   Our waitress did not give us a heads up that the kitchen was closing, so when we asked to order more food we were told the kitchen had closed 15 mins ago. Overall she was not very attentive. I also think the charcuterie should come with the bread service that you charge an extra $14 for. No one is eating meat and cheese without some form of bread or cracker..

   It was so loud you couldn’t hear the person sitting beside you yet alone raising your voice to give your order to the server. Each dish got worse then the other. So disappointed, was really excited to go there. Beautiful restaurant… smoke and mirrors.

   Sat at the bar. Servers were great and food was great. The music volume was way too loud. Stupidly loud. It actually killed the vibe, instead of adding to it. Save the volume for the "club" upstairs.

   Been here 4 times. Ate at the bar as table reservations seem tough to get. Branzino is amazing. Cocktails are strong. People are nice!

   Overall we had a great meal but felt slightly rushed by the service throughout. Kept asking if we were done with our plates even when there was food still on the the table and plates. We hadn’t had our meal too long.

    Took a high profile client to dinner. The restaurant was accommodating as it was 7 of us, as opposed to 6. However, the food took forever to come out. From appetizers all the way through. We had to ask multiple times. Some came out warm-ish as opposed to hot. We had to ask to have the table cleared. Had to ask for dessert menu. Had to ask for plates to eat dessert. They ran out of coffee. They were also understaffed. One or two servers were handling the entire upstairs area. We did not hold anything against the server, as this was a restaurant staffing issue. 7 people. $1,650.00. Absolutely do not recommend for a business meal. It’s too risky. And the cost vs food experience is not there.

    Great service, amazing food and the music was def a vibe. Not to mention the beautiful decor and ambiance. The chef made his way to our table and introduced himself and thanked us for dining. Will def dine there again.

    I find myself to be rather picky with Italian food and my fiancé and I absolutely loved our dining experience here. The portions were extremely well balanced, great flavor profiles and the service was top notch. This is a step above most of the other nearby West Loop restaurants. Perfect for a date night out for two foodies that love wine.

    Served with a cold pasta. Short staff. Food not so great. Unattended. Waited for 30 minutes for our food. 30 minutes to check out. Not coming back. Not worth it.

    We had a wonderful experience. It was our 10 year anniversary we were treated beautifully. Given Belinis. And had a great time with our server. Food was amazing also.

    food was amazing! Love the interior. Love the music and the vibe. Our server was very inexperienced and one person in our party waited for their food for 20 minutes after everyone else received theirs. However, I have been here before and that was not the case so maybe just a one time ordeal. I love Gino and Martys!

    I was very disappointed with this restaurant…. The ambiance was so beautiful the music was great too but the food was just okay, there was lipstick on the glass which wasn’t a big deal but for the type of restaurant you would expect more. They did not have Lambrusco and it took about 15mins for them to notice that which was confusing! We ordered different drinks but no matter how you wanted the drink they charged an extra $5 (shown in pic) which was upsetting because if you want to charge $25 for a drink just charge it we are downtown !!! Don’t say it’s $19 then charge an extra $5 no matter how you order the spirit, it’s misleading. Just highly disappointed. I expected more, I’ve been looking forward to coming to this restaurant and it was a major let down.

    I first went to G&M when it had recently opened and the service and the food were incredible! It truly felt like w hole experience with the Chef coming to our table, the cannoli guys, the top notch service - I was very impressed! This is why my friends and I decided to come back to a surprisingly different experience. It took 20 minutes after we sat to get water. 20 more minutes before they got our drink order. Our drinks came and our apps came. 40 minutes into ordering our meal we found out that one of the items was no longer available. Even though the flavors were there, our food arrived cold 1.5 hours after we arrived. The server forgot our second round of drinks that we ordered, etc. Net net it was just a disappointing experience and all other guests around us were commenting the same, a couple even saying "good luck" as they left. Might have been a bad day or they do not have a system down but it was a bad experience for the amount that we spent.

    Great restaurant! We sat at the bar and the chef brought us our food. The portions were huge so overall a great opportunity to share meals. The bartenders were great in listening to what we wanted to drink and accommodating to our requests. The atmosphere was super cute, makes a great esthetic for a girls night. The upstairs seemed to have a darker louder vibe.

    Gino & Marty’s is the best new Italian spot in downtown Chicago. The red carpet that leads to the door sets the ambiance. When you walk in you are greeted by beautiful people, Ace of Spades bottles, and hip music. I have been here four times now and every time has been excellent. The food is amazing and has garnered the attention of many VIP people. If you like oysters start with a dozen, the freshness is unbeatable. After, I recommend the Spicy Gnocchi and Cacio e Pepe. If you’re in the mood to be decadent, the Nero Rosso is exquisite and the lobster on top makes for great Instagram pictures. For entrees, the 40-day wet-aged NY Strip is a great dish to share. It’s so tender that I would compare it to a filet. End your dinner with an espresso and the Italian Wedding gelato flight. Also, thanks to Aly, Matt, Aaron and Caley. Service is phenomenal every time. The staff is knowledgeable and makes you feel important and taken care of. Can’t wait to go back!

    Overall Gino and Marty's was a nice restaurant... It was just a few little things that were annoying. We got there 5 minutes before reservation and were escorted upstairs to be seated, when we got there and the table wasn't ready we were told to walk back downstairs and wait at the front (there is a bar upstairs we easily could of waited at)...We were then told a table was ready downstairs and were seated in a corner makeshift table...I liked that the chef personally came to our table and explained the dishes as that was a nice touch... my final gripe, I was charged $40 to hold the reservation, a 20% service charge, had a $200 dinner bill with only one martini on it and they charged me to refill my coke.. Haha, come on guys🤦‍♂️... at $4 per coke, I should be able to have as many as I want

    All staff is super friendly, we sat at the bar. We were greeted immediately, service was great. We started with the salmon bruschetta (not pictured) which was amazing. It had a nice lemon taste and the salmon was phenomenal. Coming from someone who doesn’t really like salmon. For our entrees we got the spicy gnocchi and rib eye to share. Which had a delicious garlicky chimichurri like sauce. We will definitely be coming back.

    Great ambiance! My pasta was undercooked / hard in spots. Bartender was very attentive. There were a lot of staff gathering right next to us just hanging out. Overall, not the level of quality I would have expected for the price point.
