   This was one of the weirdest dining experiences I’ve had in a while. To start with the positives. The server was super friendly and kept our beverages full. We ordered an app of firecracker shrimp this was where it started to go off the rails. I’ve never experienced an unbattered yet deep fried shrimp. It was disturbingly crunchy yet chewy. Then it was slathered in the sweet chili sauce as if to try to hide the shrimp. The burgers. If you’re going to ask how we want our burger done, you should try to hit the temperature requested. My burger was so over done and dry I had to chase it down with my beverage. It was not an experience I’m looking to repeat and I’m not convinced it was worth the price paid.

   We showed up at 1:00 for our 1pm reservation to an incredibly rude/unprofessional host who wouldn’t make eye contact with us and just kept saying “we closed at 1”. Didn’t even try to look into what happened, how we were able to book a reservation at a time when they’re closed, or even apologize for that matter. Just kept wiping their computer screen and repeating “I dunno, we closed at 1”. So I’m not sure if this was an open table issue or what with our reservation, but we did not end up eating here (despite getting confirmation the day prior of our 1pm reservation) and had to eat somewhere else. Burger Theory also needs to train their employees on customer service etiquette because I’ve never experienced a host/hostess like this one. Simply the worst. We will never be back.

   Burger Theory is a hidden gem. Our burgers were delicious . We made a reservation for Saturday evening but there were only a few people dining when we were there . It was nice to find a place with good food and not a long wait on a Saturday evening . Service was good but slow. Would definitely recommend and go again.

   Service by Carlos was a highlight. Cocktails were excellent. Burgers were standard fare.

   Our server was very nice and very responsive. We really liked it and will be back. I thought my burger was going to be medium and it was pretty raw. The sever asked to bring it back , but we had a show we had to catch. I still like the burger and my wife liked hers. The fries and onion rings were delicious as well.

   I went to Burger Theory with a party of friends and family before going to a show at DeVos. I made reservations through OpenTable, but when we arrived there was hardly anyone there anyway so reservations weren’t really needed ( relatively early on a Friday). Our server was excellent, very attentive and friendly. All of the food was delicious and well prepared, except the dessert. Or I guess I should say except one dessert. The Keylime pie in a jar was very disappointing, not the usual tang that you’d expect from a Keylime pie and instead of making an actual graham cracker crust, the bottom of the jar was just filled with powdered graham cracker. Even so, I would go there again.

   I was quite disappointed to find out that only breakfast was served until noon. I also found it odd that there was no 'breakfast burger' at a place called burger theory. However, my disappointment was quickly turned around by the EXCELLENT breakfast sliders. They were better than they had any right to be.
