   Seated right away with a reservation. Took our coffee order and waited 15-20 minutes for a cappuccino and a latte to arrive. There appeared to be someone who carried around a platter of pastry offerings to each table, but they never came by our table. We waited nearly 1/2 hour for a bowl of diced apples, melon and a couple of strawberries after asking why the wait. Tables seated after us were already served their hot meals. Ciena French toast was one piece of bread topped with 1/2 cup of sour cream or ricotta, couldn't tell, and blueberry compote. Chilaquiles was a bowl of chips soggy with spicy green salsa and one egg. We have very rarely given bad reviews, but we were really disappointed with this breakfast after so many other great reviews.

   Me senté y nadie me atendió los meseros con mucha actitud mejor me fui y no comí ahí. Nadie se acercó a ofrecerme de tomar ni nada. Los meseros están muy ocupados y no tienen tiempo de atenderte. Pésimo su servicio.

    Great place and wonderful food. I hope they will consider some work on interior design as it truly doesn’t match the level of food served here. That’s the only place I visited twice during my trip to Mexico this week and I’ll definitely be back

    Ensalada tan salada que estaba incomible. Pasta le faltaba sal y la salsa muy grasosa. Bloody Mary tan salado que no pudimos acabarlo. Cada cosa que pedimos tuvimos que pedir dos o tres veces.

    Ciena is a charming restaurant. It has excellent food and the staff is top notch. We sat on the patio and was perfect place for an aperol spritz and a bit to eat.

    Esta todo muy rico, interesantes combinaciones y sabores Pero sus porciones son muy pequeñas para el precio, demasiado Al principio el servicio bien pero luego como que te abandonan En el menú viene un sándwich de pollo y por decir sándwich pues no se sentía atractivo Luego lo vimos pasar y preguntamos y era más una hamburguesa o bollo que de haber sabido lo hubiéramos probado En fin creo que puede ser algo mejor Aún así nos gusto y regresaríamos

    Amazing place and service!! The server helped us with tons of recommendations and the night ended up being a success! Definitely recommend the cheese entrance, ravioli and pasta with ribs and the cheesecake as dessert

    Restaurant near our apartment in the Condessa. We were getting a bit tired of everything on or In masa or tortillas. Ciena came to the rescue. The restaurant serves what I call California food: fresh Mediterranean food with influences from all over the world. Very friendly and welcoming staff. Good food. We are chef’s and just returned from Rome. I ordered the risotto with some trepidations but the seafood risotto was quite good. The Arborio rice and it was perfectly cooked: slightly Almost home. dente. The seafood stock used to make the risotto was very flavorful. The dish could have been a bit more creamy (a bit of butter and stock) but certainly acceptable. My wife’s roast beef sandwich was delicious. Perfect bread. Lots of veggies and freshly sliced grilled beef. Come here for a small bite or a full meal or just a drink. Prices are slightly high but not too bad.

    Excellent restaurant. The kale salad is to die for, and that was, hands-down, the best burger I ever had in my life. Slightly pricey, but definitely worth it. Special mention to the amazing mezcal cocktail

    Los meseros, medió creídos, el supervisor si estaba atento, el servicio malo, pedimos unos lattes al principio, y se tardaron muchísimo en dárnoslo, mientras que a las mesas de a lado que habían llegado después, les dieron prioridad, por lo que me da la impresión de que son clasistas. Al igual de que no nos querían dar una mesa en la parte de adentro, (ya que fui en la mañana y hacía mucho frío).

    Lovely restaurant with great service and food. However, it seems to be popular with large American parties. There was a bachelorette group of about 20 that were loud. It’s good business for the restaurant, but we avoid those groups at home. All that said, the food is very good and an excellent value.

    Beautiful space. Nice vibe. Absolutely freezing in restaurant. All patrons were wearing coats. Kale beet salad amazing. Hubby’s por Jetta was excellent. My beef tenderloin, ordered medium was gelatinous when served. Had to go back. Really not acceptable but it does happen. This wasn’t even rare. It was raw in the middle. Recommend for bar menu. Save your $ and go somewhere warmer.

    Our first time at Ciena was excellent. I went with my wife on a whim since we’d walked past the restaurant a few times. Sitting down, we were amazed at the simplicity and beauty of the decor and even remarked on the size of the two-top (it was big and easily fit drinks, shared plates, and entrees; unlike two-tops that are way too small to accommodate an entire meal). We ordered fresh lemonade (wonderfully tart), sea bass tostada (fresh fish, good portion, fresh toppings), the braised short rib pasta (delicious sauce, though needed more reduction), and the mafaldine with arrabiatta (gorgeous homemade pasta, fun shape, spicy sauce). For my wife’s birthday they brought us a beautiful chocolate dessert. It was fudgy, not too sweet, and the cream was a gorgeous texture. Service was wonderful. Food was fantastic. Decor was amazing. All around excellent experience.

    Ciena es una cálida experiencia, una apapacho para el alma. Al ser un cliente regular te empiezas a dar cuenta de otras cosas en un lugar. En el caso de éste, descubres un poco de la cultura detrás, descubres que son una familia, ves el respeto con que se hablan, la buena vibra. Se ve también el trabajo y el talento. Obvio al ir muchas veces también te das cuenta de la consistencia en la calidad de los platos y la búsqueda por descubrir su identidad. Felicidades Ciena.

    Eating at Ciena is such a beautiful experience, from the incredibly delicious food to the warm hearted team, the food is filled with love and nothing short of devine! I’ve had the pleasure of tasting many items from their menu and will confirm there is no wrong choice :) If I play favorites tho, I like to start with the arancini, babaghanoush, or hummus. Then I would recommend the seafood risotto or the ravioles (or both if you can) which are both jaw-droppingly yummy. If there’s room for some sugar, the chocolate dessert is the perfect way to wrap up the dining experience. A 10/10 and a frequent visit for me when I’m in Mexico City <3
