Daley's on Yates
Our hostess was a dip ! Sorry but true ❗️food was good of what they had ... for a Friday night by 8 they were out of a lot of things. Our waitress was great because we did order these Nachos (gross) but of what they did have Great stuff !!! Bartenders really should read menu because I ordered the same drink 3 times and each time it was different but Good 🥴.... We will try it again but Not on Friday night 😊😊😊😊
We ate at Daley's on Yates for the first time for my husband's birthday celebration! The waittress was wonderful, as was the service! This is a great restaurant with great food!!
Fantastic place and wonderful meal. Michael Anthony has a A+ restaurant.
4 of 6 dishes came out perfect. 2 were very underdone, despite asking clarifying questions about preparation before ordering. The place looks fantastic, staff was very good and attentive. First time there, will come back again and give them another couple of tries.
WE WERE DISAPPOINTED IN THE FOOD. SAUCE FOR MEATBALLS OLD AND BURNED, TUNA APPETIZER WAS BLAND, BEET SALAD NEEDED SOME LOVE, SHRIMP COCKTAIL WAS EXCELLENT, AS WAS THE SERVICE. HOSTESS SEEMED ANNOYED
Great Food, service was a little slow and the table of drunk ladies behind us spoiled the ambiance but strongly recommend
Loud, slow service from a rude waiter, food was mediocre at best and terribly overpriced considering the questionable ambience. Again, LOUD
Another great experience at Daley’s.
Outdoor next to the fire pit for dessert!
We cant get enough of this place.
I enjoyed the calamari. The use of kale and broccoli was different and I liked it. The wait staff were professional and attentive. I received personal attention from Nicky and Michael. They made my dining experience pleasurable. The warm potato salad with the grilled octopus was delicious. I will wholeheartedly recommend this restaurant to my friends. I can't wait to come back again.
Food was amazing and the service was top notch!!!!
First time there, will definitely be back
This restaurant is sheer perfection!
Creative menu, great service, great food in a really nice atmosphere. You can tell in a minute that they put a lot of thought into the entire package. We will return!
Pre show dining.
Let me set the incredible scene: 5:30 reservation for 2 people on a Proctor's show night. We walk in at 5;45 (i'm NEVER late for things) with 5 people. Yes, we're late for a table for 2 and have 5 people in our party due to a weird set of circumstance. I talk to the manager and explain that we'll just sit at the bar but want to release by table for two. The manager was WONDERFUL...said "let me see what i can do...and welcome back; i remember you from your last visit". Within 10 minutes they had a table for our large party and drinks in our hands. The service was great, the food was delicious. We had appetizers, entrees and wine/beer/cocktails.
Everyone agreed that their food was wonderful!
I'm still surprised at how quickly the staff and management was able to accommodate us so that we were able to sit at a table AND get to the show at Proctor's on time.
Highly Recommend Daley's on Yates!
Not sure I’d recommend. Food was good but I found a hair in my meal. Waitress didn’t check in after we received our plates and in fact didnt come back until my partner was almost done with his meal. Never had opportunity to report the hair. Once order was placed, another staff person brought the meal to us. Mentioned we would like another wine but didn’t appear that message shared with waitress.
Restaurant loud but nicely decorated and interesting. I expected much more and was disappointed.
I don’t typically write reviews, but I wanted to write this one to say how wonderful the food was and that I cannot recommend this restaurant highly enough. I had the halibut special, a bit pricey, but worth every penny. We were entertaining guests from Miami who are quite the foodies and it was really nice to impress them with such a great dining experience.
Dinner for two - Anniversary
- Service was excellent! Thanks Tiffany! How many miles did you walk that night?
- One of two dinners was excellent. My 16 oz. Prime Rib was massive! But it (one of two left) was practically raw and impossible to cut with the steak knife. I expect to cut prime rib with a butter knife. It was better after further cooking, but still tough. The taste was good, thanks to the au jus.
- Margarita from outside bar was too sweet. It was made with simple syrup.
- The inside seating was noisy. Thankfully the tables are not too close together.
- Our first two choices for bottles of wine were not available. We settled for glasses of 2 different wines, which we both liked . They have an interesting pricing on the wine. Bottles cost 2 times the glass price. I am used to seeing it closer to 4 times the glass price. That's why we wanted the bottle! :-)
I have high expectations given the Old Daley pedigree. I eat from their lunch cart twice a week in Albany. I ate at the old restaurant in Lansingburgh often for family occasions. Yes, I'm that old.
They definitely have a good waitstaff.
We will go back.
Unexpected to find this place in downtown Schenectady. Great food, wonderful ambiance. Found it odd that the bar closed at 9:30 on a Saturday night but loved the outdoor patio & fires.
Excellent food, drinks and atmosphere!! Can't wait to go back!
Great weather makes Daley’s fun to enjoy indoor and outdoor dining. The food portions are large with reasonable prices. Great variety in the wine list and full cocktail bar. Pork chop is on the bone and very juicy.
One big disappointment- I specified in the reservation that we wanted a table outside. There is a sign in the restaurant that outside seating is 1st come. When the hostess seated us there several empty tables outside but were told we could not sit there. Several of those tables remained empty for more than half an hour.
This is our 5th visit to your restaurant. All five times the entire experience was fantastic. Our server, Christina, was polite, charming, and very helpful. Not to mention, she tracked me down after finding my phone on the table and returned it. Can’t wait to come back.
My husband and I love this restaurant. We have eaten here several times and have had a great experience The quality of the food is excellent. It is so nice to eat out and knowing that you are getting good food. Also the sevice is also fantastic. Keep it up. Schenectady needs a place like this.
Food was delicious and reasonably priced. We had the most amazing waitress. Very knowledgeable about the drinks and the food. Only drawback was it was slow for the hostess to seat you... very slow. We had reservations and I would recommend that. Was overall a great time and would like to go again.
Easy and delicious!!
Wonderful. I can’t wait to go back
Had the crispy duck! Was absolutely fantastic. I’ve never finished a plate there but was compelled to gobble this up in its entirety!!
Excellent experience. From being greeted to end of the meal, everything was spot on. Our 2nd time there, the couple we went with was their first and they can't stop talking about it.
This is a literal diamond in the rough. The best place for a date, family get together, or girlfriend catch up. Terrific food, stellar service, and drinks with great pours. The fire puts with comfortable patio seating make for a wonderful nightcap experience as well. A must go!
Fourth trip to Daley's on Yates - great again. Bar service outside was very good. Varied menu so something for everyone and no one was disappointed. Watching other entrees come out makes me want to come back.
Both the food and the service were excellent. Our meals were generally enjoyable. However, the noise level from the patio was a bit much for someone seeking a quiet, romantic dinner. The acoustics need help.
Watch the Chef make your Dinner. Specials always unique to area.
The only negative really was the bartender. He had disappointed and offended us during two separate evenings. Slow, rude and inappropriate. Could affect our decision making about location in the fuitre. ( and we were a party of 10)
The food is good, but the bad service is unbearable
This was our first time at Daley's. We really enjoyed our food. It's a very nice atmosphere, tables are a bit close together for my liking and the place is loud. But that could be to your liking! Overall a wonderful experience. We will return.
It was the perfect place for a girls night out dinner! The food was absolutely amazing!
The food and service were very good. Our only complaint was the uncomfortable noise level, which rendered conversation just about impossible.
Our food was really, really good but really pricey. Presentation was excellent. Portions were on the large side. My wife's scallops entree dish was too salty. The service was very attentive and engaging -- it ramped up the total experience. Very creative configuration of the space and overall interior design -- we loved it -- very modern, but not over the top. Wine by the glass was very pricey -- unreasonably so. We ordered a bottle instead. For us the biggest con was the noise level -- very unpleasantly loud. We'd suggest going on other than a Friday or Saturday evening and requesting a table well away from the bar, outside in particular, when they offer outside service.
Had reservations for 2 @ 6:15pm on a Friday. This was my first time at Daley's. My wife had herb crusted chicken and I had the 16oz. Ribeye, medium rare. Both dishes were outstanding. My steak was a perfect medium rare and the Gorgonzola butter complimented it very nicely. The herb crusted chicken was very flavorful and juicy. After dinner, we took what remained of our wine out to the patio and enjoyed the rest of the evening. We didn't do desserts as we were full from the dinners. Will definitely come back again!!
