   The restaurant is nice. Our server seemed to have too many tables and forgot about us. The apps were amazing! My husbands ribeye was wonderful, my filet was cooked perfectly but had too much char on it , so all I tasted was burnt filet. Sides and dessert was wonderful as well. I don’t think it was worth the money and hype in my opinion.

   We celebrated our twins 11th birthday yesterday and they asked for Bowdies since they have only eaten our leftovers and loved them so much that they asked to go to the restaurant. Josh our server was a rock star and so cool and attenuative to all of our special requests. He also offered the twins their own deserts that came with lit candles. All the staff were so kind to us. The food was amazing and even had a little left over to bring home. Thank you for making our twins bday a memorable one!

   Bowdies is our go to when we want top notch everything! As usual, it did not disappoint! Manny our waiter was attentive, made great drink recommendations, and was extremely personable. The food was outstanding!! Our rare filet was perfectly rare with a cool center and amazingly seasoned. We didn’t get our usual lobster Mac and cheese because we indulged in shrimp cocktail, burrata, beef tartare, scallops, Caesar salad, filet mignon, carrot cake, and crème brûlée. Wish I had the lobster Mac and cheese for breakfast this morning though! Every time we stop at Bowdies we leave completely satisfied!

    I had the bone-in filet and it was one of the best steaks I've ever had. My only complaint would be that for $72 for the steak, it came with no sides. Nice place, great service, and great food... But very pricey.

    I had to really push to get a table in the front section of the restaurant. I stressed that we were celebrating my wife’s 50th birthday. I was called and told they had a table and when we arrived we were seated at the table closest to the door. It was uncomfortably cold. My wife never took off her coat. What made it worse was that I was made to feel that this was the only table available for our party of 5. Throughout dinner we could see other tables that were never filled that would have been much better. We also had to send my wife’s soup back because it was not hot. My son’s filet was not on our order and did not arrive to our table until the rest of our party had almost finished their meals. It was a very frustrating experience.

    This is not a inexpensive night out. We had reservations and were seated on time. Ordered drinks and starters which took about 10 minutest to get. It looked to be moderately busy. The starters were delicious; some of the best shrimp cocktails I've ever had. Ordered Cowboy ribeye's, mushrooms, bone marrow and potatoes. Took about 25 -30 minutes to get. Ribeye's cooked to perfection. Mushrooms very very good. Bone Marrow, not my thing. Potatoes were over cooked and would not order again. We did not try the wines. I take my sons to a good steak dinner 3 times a year. This time we tried Bowdies and would come again.

    This was a makeup for Valentine’s because I was out of town. We love it there and the staff is always great. The food was good, although my steak was slightly over cooked. The worst part was the drunk, obnoxious group next to us. This group of five men was vulgar and loud enough for us to hear, even making gay jokes which didn’t thrill my partner and I. They spilled their seafood tower all over the floor with a lot of the ice going near us and our table. We chose not to get desserts or after dinner drinks because of this group We would hope that next time a group like that would be asked to tone themselves down or that we could be relocated.

    Excellent overall experience! We dined on Valentine's Day and received outstanding customer service from Liz, who was well versed on the menu, attentive and even extended a complimentary dessert for an upcoming birthday on the following day. Appetizers included shrimp cocktail (sauce combination was delicious), scallops (great but will forego on next visit) and crab cake which was the star. Filet was grilled to perfection and accompanied by truffle fries and lobster mac & cheese, which was extracted tableside and everything you could possibly hope for! The portion was more than enough to share and featured a decadent, silky cheese sauce that was incredibly flavorful without being too heavy. I was pleasantly surprised by the wide array of desserts to choose from, which are not detailed on the online menu that was researched in advance. Highly recommend the carrot cake, which is generously sized, and the peanut butter brownie a la mode. Without a doubt, strongly recommend based on the quality of food, service and overall attention to detail - next time will request the main dining area or even opt for a more casual experience at the bar (well equipped with tv's that seamlessly blend into the background). This is one of the finest choices in Grand Rapids and we are excited to try it again soon!

    Very loud and not the ambiance of a high end steak house. Food and service were good, but not worth the extra money. They also reserve every barstool so when we arrived early we had no where to wait. We went across the street to a cantina for appetizers and should have just eaten there.

    Bowdies is absolutely delicious!! My steak came out exactly how I asked (med rare / charred) and honestly the best steak I’ve ever had. My wife loved the fish feature and the service was A+.
