    We went to Fifth and Rose for drinks before dinner, and were thoroughly impressed with not only the drinks, but also the ambiance and the excellent staff. We will absolutely return!

    Despite the fact that this restaurant made a reservation for us through Open Table and the reservation was verified by the concierge at the Pendry, when we arrived there was not a table available. The staff at Fifth and Rose did not seem concerned that they were unable to seat us. Therefore I can't rate their food or ambiance.

    Appealing location and decor, very noisy one moment but quite acceptable when pub crawlers depart for the next stop. Good wine list. Food was not quite as appealing as the menu suggests, although quite edible. Staff were skilled at dealing with a customer in some distress.

    Great service from our server. The drinks and food were also very good. We sat on the patio since the weather was nice and though the street noise was a bit loud it was not disruptive. This was not my first visit and I would come back again and recommend to others.

    Sam was amazing! Attentive and gave great recommendations! We will definitely be back for the mad hatters but deft for the service as well!

    We went for cocktails before dinner to celebrate a friend’s birthday. This was our first time there. When we arrived, there was nobody at the podium to check us in for the reservation. We kept trying to make eye contact with staff. I finally went up to the bar and said that we had a reservation. He said to sit anywhere. We sat outside. Nobody ever came to wait on us. We waited so long that we went in to find a menu. Still nobody came out. My husband had to go in to order drinks at the bar for the 4 of us and carry them all outside himself. The same thing happened with our second round of drinks. After he went in to close out his tab and came back to the table, a server came up and asked if we needed help. This was after an hour. I will say the cocktails were amazing. But service was surprising poor.

    I brought my boyfriend here for drinks after dinner. It was a Saturday night and the bar was crowded and loud. I had read that this was a more “chill cocktail spot”. However, i would not agree with that assessment. There was a DJ present spinning top 40 and electronic music. There was a lot of people making loud wooing noises. We were seated quickly by the hostess and the waitress took our order fast. The drinks were amazing. Everyone balanced and executed well. My only complaint is that I expected a small upscale bar that I would be able to hold a conversation in without shouting. This was not that. But if you are looking for a smaller, more upscale, clubby vibe, this is it.

    My friends and I came to celebrate Father’s Day for our husbands tonight and Justin was our server. He was amazing! He made our stay comfortable and very lovely overall. We’ll definitely come back again!

    Bartenders were wonderful. Hostess in front of place was nice. In front of hotel where we accidentally went were the rudest people I've ever met. Ignorant.

    Everything was great. The hostess was very accommodating. She gave us blankets because it was a little chilly outside and once a table opened inside moved us with out a issue. Our waiter Cody was great too. Definitely will go back

    Absolutely incredible drinks! Truly some of the best we’ve had. Also had the best pizza appetizer I’ve ever had in San Diego.

    We had drinks and apps. Drinks are pricey but delicious. They were out of propane due to shortage in S.D. so it was a bit chilly since it was only outside dining. Staff was friendly. I recommend for drinks.
