   Not the best experience at Floriana’s. Always love it here but must have been an off day at brunch. Our food was lukewarm, the staff seemed a bit off - not on top of things such as asking for drink orders when first approached, clearing plates in a timely manner, offering boxes for uneaten food, etc.

   Service for drink was very slow, we would have ordered another but it would have come way after we were done eating. Food (all 4 of us) was just ok. We may come back for just drink at the bar downstairs but not for dinner.

   After hearing about Floriana for the year we have lived in the Wilmington area, we decided to give it a go last Saturday night. Now I understand why they had reservations available on a Saturday night at 7:30, same day. Let’s talk about the good, the bad, and the ugly. The Good: best thing I can say about our dining experience is that the service was good. There was plenty of waitstaff providing friendly and prompt service. Our waitress was friendly, and attentive. Water glasses got refilled multiple times without us having to ask, which is appreciated. The Bad: Food was disappointing. We ordered Caesar salad which was served warm (yuck) smothered in parmigiana cheese, bland dressing. The cheese and salami board was barely acceptable, nothing special. Dinner special “Mahi Mahi” and lasagna were just ok, not terrible but not delicious. Nothing we ate made us think “This is delicious, I will definitely come back for more”. The Ugly: The interior of this building is in need of a major renovation. Everything is just ugly and dirty looking. This building is in a great location (probably the only thing keeping it in business), it could be a gold mine if the food was good. The painted red walls and black trim looks old and dirty, the stucco ceiling is disgusting. I sat looking up at the ceiling and wondered how much dirt, dust, pollen, and who knows what else could be stuck up there and falling down onto our plates. There are so many good restaurants in the Wilmington area, this place is no competition. Sadly will not be repeat diners here. Oh, I forgot to mention when we entered the restaurant there was no hostess to greet us. We stood in the empty entrance waiting for someone to check us in for 5-10 minutes. If we didn’t have reservations we would have turned around and left. When the hostess did finally appear she made no apology for having us wait (which I feel is just common courtesy). There are better Italian restaurants in Wilmington, don’t waste time here.

   Service was good. It was not busy. Food was mediocre at best. Mussels were flavorless. Scallop dish was unimpressive and cold. Tarantelli’s was so much better.

   Went for anniversary dinner. Food was decent but service was a little slow. Our server was very nice. We sat on little balcony at our request. It was nice but chilly when sun went down. Was a little annoyed by garbage trucks passing by below but that is not the restaurant’s fault. My husband had a pork dish and I had a tenderloin pasta dish. We had the black gnocchi for appetizer. All were good. My Peartini was delish! The Pecan Pie with Gelato for dessert was just average. Nobody checked on us after our food came. We’d finished and were freezing out there. Our dessert was free for our anniversary which was nice. Our bill was 90 bucks for 2 entrees, one drink (not each) and one appetizer. We thought it was a little pricey. It was a Monday night and not crowded. We’ll probably go back and try it again. Not great, but not terrible.

    Ambiance was poor. Felt like I was in a banquet hall. The red and black paint scheme is atrocious. And why on earth is the silverware mismatched! Food was average at best. Salads were swimming in dressing. Sauce in the lamb gnocchi tasted burnt. Duck in the Duck gnocchi was definitely not confit. Tiramisu lacked coffee flavor. Too many better options for Italian food in Wilmington, especially at this price point.

    Excellent place to eat, my wife and me got Gnocchi both of us, one with lamb and the second one with duck, both of them were amazing. You really can't go wrong. The service was excellent!!

    I took my wife daughter and daughters boy friend out for Valentine’s dinner it was a wonderful 5 course meal. The atmosphere was great and and the view was stunning. I will be back

    A solid lineup of options to meet a variety of palates. Inventive and tasty cocktails- try the Italian 79 and the Manhattan Nero. The pork belly appetizer stood out and the burrata was a solid choice. The steamed mussels were among the best we’ve ever had. The mussels themselves were incredibly tender and the broth was amazingly flavorful and clean. Grouper special and branzino were well prepared, the latter with deliciously crispy skin. The spaghetti pesto and fettuccini bolognese pastas had the right amount of chew. The bolognese was more red sauce than a cooked down bolognese however. Good wine choices at reasonable prices. Try the fiano when going with fish dishes for a great match.

    All the food was excellent and the service was great. Only down side is all the dinning room seats are upstairs so If you have someone in your party that has an issues with stairs you will need to sit in the bar area.

    Everything in the menu was great. We ordered Calamari and Pork belly for appetizers, and had the scallop and shrimp risotto, branzino, short rib fettuccini and the scallops for main entree. The chocolate mousse was just perfect to end the dinner. It was rich but not too sweet. The Americano was just ok. Aside from the balcony tables, the ambiance is not very nice but the food and service made up for it.

    This place is a gem. The choices are so special. We have enjoyed almost everything on the entire menu. Savory, perfectly cooked and dynamic describes every dish like the pork cheek , lasagna , duck gnocchi and lobster ravioli. The wine list is thoughtfully curated. They have my favorite Albarino and Il Bruciato is a staple that I have never seen on anyone else’s wine list. This is by far , is my favorite Italian restaurant in Wilmington. I recommend to everyone with confidence and they never disappoint. Waitstaff is delightful and knowledgeable. I am a residential and commercial design consultant and I am teeming to give this restaurant a face lift. The atmosphere does not even come close to the uniqueness and perfection of the menu. From my understanding the owner is in Washington D.C. most of the time at his flagship restaurant. The food 5stars /A++++ Decor and atmosphere leaves much for improvement.     My guests enjoyed the house Pinot Grigio, lasagna, Sunday gravy, and pork tenderloin. I ordered the Ravioli. It was unusually dry and overloaded with walnuts. The pecan pie and chocolate mousse were tasty. We were disappointed that they didn't have cannoli on the menu. Service was friendly. I'm accustomed to seeing a 20% gratuity added to bills for groups of 6 or more. I was surprised to see it added for a group of 5. I'm glad I checked the itemized bill.

    My family and I have been to the restaurant a few times . It has become an all time favorite . The service was amazing !! We dined on a number of appetizers as well as delicious entrees’ and enjoyed them all . Thank you to our server !! She was fantastic !!
