Wonderful as always.
Outstanding food and wonderful, thoughtful service.
Wonderful dining experience! The pate with bread was delicious and the oysters we ordered were excellent. Enjoyed entrees and desert too! Can't wait to come back and would highly recommend.
Escargot was excellent. Liver pate was great. Fish of the day was excellent, and the duck with orange sauce was very good. Overall traditional French restaurant with many traditional choices.
We love this restaurant. We no longer live in the area, but when we make our trips to the Desert for much-needed sun, we always make a reservation here and are never disappointed. The service is fantastic--as soon as you are seated, they greet you, give you water, and ask for your cocktail order. The food is delicious, and the prices are very good for what you get. We always leave satisfied and tell the staff how professional they are. No amateurs here--the Chef and down the line.
We were a party of six and everyone raved about how good their meal was but yours truly. I ordered the liver which I have done other times that we have visited Chez Pierre. The last time I ordered liver it was over the top! This time it was grisly and over cooked. I asked for it to be cooked medium. This is not so much a complaint as it is a "heads up" to the kitchen. Do not despair....we will be back!
Chef Pierre prepares authentic French cuisine that reminded me my home cooking . Every dishes were delicious! Sweetbreads dish was excellent and the beef tongue was outstanding!
Do not skip Pierre beignets even if you think you don’t have room for dessert! Those doughnuts are melting in your mouth.
Overall great diner, great service. Drive from Palm Springs worth it!
The food was OK to very good. Some of the bread pieces were very good and others OK - a bit on the dry side. Kudos for having room temperature butter! I loved the oysters; chilled (which was great), but not a lot of variety. My frisee salad could have used some fresher greens and the egg yoke was a bit overcooked; not runny enough - it was an average salad. I liked the mussels - lots of them and not overcooked and the broth was very good. The cream brulee was standard issue. Service was outstanding; from the initial greeting upon arrival to the waitperson (and apologies for not getting his name). He was quite wonderful - attentive, pleasant, friendly.
Our favorite restuarant in the desert, and our go-to Friday night date place! The service is wonderful, food is authentic and inventive, Pierre and his wife are the best hosts and we're always made to feel very welcome!
Just excellent. So good that we made a second reservation for another dinner while visiting the area.
Sweetbreads and veal kidney were both delicious. Creamy pate is served with some very fresh bread. Everyone was helpful and service level was outstanding.
Both the veal piccata and the beef bourguignon were delicious as were the profiteroles for dessert. Great server. We had a wonderful time.
If you are craving French bistro food, this is the place! Wonderful selection of authentic dishes, reasonably priced wines, and great service.
Wonderful dining experience.
Very good authentic French food. Escargot excellent and the Dover sole special was superb.
The place was crowded with happy diners, the service was gracious and the food was delicious. It was my first visit to Chez Pierre but it definitely won’t be my last.
The food was superb and the service was excellent. I use to spend time in Paris and miss this cuisine. I have found this quality in Chez Pierre Bistro and will return often.
Service was excellent. Seated promptly. The onion soup was delicious and perfectly cooked with a lovely melted cheese crust. The rack of lamb was nicely prepared. The beignets were light and delicious. My only complaint and the item that kept them from five stars was the escargot. They came out of the kitchen basically superheated/slightly burnt. They had a bitter taste due to the charred pesto/seasoning. However, I was really hungry so I ate them. Slightly rubbery but edible. The bread was light and fluffy with a crispy crust. I would definitely return and recommend.
We always have a good experience at Chez Pierre and this time was no exception. We took friends who had never been there and they, too, were very impressed. The menu isn't extensive, but everything we've ever tried has been excellent. My favorite is the orange roughy. The service is great and we will go back again and again.
Dining with friends. First time. Great!!!
We had not been here in over a year because of the pandemic closings. We are so happy Chef Pierre has weathered the storm and opened up again to serve the great food he cooks. The service was great, as it always has been, and the food outstanding. This is, I think, the best French restaurant in the valley.
Anniversary . Perfect place !! Love it !!
Have always enjoyed Chez Pierre. Excellent food and service. Attentive staff and great chef.
Excellent meal and service! Perfectly prepared duck and beef. Beignets are not to pass up! Outstanding value for classic French fare.
Everything about dining at Chez Pierre is wonderful. I returned for a second meal because of Steak Tartare, and what a delight it was.
As always excellent food and outstanding service !
Quite excellent food, horrible wine list. Then they have the nerve to charge $25 corkage! 😂
Hadn’t been there in four years, as we live in the Midwest. So pleased that they were able to reopen last month, after one year!
The food and service were exceptional; just as I remembered it from our last time there.
Excellent as it has been for many years.
Fabulous service and amazing food! Can’t wait to go back.
We have been coming here for years and the food is always excellent. We had sand dabs which were fantastic. I would have licked my plate, but restrained myself
Great French food - as usual. Pierre is an amazing cook
A wonderful find. My husband practically licked his plate after the duck with orange sauce.
Classical French bistro food and service at its finest. I can’t wait to return!
Wow! what an experience, this restaurant is a treat, the food is Magnifique! I had the orange roughy fish with beurre blanc sauce and it was outstanding. The chocolate mousse was delightful. Service is excellent will definitely return when I am in Palm Spring. Thank you Chef Pierre:)
This spot is a gem. French bistro with creative dishes and nice wine list. Want to go back so that I can sample the desserts:)
First timer, great food. The staffs are great.
We have been going to Chez Pierre for 20 years. It had been quite some time since we visited and we were very excited to have dinner there so made a reservation. It was very unfortunate that we waited 45 minutes to be seated all while standing near the door. We were never offered a seat or something to drink and were told 3 times that the table was being cleared. We finally offered to help clear it and then it was cleared. Food was great but not sure if we feel it was worth it and will go again.
Make sure you always ask about the daily specials ... most of the time there are amazing things that are spectacular.
We were in PD for one night and came across Chez Pierre Bistro through Open Table. It was a delightful experience - chef/owner comes to your table to chat, food was on point and there is something for everyone! Will definitely be back when in PD!!!
Wonderful experience! Delicious food! Great service!!
