    This November guest chef @caitlinruthfood will join Camus Farm Field Kitchen to serve a beautiful late autumn menu. Formerly head chef of Deasy’s restaurant near Clonakilty, Caitlin hails from Dublin, New Hampshire, USA, and has called Ireland her home since 1992. Listed in McKenna’s 100 Best, she now has a food truck, Caitlin Ruth Food, that serves a menu driven by seasonal food from West Cork’s local growers and producers. Note we can accommodate vegetarians and people who avoid gluten* if you let us know when booking, but due to the nature of this event any other dietary requests are politely declined. * (kitchen is NOT gluten free) Note that the Field Kitchen is an accessible building with accessible tables and washrooms.

Starting with a very scenic location, the experience at the Field Kitchen is just incredible. Go hungry as you will not be disappointed with any one of the 5 courses. Fresh, tasty, local produce with an explanation of each dish beforehand.
Absolutely delicious! ♡

Definitely an experience we'd like to repeat. Warm and friendly service and exceptionally delicious food - I honestly wanted to lick the plate!

Excellent, well prepared, locally sourced food. Friendly staff. Layout is a bit unusual, which l liked. Kitchen is part of the main room, so you can see what's going on. Not cheap, but €50 for five courses is good value for money. Will definitely come again. Signposting to the restaurant wasn't great though, would be hard to find in the dark!

Attentive and pleasant waitstaff but absurdly slow kitchen: we booked for the first seating and were not served food until an hour after being seated. That would have been tolerable if the food was decent but it was shockingly poor quality, both in concept and execution. A shame, as the concept of a farm restaurant is a good one, especially in the culinary paradise of West Cork. Even the non-alcoholic drinks were badly curated (we did not drink any alcohol, so can’t speak to the wine or drinks list).

Beautiful setting we did have a very sunny evening there so the cold didn't bother us at all. The food was outstanding bursting with flavor. All the plates were sent back empty. 🙂😋
