   Food was decent, very small menu, not a lot of options at all. Drinks were ok. A bit over priced for what you are getting.

   Our table really enjoyed all of the food overall. I had the seafood linguini and it had abundant seafood which was delicious but the pasta dish itself was somewhat bland. The ambiance would have been great but the decibel level between the musician and the nearly full restaurant made it difficult to carry on a conversation at our table of 6 people.

   Jorge and Juan were great attentive friendly and Knowledgable I’m not a seafood person so I got the margerita pizza and it was fantastic !

   Ambiance: inside or outside are so nice. We sat by the fire pit which was nice and cozy. Service: Could feel a lil stress and thinking they were under staffed. But usually always great. Your water will not be empty. Food: Oysters were small but love the fresh cut horseradish and vinegar. The burger and truffle fries are always solid. Miso halibut was good but the mashed potatoes were average at best. Key lime pie is delicious and so are the gelato and sorbets. Comes with a warm chocolate chip cookie! 😋 Went next door to listen to the live music after. Was a fun night.

   We stayed in Mission Bay Resort for 4 days so we ate a lot here. We tried their brunch, lunch and dinner menu- Everything was absolutely delicious especially the french toast, clam and bacon pizza, steak (melt in your mouth), and chocolate mousse for dessert. Even their gelato was amazing. My only critique is the seafood linguine. Pasta was cooked perfectly and seafood were very fresh, but the dish needed a bit more salt and acidity. Overall, we love this place and glad its by the hotel. Also, service was excellent and the restaurant manager is there every night checking in on every guest.

   It was a beautiful sunny day and we dined on the patio. Breakfast was so tasty and our service was great. You cannot beat the view too!

   Went for the Valentines Day dinner, and unfortunately, the rain had moved everyone inside, which made for a less intimate experience, to say the least. Otherwise, the food was outstanding, and the service was spot on.

   We did the valentines’s pre fixed meal course. Let’s just say it was a pretty good menu, however, not as delicious as it sounded. It was plain. Service was also okay; the server forgot my drink and when i reminded him about it, he actually blamed me for it. I definitely need to come back to try other items from the menu because i really want to like the place and bring my friends.

    Food: Octopus, Pappardelle and Truffle Fries…and cocktails were yummy. They also have great salads. Service: always wonderful Ambiance: sat right next to fire pit on the patio and was so warm and romantic. It’s a spot that people may forget about as it’s located in the Mission Bay Hotel…highly recommend. Will be back.

    It’s been awhile since I’ve been really happy with a new place! This place is a little gem. Food was fantastic! My sister and I split the blueberry lemon marscapone pancakes and the Juevos rancheros. Delish! I especially loved that the coffee was fresh and they give you the entire pot and leave it at the table so you don’t have to wait on a refill. My sister opted for tea and it’s very good quality, organic. You can’t beat the view either. We sat on the outdoor terrace tables on a fairly chilly morning and the fire pit and heaters warmed it up perfectly. I’ll definitely be going back! Would love to try their lunch and drink options next. Well done covewood!

    The waiter spent more time paying attention to the 3 women at another table then providing me and my husband service. It was like we weren't even there and we were an after thought.

    First time eating here. Food and ambiance were amazing. My only complaint was our server. Not very attentive. It was just me and my friend and he only stopped by once during the entire time we were there. A big group came in about halfway through our meal and it seemed like he stopped by their table five or six times during the remainder of our meal. I understand that the bigger the table, the bigger the tip typically, but when serving at a nice restaurant, guests should be treated equally.

    Had Christmas dinner here for prix fixe $75.00. This offered an assortment of starters, entree and dessert. The salad (mixed green with fruit) and lobster bisque were both good (although the bisque was luke warm). The lamb shank was overcooked and dry and tasted like it had been microwaved and the dessert of buche de Noel was just o.k. Service was O.K., server was friendly however food (which was brought by a busser was all lukewarm, which there was absolutely no excuse for as they were never full and there was plenty of staff mulling around). Wine was never poured. This really felt like it was, a resort restaurant. Not very professional and a little too relaxed (I was asked to take my silverware off the plate after the first course so they wouldn't have to bring new silverware). I might get a room there in the future but no t dinner.

    Everything was cold. Service was ok, but food was well below expectations for the cost. Started with bread plate which was 2 rolls and 2 pieces of dried cranberry bread. Salad was basic (bagged I'm sure) with little to nothing else on it. Everything was "family style" which should have been our first clue to the quality of the meal. The sea bass was a small perfectly square fillet which made it appear to be some kind of frozen prepackaged deal. The very worst thing was the lamb. It was hard, cold and flavorless. Again, the staff was doing their best, though they seemed to be scurrying everywhere with very little tables full. This meal was $75.00 bucks per person and we all ended up going to taco bell a couple of hours later to get full.

    We both had the cioppino and it was by far the best I've ever had. The broth was perfect and it was filled with shrimp, scallops, mussels, and salmon. Incredible dish! And the evening was capped off with amazing salted caramel gelato. Perfect! This was probably the best dining experience I've had in a long time. The service was engaging but not overly so and made the even delightful. A perfect way to begin the holiday season.

    We ordered a margarita with salt and was charged $15 for what tasted like lemonade and no salt. Plus it was delivered in a highball glass. The waiter told us the usual bartender did not mix the drink. We didn't complain but this is the highest priced margarita we ever had. Other than that everything was great.
