Second visit here and it did not disappoint. The people i were with had not been before and loved it.
Fabulous food (the white chocolate cheesecake is to die for), £5 cocktails and attentive friendly service. Well worth it!
The beef was tough and difficult to chew. On the other hand, the Yorkshire pudding, potatoes, gravy, and green beans were all excellent. After expressing our disappointment with a manager, he kindly comped us for the meal and invited us to come back. Very good customer service after a disappointing meal.
Second time dining here. Really great food at reasonable price given the quality. It’s quite compact so would definitely book a table before heading here. Quite noisy at dinner time, had to raise voices to talk amongst our table.
Consistently and reliably good. We went all in and the meat and sides were both superb. Service is friendly and attentive without being intrusive.
The staff were very attentive and catered to our every wish. The food was great value for value and was really tasty. My only complaint was that some of the vegetables were a little bit too charred, so tasted burnt. Overall great restaurant, would recommend.
Second visit. Food really good. Service brilliant. Would thoroughly recommend a visit
Guys brilliant food and excellent service. Can't fault. Just one question. I like the rating perception. Basically it must be a thing that you have to shout at the top of your voice to be heard... Hey Ho
Wonderful as ever - always a fantastic experience at Blacklock. Superb food & drink, charming staff and the bonus of a great music playlist.
Blacklock was absolutely amazing - right from the start the staff made sure to make us feel welcome and at home. They explained the menu and each dish to us. We got the all in and it was the best choice we ever made, best pre-chop bites and a hefty plate of meat. Save some stomach for dessert! The white chocolate cheesecake was a nice way to end the meal!
Was out with older folks, and they found the place really loud to the point they couldn’t get a conversation going without shouting.
Meat quality was good, but we felt it was over-seasoned with salt. I like a little char on my meat but the prime rib has too much of it.
Sides were all good, but sweet potato (though tasty) was rather salty.
Had a fantastic server (blue hair...from New Zealand) that was super knowledgeable and responsive. Drinks were great (try the Old Fashioned). Wine list was a little disappointing. Meats were all above average.
Ssssssshhhh don’t tell anyone.. Blacklock is the best Sunday roast in London. The Legends of Lamb, the Princes of Pork, the Barons of Beef and the Governors of Gravy. Thank you once again Matt and the team at Blacklock, looking forward to our next Sunday lunch already!
Great cocktails and we had the Sunday roast which was excellent! All of the staff was super friendly and worked together. We did not feel rushed at all even though the restaurant was busy.
I’d eat here every Sunday if I could. 🥰🥰
I can’t tell you how happy me and my boy was on our Father’s Day visit.
Food was outstanding as so was the service.
I have a new favourite restaurant now.
Keep up the amazing food and service.
See you very soon.
Amazing meal and the staff was so courteous and nice!
Beautifully flavoured Sunday roast - with the best gravy!
Really good waitor who served us tbroughout the afternoon
Superb food in a buzzing place, served by great staff, and very good value. Highly recommended. Had an early evening booking on a Saturday so wasn't sure what to expect but it was great. Had the "all in" option - great value and very tasty. Staff were fantastic.
Took my parents there on a Saturday night.
We went "all in" for the 4 of us. What great value for money.
Starters were tasty without being too heavy, as room was needed for the mains
A big pile of chops then arrived - they were delicious. The Beef Dripping chips were the best chips I'd ever tasted - I didn't know chips could be this good.
Then we topped it off with the Cheese Cake.
A filling and outstandingly tasty/quality meal with superb service. I'll definitely be going again and telling everyone I know to visit
If you like meat, this place is for you. Great food, service and atmosphere, (we went to the Soho restaurant early Saturday evening), and would definitely go again. Not the place to go if you want a quiet meal as quite vibrant and noisy. The staff were really friendly and helpful. Reasonable price too.
As always fantastic. Will be back again soon. Tomohawk chop (perfectly cooked) and lamb off the bone were absolutely delicious. Such amazing value for money.
Great food, great ambiance, attentive staff.
Overall, would and have recommended to friends and family.
Will definitely visit again!!
We loved the food! Especially the cheesecake desert!
Fun atmosphere, fabulous as always, cocktails for a fiver and the loveliest service. Ask for the off-menu Blacklist burger or go all in - brilliant value. The Pre-Chop Bites are extraordinarily good btw - pigs head and kimchi are a new favourite, although egg and anchovy will always be my first love.
First time visit, absolutely brilliant. We had the all in one platter shared between 4 and the portion sizes was perfectly prepared as was just enough. Waters were constantly topped up by staff. The waiter also overheard it was my birthday and organised a lovely dessert to the table which was really kind. Can’t wait to come back here with more people!
I like to bring my clients here - it never fails to impress
Thanks to all the friendly
Been here a few times and quality is always excellent. Staff are great and very accommodating. If you like meat, with a side order of meat with a meat garnish this place is for you! P.s. they do veg... if that's your thing.
Wonderful food and great service. The music was a bit loud but otherwise, a wonderful place
Great food and atmosphere! Very friendly staff!
I must say it was not as good as previous visits but still up there with one of the best roast dinners in London
Superb Sunday Lunch again, we cannot find anything negative. Just the best roast around
We were here from my boyfriends birthday, the food was delicious and the host was very warm and inviting. However we had to wait over an hour between the starter and main. Everyone around us got served before even though we were there way before them. We didn’t even get an apology that we got forgotten about. It’s a shame because if that didn’t happen it would have been a raving review
Good Sunday roast, great service and lovely atmosphere. Didn't feel rushed, unlike other restaurants
Excellent lunch. The meat is really good
We visited on a busy Friday lunchtime and we did end up waiting longer than expected for our food, but the staff were lovely and kept apologising for the delay. They even brought us some extra side dishes free of charge for our inconvenience. The side dishes were really tasty and a great addition to the mains, which are always great and cooked to perfection.
Service was incredible, Food amazing- Couldn't rave about this enough!
Great place for meat lovers, amazing choices and pure deliciousness.
Staff is very helpful and deliver great service.
You can definitely see why this has been voted the best in London
Highly recommend going all - in... 3 meats to share between 2. Delicious! Best gravy ever.
Shame the dessert menu isn't more interesting but you go for the roast
Good, not the best Sunday roast (lamb was a bit under for our taste and would also love to see chicken as well on the roast menu). Brilliant service, very well done to the service crew.
I had been wanting to visit Blacklock after stumbling across it on Instagram. It did not disappoint.
We booked for Sunday lunch, which was incredible. I have struggled to find a Sunday roast which rivals a home cooked roast, however this genuinely was the best roast I have had outside of the home.
We had the All in, beef, lamb and pork, with the trimmings and cauliflower cheese.
The pork was genuinely the best roast port I have ever eaten. It was only let down by no crackling.
The beef was fantastic, as was the lamb. The roast spuds and yorkshire puddings are usually the difference between a home cooked roast and a restaurant/pub roast. The spuds and yorkie puds at blacklock were incredible. They were perfect. It got better with copious amounts of gravy as well.
We will be back on a weekday to tryout the other menu!!!!
