Went to Dirty Habit for Brunch on a Saturday morning. Food was decent. It was fresh and well constructed but bland and overpriced. Service was mediocre, we waited over 25 minutes for our server to check in with us after we had finished eating so that we could request our bill. Unfortunately, we were disappointed overall. Hopefully others have a better experience!
The atmosphere was perfect, the food was amazing, the drinks were out of this world, and Dino, my server, was very helpful with suggestions! I'll definitely be back for more!
Sister bday lunch. We felt like the staff were catering directly to us.. The food was fresh and well seasoned!! We had a great time and have told many friends about this place to host events! We will be back!
Dino, apologies because I know I am spelling his name incorrectly, was amazing! He treated us so well and made sure that we had everything we could’ve needed! When I didn’t like a main course he made sure it was replaced with something of my liking. I would come back to this restaurant if for no other reason then the great service from Mr. Dino.

Had a few hiccups with our meal/dining, but once straightened out everything was fine. Staff was prompt to fix. Thankfully we were in no rush. Just hoping it was more related to staffing shortage than a general experience. Would definitely go back to try another time.
The food was decent. I ordered the Salmon, which was good. Wasn’t great. My husband ordered the hamburger and wasn’t overly impressed. I ordered a drink and it took a very long time to get my drink. The service was slow. But the atmosphere was great

I came for my friend’s birthday. Deena was our server. We had been wanting to try Dirty Habit for months and finally reserved a table for her birthday.
Upon walking in to sky high ceilings, dark and intimate lighting, beautiful sculptures and fixtures and an immaculate restaurant overall, the experience I write of is no surprise.
We started with a bottle of the Kermit Lynch Grenache/Syrah. Delicious and light.
Everything else was delicious—the watermelon tartare (vegan) and tuna not tataki were both refreshing and light. The watermelon tartare is very reminiscent of traditional steak tartare from the presentation to the texture and bite, though for the vegan palate.
Next, she enjoyed the sea bass and I the risotto (also vegan). The risotto was very savory (but not overly salty) with bright tasting beats and other complimentary flavors. My friend also loved it and took it to go so she could enjoy it later.
Overall, the food was phenomenal and very healthy. I aim for a (mostly) Paleo + Vegan style of eating and while I am not strict on it, I felt wonderful after enjoying the meals here.
The service was very attentive yet unobtrusive, friendly and considerate, and the atmosphere was breathtaking. Might I add our wine glasses never got empty, and our settings were rearranged for us when the small two top required. When we excused ourselves we came back to napkins neatly folded and a jacket hung on the chair as to not touch the floor. Deena offered to take photos of us and offered to take more if we would like to later in the evening. It was a very kind gesture!
Dirty Habit would also be the perfect, intimate date night spot as well. The perfect place to unwind after a stressful week or to celebrate being alive on a Tuesday. The music was quiet enough to enjoy while conversing. I loved everything about Dirty Habit and Deena was fantastic. We will be back soon!
The food was great. Service was off. Main door wasnt unlocked at time of our reservation. The staff seemed not ready when we arrived. They didn’t have the wine we originally ordered, tried to replace it with one not on the menu and no explanation which we rejected, then brought us the wrong bottle after we ordered another one. It was 30 mins into it and we still only had just water and no food or wine.
2nd time dining here for brunch and the steak and eggs with potatoes were fantastic. I had a chai white russian for the first time, which was delicious - not too strong and the salted caramel whipped cream really tied everything together. My friends and I shared donuts and churros and the churros were AMAZING! — Fresh, fluffy, melt in your mouth. Just spectacular. Out server was Sam and she was attentive and helpful.

Server was rude. Wait time was long for drinks and food and to order. We were given an outdated cocktail menu and then charged premiums for "custom" drinks (which ended up being more than shown on the outdated menu). It took 40+ minutes for some of the drinks to arrive and that was when the server finally told us that the menu was outdated and that they were potentially missing ingredients for one of the drinks.
Everything I ordered to eat was incredibly salty. The bartender had an attitude, but the hostess was an absolute delight! I would go again for the ambience, but eat some where else.
Reservations at 5:30. Waited 20 minutes for a drink. Staff was made aware that we had 7:30 Bocelli performance. First course arrived at 7:04. Main course 5 minutes later. Not the romantic, leisurely experience I’d hoped for.
Service was terrible unfortunately. In addition to having an excessive wait time for our meal, the truffle fries arrived cold and the risotto was incorrect.
Horrendous service only to be beaten by undercooked entrees 3 out of 4 dinners . How do you serve a rare steak that was ordered medium well. Both fish entrees were served essentially raw. We would have sent all three back had we not been sitting waiting for our entrees for 75 minutes and would have missed the Andrea Bocelli concert across the street ( which was awesome!). In short a nearly $440 bill could have been beaten by trudging 10 blocks in a snowstorm to a Golden Corral restaurant. This place should be called the Dirty Secret. Don’t go.

The service was pretty good. The wait staff seated us quickly. A bit slow to get us water and ask for our order but they were busy. There was an event there. The food was just okay. We ordered the steak and eggs. The steak was a bit under done and the potatoes a bit greasy. Just wasn’t loving it. The coffee was not up to par. I actually had grinds in my coffee on the lip of the cup. So it was either a dirty cup or it was a bad pot. Either case. Didn’t care for it all. I’d still go back. The ambiance was nice. Staff pleasant and they seemed to have other items on the menu I’d like to try.
I decided to try Dirty Habit because it was ranked one of the better brunches in DC. We drove in from Reston and valet parking was convenient. We were seated promptly at our reservation time at 10:30am. I received my mimosa order fairly quick. It was more of orange juice with a splash of champagne. The hot tea order took about 10 minutes. The waiter didn’t give my date a choice of tea to choose from. I notice there was two tea boxes on the bar behind us. We placed our food order. I ordered the streak frit and my date ordered the impossible burger. The waiter wasn’t attentive and seemed to place items on the table with a bit of a additional force. The waiter brought her a beef burger and she almost ate it. We sent it back and he said another one would be out in 10 minutes. The impossible burger came out and didn’t have all the same toppings. My steak which I ordered medium was medium well and tough. Took another 30 minutes to find the waiter to bring my check. Service was surprisingly slow for a light bunch crowd. Not a good value for just under $150.
The truffle fries are always a sensation but have added the mushrooms and crabby hand rolls to our favorites. The steak frites was perfect as always.
I didn't think Tuesday at 6pm would be a super busy window but the bar and restaurant were completely slammed so, despite having a reserved table, it still took more than 30min just to get a glass of wine. Add to that the extremely loud environment and it just wasn't an enjoyable dining experience.
Delicious and beautifully-presented food, great service, and a very romantic setting. This is a great place for a date night, and I will definitely go back.

Our experience was exceptional. Kudos to the phenomenal top first class service provided by our server Trevor.He made the experience absolutely wonderful and kudos to all the staff from the hostess to the chef. I love that everyone worked as a cohesive team in assuring the table was clear and cleaned immediately and water glasses filled at all times. Great adult beverages were suggested. And the food was good. We will definitely return. Again a most sincere and heartfelt thank you…
Lamb sliders are awesome, you must try them. Atlantic Salmon and Duck entrees are only exceeded by the quality of service, which is also amazing

Decor/ Ambiance were exceptional. Service was a little slow considering when we went, it wasn't that busy. The food overall is great! Overall, a great experience and will return again.

So, I normally don’t write reviews but I must say our experience was great. We arrived at our reservation at 8:30 and was told by the hostess that the restaurant was in the weeds and she didn’t know when we would be able to be seated. This made us uneasy considering that we were very hungry and needed to be reassured that we would be seated in a reasonable time. We asked for the general manager and when I say she was INCREDIBLE. She offered us a complementary drink and had us seated immediately. Our food came out extremely fast and everything was great.

This was the Thanksgiving dinner private event, and there was a set menu and price with choice of white or dark meat turkey and choice of sides and dessert. With three glasses of wine, it was $75 per person, which seemed reasonable for D.C. The tip is automatically added on, so $200 a couple. I would think most people would be generous and tip at least 20% or more on Thanksgiving, so felt that was unnecessary but okay. Our server didn’t seem happy to be there, not that I can blame her working on that day, but any question we asked about the food was met with a kind of “well duh” response, like of course they’re cooked this way! The glasses of wine were more like sips, tastings of 1oz. The turkey was very dry; the stuffing was burnt. I’m just surprised as usually this place is nice and the food and service are wonderful. That’s why I chose it over other places. Hopefully, it was a one-time thing - but maybe management needs to reward those working on a holiday better to ensure the higher standards are maintained?
Went in for a quick bite. Beets 4 ways always great, salad served with it is excellent and perfectly sized. French onion soup with short rib is an inventive and tasty take on an old recipe—the chef is a master.
