The food was outstanding. The service was poor (and we do not expect much at all) the Frank Gehry building in which the restaurant is housed is magnificent. The waitress was perhaps having a bad day as there was an after party that lasted longer (after 6:00 pm on last Sunday) She was quite rude towards us, forgot many times to bring water, slices of lemon etc, ignored us when we requested anything. Knowing this, 2 men who were clearly not "front of the house" stepped in to serve/attend. They were decent and took care of the orders. The food was quite enjoyable, however, the menu card was inaccurate ( and very limited as opposed to the Website) and although we thought we had ordered food totaling $79, the actual bill came to $68 (in which case we would have ordered a small side to make it to a total close to $80)

We visited Edgemar the second time because we had TravelZoo voucher. This time, our experience was exceptional. The service was wonderful with the staff checking on us frequently to see if we need anything as well as clearing out empty dishes. In terms of the food, the menu was kind of limited but with enough variety. I ordered the bread as appetizer. It came out warm and crunchy served with some kind of cheese, it was delicious. For main course, we had salmon and penne pasta with wagyu meatballs. The salmon was cooked to perfection, it was moist inside with crispy skin, the best salmon I’ve had! The penne pasta was a bit salty and the meatballs were a bit dense but overall was a decent dish. I am glad I gave Edgemar another try, I definitely would come back again, especially for the salmon dish.

We tried this restaurant after finding it on the Little Red Book, and it did not disappoint! Everything we ordered was so good. We had the penne pasta with Wagyu meatballs and the steak fries—both were delicious! 🤤 For drinks, we tried the Oaxacan, which reminded me of an Old Fashioned, and an espresso martini. Both were SO good! 🍸 The vibe was chill, relaxed, and perfect for a casual night out. Definitely a spot I’d go back to!

45 minutes wait for dinner to be served. Choose to take it to go. Mustard on my dry Cheeseburger, never again. Dumplings were also not good and limited menu selection. Telephone number for business was not working.

Really wanted to like this place. Beautiful room, nice bar program, ok menu selection, good location. But on Friday, hardly anyone there so no vibe. Their bread service was $18! I was actually charged 13.50. It was a hot pancake with some creative dipping sauce. Good but pricy. Salads were delicious but way overdressed even when we ordered light dressing. Steak frites:, the steak was great but the subpar frites they served did NOT belong on the same plate as that beautiful steak. Order a drink from the bar that was quite nice and served chilled in a nick & nora glass This place is nice but a little "off" in several areas including the skill of the front of house staff.

The menu was limited and very different from what was posted on OpenTable. The food was ok, no WOW factor. We ordered cheeseburger, black ink pasta and Caesar salad. Some items on the printed menu weren't even available to order. I wanted to try the hamachi but it was out and I heard another item on the menu was also out from a table near us. Overall, price was on the high end, may be because of its location near Santa Monica beach.

Staff were very friendly. Our bread got delayed and they comped it which was very appreciated AND it was delicious. Chill music and vibe on a Friday night.

Service was friendly and attentive. Atmosphere was dark and romantic. My duck tacos were severely undercooked, but flavor was good. My date had the pasta with wagyu meatballs, and she said the meatballs were disappointing. Chicken dumpling appetizer was tasty but appallingly tiny. Because of the food quality, I will not return.

We went there to celebrate my Nephew and his girlfriend’s birthday. I noted when I made reservation. Sadly no one acknowledged at all. Besides we had to wait almost 25, 30 minutes apart for our main dishes to arrive, and no one apologized about it. Our waiter said was they were busy … yeah it was Friday evening … shouldn’t be busy ? Anyway, food was good … service sucks !!!
