Salad, soup and dessert were delicious. Sea bass, fishy smell, veal over cooked???
A true taste of Italy right here in St. Louis!
Just an amazing place, service was outstanding, food was excellent, noise level a little high, wine list was massive...could not have been better.
What a fabulous dining experience! Exquisitely beautiful. Superb service, our server was Margaret.
Loved everything about the restaurant. My Ziti was fresh, flavorful & fabulous.
Shared a Margherita pizza as appetizer. So delicious.
We waited months for this reservation and it was definitely for it! 10/10 drinks, food, service. So happy St. Louis has a restaurant like this!
Andrew is a consummate professional and the Reataurant is the most authentic Italian in St. Louis.
It was spectacular! The place looks outstanding. The food is very good best tomato sauce anywhere. Menu is difficult. Just two salads that are okay but not great. Pizzas good pastas good not great choices. Desserts wonderful. Did enjoy our time there.
Authentic Italian. Like being back on the Almafi coast! Ordered just about one of everything.
Service level is not at a luxury level for the price points and a Ritz Carlton.
The Margherita Pizza was the standout no question. The bread service was great. Service was great minus the wait at the entrance where no one greeted us for about 10 minutes. Cocktails were ok; I really only liked 1 (espresso martini) out of 3...I was expecting better from the bar. Pasta was kind of bland, not much flavor and the shrimp were overcooked and tough.
This place was good but not great. The server was friendly & attentive and suggested some things, but we went in a different direction, so maybe we ordered wrong. Also, my husband and I consider ourselves foodies to some extent so I think maybe our expectations were too high.
Fresh, authentic (REALLY AUTHENTIC) Italian cuisine. Beautiful, open restaurant with exceptional decor. Every bite Chef Sergio serves up is delicious.
Love this place! A true foody place, great culinary experience, fresh ingredients. STL is lucky to have this place.
We were luck to get a reservation (required) for breakfast and surprised to learn the restaurant was offering a buffet as well as a la carte options. Service was attentive and exceptional in that guests were not allowed to fill their own plates: a staff member took direction to place various items on a plate. While this method certainly was COVID-era appropriate, and no doubt reduces food waste considerably, it tended to make one hesitant to return for seconds or to try another item or two. The restaurant is bright and interesting, and understandably extremely popular. Make reservations far in advance!
Wonderful Devore…amazing and friendly service with incredible food!
For our first visit to Casa Dona Alfonso my husband and I chose a number of courses that could be split. The best was the eggplant parmigiano. And the trio of gelatos for dessert. We liked the Ziti pasta which gets shipped from Italy. His salad was outstanding and beautiful to look at. I always order fresh English pea soup when I find it and this one came in a small copper pot and amazingly was low calories. Looking forward to going back to try some more things on the menu.
Our chairs were not comfortable - the only negative.
This restaurant is beautiful! And the food is divine. We already cannot wait to come back and try more items. The service was fabulous as well, made us feel so welcome. Special shout out to Dane behind the bar and our fantastic server, Juan Carlos!
Beautiful space, courteous staff and delicious food! Carpaccio, Caprese Salad, Tagiatelle w/ Shrimp and Veal Pizzaiola were great. Our only slight disappointment was in dessert. The phyllo pastry cone w/cinnamon cream didn’t taste fresh and was dry & rubbery. We regretted not ordering the Tiramisu! Next time!
Reservations are very difficult yet tables set for 10 and 12 sit empty. And how many empty seats are at all the bar areas. Probably fill at night but is that a fine dining experience sitting at a bar? Seating needs to be thought out. And don’t use Covid as an excuse. Looks like plenty of room available. Tony’s down the street is packed. No room wasted.
Everything from the service to the food and atmosphere made it my new favorite restaurant in St. Louis. Will definitely be back!
The staff was amazing and provided excellent service. The food was delicious and the ambiance made me feel like I was transported somewhere else.
Great service by Dallas, amazing food and lovely ambiance. We will be back!
The ambiance was outstanding - gorgeous restaurant! Lasagna and cocktails were also dreamy!
Great food and service. I’m not a fan of bright lights and glitzy atmospheres, however.
Our lunch was outstanding! My daughter and I had their lasagna, which was divine! My husband got lentil soup and a margherita pizza, which he loved! We shared a lemon profiterole plate for dessert, which was the perfect ending to a lovely meal!
Very positive employees
Exceed our expectations
We’ll be back !!
Outstanding service, excellent food especially the authentic Neapolitan-style pizza - but the limited scope in the menu and high prices may limit the appeal for some.
Beautiful dining room, delicious food. Juan was our server and took great care of us. I look forward to going back soon for breakfast.
The first time I went everything was perfection. Fresh lettuce salad was almost family size. And the soups superb. Pizza yummy.
Recently I took my mom and sister for their first time to celebrate a belated Mother's Day.
I actually asked our server is the fresh lettuce salad still huge. Our server said yes. So for 3 people we got 2 and asked if possible could they split them in the kitchen.
I was so surprised when they came out. Nothing to eat. And $15 each. No protein just a few nuts, dried fruit, feta, and greens.
Very disappointed. Plus we got charged a $5 fee for having them split. I think if you are going to charge for splitting you need to tell the customers. Especially when we weren't using hard menus but instead the icon and sometimes you miss the fine print.
Beautiful place and I'd like to go back but portions plus price policies need to be friendlier.
We noticed the attention to detail at lunch today. From the beautiful Decour and furniture in the restaurant, to the very kind and attentive wait staff, to the artfully display of food, it was all at a high impressive level. You all made our day very special.
This place is an absolute gem! My husband and I ate lunch here for our anniversary and it was outstanding. Having this restaurant in St. Louis is a total score for Clayton and the region. Kudos to The Ritz staff for creating this partnership.
The butcher block was fresh and the pea soup is the best I have ever had. Ever. For desert you have to try the Lemon Profiteroles.
Our server Margaret was knowledgable and ensured that we had everything we needed for the perfect anniversary lunch.
My friend and I had an amazing dinner at Casa Don Alfonso! First, the space itself is gorgeous. I love how you can see the chefs preparing all the food. The hosts/hostesses/waitstaff were so nice and attentive. And the food itself was awesome! We shared the farmer's board, my friend got the tagliatelle, and I had the nduja pizza. I can't wait to go back and try their brunch!
Our server was awesome!!
This was our fourth time dining at
Surprised there was no brunch available on Saturday at 11:00 or breakfast. One of the guests had fish that was not even edible- tasted so fishy. Not sure it was even the cod that was ordered. Disappointed overall with quality of everyone’s food.
What a great addition to the Ritz! The decor, service and food are outstanding! Set aside some time to enjoy this newly opened restaurant.
Food is wonderful ambience superior waiters and waitresses beyond helpful they were awesome
Is good. Do I need to know the story of the restaurant. No. We aren’t dating the establishment. But was the service and food and drink good? Yes. Is it the best Italian I have had in St Louis? No. But is gorgeous location. And fun to try. Desserts need a makeover. Tried two so far and meh.
10/10 experience from the valet to the service to the food. Our server was Juan Pablo. He was able to explain everything on the menu to us in great detail and all staff was extremely attentive. The atmosphere is gorgeous. We started with the beef carpaccio, then shared the Nduja Sausage and Sopresatta pizza as well as the black truffle pizza - both excellent. We also had the macaroni gratin which had a thick bechamel and ham baked to perfection. I had the short rib lasagna as my main. It was divine. Super thin, fresh noodles, sausage was not sweet or chunky. The ricotta blended perfectly. For dessert, we had the pastiera pie and the tiramisu. I got the two mocktails on the menu and both were great but the 48-hour steeped black tea with sage, ginger and lavender was a real game changer. We will definitely be back.
Zenón took care of us like we were family. Such a perfect graduation celebration for my daughter.
Great experience. Beautiful restaurant.
