Amazing evening! Loved the code on door in lobby and then take you downstairs! Everything was fantastic: ambience, music, waiters, food! One the best steaks I have ever had, cut like butter! Fantastic addition to downtown Angola! I have been here for lunch also, and it was amazing as well! Well done!

This was my second time dining at Elixir and it was perfect. Kindest staff, best food, and most beautiful atmosphere. I love this place. We will definitely keep coming back.

What a great place in downtown Angola! If you are in the area, you must try it. Loved the speakeasy vibe, the food was great, and the service was outstanding. My only negative was the menu is very limited for someone that doesn’t eat meat or fish. Overall, it was great and I definitely will be going back.

One of the best tasting meals we have ever had. Unparalleled ambiance. Friendly staff, personal history of building and Angola given by owner. Very talented piano player providing background music. This is a true gem. Our new favorite restaurant!

My comments are based on what I would expect that when paying a premium price while dining any town. I would rate my enitre experience a 3.5 out of 5. I feel like the atmosphere is a little lacking and would benefit from some type of entertainment while there. Be it live entertainment or television. The interior was very nice. The table lighting could be enhanced. Our seating felt a little cramped and it was cold in the room. While overall the food was good, (shout out to the fresh bread) my 12 oz ribeye was too thin. It was cooked correctly but just too thin for a 12 oz. I find most premuim steaks are usually thick cuts of meat, smaller in diameter. My wife reported that her filet was a little tough. So my suggestion would be that maybe the steaks need to be procured from a market that provides better quality. A better steak could be found elsewhere for less. The Manager/Owner's presence was nice but I would have liked for them to follow-up around the room to check on the guests experience at some point in the night like other high-end restaurants do. The place is small enough to add that personal touch. The bartender was good and showed professionalism while being personable. The waitress was good but once business picked up, would have benefitted from extra help. When recieving a "to-go" box, it should be customary for the server to pack it for the diners and offer a bag to place it in. Preferrably a paper, logo bag from the site. I understand that this practice was discontinued during Covid but should at least be an option now. Lastly, I could not find a current menu online anywhere, including Google, the Elixir website nor Facebook. I like and appreciate the menu changing periodically but an available-up to date menu is a must to draw me back in from week to week and it should be on the website. I would recommend more advertising. Overall I enjoyed most but I see where some small improvements could take this restaurant over the top.
