strips cooked medium but they were closer to rare in the middle. The portions were large enough that they took the undercooked portions home and finished them to the desired level the next day. We have experienced this on our last two visits. You might want to order a little more done than you normally would.

                                                                                                      We celebrate special days at Little Zagrebs. The food is delicious, especially the filet. Large baked potato. Get the side salad with dressing on the side so you can control how much to use. Wide selection of wines, beers, and hard drinks. Roman Pinot Noir is our favorite. Even if you don't have room for dessert, get one to go.
