By far the best Chinese restaurant I’ve been in in more than 25 years. Food is excellent and good value for money. Will be back again but I’m thinking it will be harder to get a reservation!

10/10 The food was phenomenal and genuinely blew us away. Two of us came for a birthday dinner, and the service was excellent. All of the staff were friendly and very helpful throughout the evening. The cocktails were refreshing and among the best I’ve had at a restaurant, with some really fun twists on classic favourites. The menu had a huge variety of options, so we were genuinely spoiled for choice. To note we went on a Tuesday which is why atmosphere maybe wasn’t as busy but still they filled tables in sections so felt busy for the amount of people there. Our order: Pork & chive dumplings and pork ribs to share as starters. The dumplings stole the show, but the sauce on the ribs was to die for. For mains, we had the beef & black bean and the seafood wok-fried rice. Both were delicious and generously portioned. We didn’t order any extra sides and were absolutely stuffed afterwards. The waiters also brought out a complimentary birthday bun, which I’d struggle to properly describe, but it was a lovely gesture and a great way to finish the evening. Drinks (don’t remember the exact names, but roughly): * Passion fruit saketini: amazing flavour, almost with dessert-like notes. * Sake bramble: sweet and very refreshing. * Lychee sake mojito: incredibly light, refreshing, and easy to drink. * Sake sour: a perfect balance of egg white, sake, and citrus flavours.

Enjoyable dinner with starters & msins. Ribs for starters were v good, prawns msin and pork with jalapeno also very good

First time dining at this restaurant and would really recommend it. The food was really good and well presented. The staff were very attentive without being overpowering and explained in detail when asked about the dishes. The ambience of the restaurant was really good and loved the decor. We will be back. Many thanks.

Absolutely 5 stars for China Hunan 小湖南 in Ranelagh. Every dish was bursting with flavour. The staff were incredibly welcoming and attentive. Great location. Highly recommend!

The menu is great, something for everyone. Food is delicious. Good value too I really thought I wasn’t a fan of Chinese food until I ate here. Will definitely be back . Would highly recommend.

Went for my Dads 66th birthday yesterday evening. Got the peking duck to share as a starter between the 6 of us and it was absolutely perfect. We all got a main each and the portions were very generous. All mains were very tasty and the service was great as usual. This is my second time back here and it was as good as the first. Brilliant !!
