   I’ve loved Cantinetta for years. This time it was… ok, not amazing just ok. Maybe an isolated day, but … I was not thrilled. Hopefully we’ll have it back to how it was before.

   Service was inattentive for what the meal ended up costing. Location and ambience is lovely and the food was delicious, but we were left wanting for more frequent check-ins by the person assigned to our table. And just generally warmer conversation, even if just rudimentary shallow small talk. Kind of felt like they didn't want to try.

    The restaurant is very charming & romantic located in an old store front. Love the original flooring. I ordered the Pappardelle alla Bolognese which I have had at the Bellevue location several times. It was very disappointing. Large chunks of meat with very little sauce. Not a Bolognese at all. I will come back again but will NOT order the Bolognese. House wine & tiramisu was awesome. The chandeliers were filthy. Covered in dust & cobweb. Make one wonder how clean the rest of the restaurant is.

    We had a wonderful meal. The atmosphere is so cozy and the food is consistently delicious. My mom was in town visiting and it was my son’s birthday. It was a lovely evening.

    Great food and great service. Very cozy environment , but on a Friday night, it was very loud. If you like an energetic, lively restaurant, this one is great. For a quiet, romantic dinner, maybe pick a night other than Friday or Saturday or dine later in the evening.

    Great food. Great service. A bit noisy but kinda used to that at many Seattle restaurants. Clams were a little salty but cooked perfectly. My wife's gorgonzola torta salad was delicious. Both entrees were delicious: the tagliatelle with pepper and a raw egg yolk was delightful as was the paperdelle and oxtail.

    Service was great. Ambiance was nice. Food my girlfriend for her 50th birthday wanted to go there so I made reservations I let them know it was her 50th birthday and if we could be at a more intimate table. They placed us next to a family with restless kid next to the front door. The steak we ordered was fatty. The Butternut Squash Ravioli only had 8 pieces? For the amount we spent it was not worth it. No one even acknowledged it was her birthday even after writing it on Reservations notes and talking with the host the day of.

    Bartender was horrible - did everything possible to avoid servicing us while we waited over 45 min for our reserved table. I’m a regular at both Cantinetta and Como and it’s the worst experience I’ve ever had.

    My Wife and I have been long time visitors of Cantinetta (all locations). We especially have always loved the Wallingford Cantinetta location as it is quite unique. However, the service here has progressively gone downhill over the past 6 months. It takes absolutely ages to find street parking in the area most weekend evenings, but if you are 5-10 minutes late - expect the hostesses to have likely given away your table (even though the restaurant is typically half empty when we come in). We've had this happen twice now - the first time, after sitting idly by for 5-10 mins, we were given our still empty table back and told we MUST be out within an hour. The restaurant never got more than half-full during our visit and after rushing through our meal we were told we no longer have to rush and to please go ahead and get a dessert and another drink... This in addition to menu changes in the wrong direction they have made such as the removal of the carbonara, removes Cantinetta from my recommendations list given to any of my many Microsoft/Amazon companions who travel up to Seattle for a visit.

    Excellent spot, great atmosphere, superb service. Katie was exceptional, as were the rest of the team that served us. The food was excellent, and the drinks were plentiful. Cannot wait to return.

    This place is so great, I returned and brought my mother, daughter and girlfriend. The food is truly luscious and memorable. The place is a little loud, lots of hard surfaces and not much sound dampening but I will be returning many times so long as the food quality stays top notch!

    The food was so boring and desperate. Felt like someone’s first day making the jump from an Applebees kitchen to an Olive Garden. Maybe a background in industrial kitchens, like a middle school or something. Rough stuff. Comfy bench and friendly service though.

    When the restaurant is full, the noise level can be loud. Aside from that, the food is delicious, fresh pasta and fresh sauces. I've tried dishes I would have never known about had it not been for this restaurant. The menu changes often. Usually a couple of staples that are always on. But I urge you to get out of your comfort zone and try something you've never had before.

    Great date spot. Some of the tables are really close together but once your food starts coming I promise you won't even care. Expect a more boisterous atmosphere but in a good way. Great food Great service 10/10

    Visiting from Canada and had a wonderful night out with my wife and 10 y.o. daughter. We loved the atmosphere and though the menu is limited the food was awesome. The wait staff were present when they needed to -- we prefer not to have wait staff fawning over us. Obviously this is favored place amongst locals -- you could tell others were there as groups of friends or even on third dates, etc. The pork bellies delighted, the pasta was perfectly portioned (in Canada we prefer not to gorge ) and the wine and desert were all on key. Would come back in an instant. Four stars from us northerners -- would be five stars but I reserve that for once in a lifetime meals.

    Great service and ambiance. Arancini balls were great, steak was blood rare when we asked for medium rare and pasta was undercooked - crunchy, not al dente.

    New Year’s Eve was crowded yet they did a wonderful job. We had a 30-minute wait for our table but they made sure we were comfortable at the bar. The bartender was amazing-fast and thorough. And the food- yum! They brought us Prosecco at midnight and we all went outside to watch fireworks. A memorable evening.

    If you feel like going out and having an expensive fancy dinner this is a great place... But I only go here when I receive gift cards, can't afford it otherwise. Also, the two times I've been there the tables have been rickety. However, wine is amazing, food is decadent, and is a nice intimate setting.

    The pasta was waaay undercooked, the aranccini both overcooked on the outside and undercooked on the inside and overall the food was disappointing. Service was amazing and thoughtful and the ambiance was nice so it is a shame about the meal itself.
