We are a New York steakhouse with a twist. Our Executive Chef is the only one in Southern Connecticut to use the old world technique of skillet cooking; producing the most perfectly cooked steak. Besides our steak entrees, we also offer the freshest seafood, lamb and duck entrees, as well as daily specials prepared to perfection by our master chefs. All of our beef is perfectly aged and hand cut on the premises. We use only the finest ingredients, the freshest seafood and Prime Angus beef; each presented with simple elegance.                                                                                                                                     This place is fantastic!!!! Do not recommend dessert. Been here 4 times in the past year and loved appetizers and entrees, but have tried 8 different desserts with mixed degrees of bad. Company they got ice cream from recently changed, and the ice cream was shaped and frozen solid like you would get from the elementary school lunch line. Also told us after it could have been frozen from freezer breakage earlier in week, and they didn’t check refrozen products. I expect high quality ice cream from an establishment of this caliber.

                                                                                                                                    After we were seated, we waited 15 minutes for water service and then had to call the restaurant to let them know we were being ignored..took 15 more mins to get a drink..took 55 mins for our appetizers to arrive, took another 30 for entrees to arrive and my 12 oz filet was raw and chewy..guess they don’t understand what medium rare is..I spent over 1200 dollars and dinner took 2 1/2 hours…I will never go back..I will never recommend it and I will let all 500k fb followers how bad the restaurant is.. my guests were South Korean and I definitely felt there was some racism and bigotry by the staff… Absolutely disgusted…

He made the experience smooth and enjoyable. I had the Mediterranean beet salad and the beef empanadas. My husband had the breakfast burger. Everything was served hot and was delicious! We also really enjoyed the ambience. It’s great for a romantic date or special occasion. We plan on going back.

                                                                                                                                    Brett was awesome - we were not rushed at all. Only thing is once the restaurant becomes full it’s harder to have a conversation amongst your table. But I will definitely be back - food was awesome!

                                                                                                                                    The food was great - best clam chowder ever. The steaks were delicious but I do feel they were overpriced and the temperature of the steaks, in our opinion, were off. Hubby likes medium rare but his was more on the rare side. I like mine medium, but it was more towards medium rare. Still very good and would go back. The service was impeccable - friendly and attentive.

                                                                                                                                    This restaurant is excellent! 4 of us went for a birthday dinner and it was great from beginning to end. The service was great, attentive, fast and funny. For food we all got a lot of apps and sampled what we wanted. Tuna tartar special was delicious. The fellas had beef carpaccio, the mac and cheese with bacon and the Wedge salad and loved all of it. Mac & Cheese was the favorite of the three. Also did raw bar, clams and oysters - yum! For entrees the guys got 2 strip steaks a a filet. All loved their dishes and had plenty to take home (we definitely filled up on apps!) I had the chilled crab and avocado for my main and it was good. Not mind blowing but good. Drinks were yummy, the noise level was nice, could easily hear ourselves talk. The bar seemed louder when we walked through, so if you want quiet choose the main dining room. Overall a great night out and we cant wait to go back and sample more! Well done.

                                                                                                                                    My son & I shared the Chateaubriand. It was outstanding !!! This was our 2nd visit & there will be many more. Everything was super. Home made is always better. Keep up the fantastic work.

                                                                                                                                    We visited this establishment on behalf of New Haven’s restaurant week, reservations were easy to make on open table and we were swiftly taken to the last room We’re tables were very closely placed together. The food was delicious, the wait staff splendidly pleasant and overall we enjoyed our visit.

The only complaint I have is that there was a table with 2 ladies behind us that were playing Tic Toc videos VERY loudly & no one on the staff asked them to turn them down or off. Definitely ruined the atmosphere that night. We were definitely not the only table annoyed. Just REALLY wished someone had spoke up to them. Luckily they left after like 10-15 minutes of videos.

Last night my steak was quite rare, and I was giving a hot frying pan to finish it myself. I didn’t find this an acceptable solution, but rather than risk ruining everyone’s experience, I had it packed to go. I won’t be coming back. It makes me very uncomfortable to send food back, not going to risk it

It was a busy night and I suspect they were understaffed. The only improvement I can suggest is installing some noise reducing material on the walls. Sound bounces it off of everything, making it hard to ignore conversations from neighboring tables.

                                                                                                                                    Had a Thursday off so went down for an afternoon bite at 2:00pm. It was quiet with eight other people finishing up their lunch. Food came out hot and presented well. Easy to spot if we needed our drinks refilled. Water container was refilled too. Sat in bar area. Soft cushion seats were comfortable. Sharp knife, hot cast iron, tender meat, broccoli and garlic mashed potatoes Make a great meal together. French onion soup, escargot, and oysters were a great start. Leftovers are great for lunch tomorrow at work.
