The food was delicious and the service was outstanding. Lovely atmosphere and decor provided for a great experience!!
The food, the service, and the ambiance were amazing! Mr. Walter, as well as the rest of the staff were so pleasant and accommodating and their recommendations were perfect. We had a great experience here!
Good. The people were very friendly. The food very nice.
One of our favorite restaurants of any in the world. The atmosphere, service, food quality, imaginative menu, and thoughtfully prepared seasonal variety are second to none. Such a delight to have Sergio greet us at the door every night, and the stellar, exceptionally knowledgeable and personable staff makes us feel like home each and every time. You’ll appreciate the small touches and attention to detail to each course. Something for everyone’s palate on the menu, Venice can be a seafood lover’s paradise but a steak person’s compromise, but the filet is succulent and can be cut with a butter knife. A must in Venice!
Bistrot de Venise is lovely and formal. The meal was elegantly served and delicious. The restaurant very carefully took my severe nut allergy into account.
Food was well prepared and aesthetically pleasing. Our service to slow to start, but I think it stemmed from a miscommunication rather than slow waitstaff. Waitstaff was accommodating and pleasant to interact with. Overall, we had a great time and would readily recommend this restaurant.
A bit over the top with their brand and merchandise. Took 25 minutes to get the check. A shame because the food was lovely.
This is an excellent restaurant. Unfortunately we had a loud, pushy waiter who turned frosty and shut us out after we made it politely clear that we did not want many offered extras. It negatively impacted the tone of an otherwise superb meal. The oysters were fresh and salty, the vegetable soup was delicious and the fried zucchini flowers are the best we have ever eaten. The entrees were outstanding and we particularly recommend the steak. Desserts are great and there is an excellent, thoughtful wine list.
Met friends at the Bistrot and it did not disappoint. A combination of traditional Italian and Venetian dishes were all superb. I highly recommend this establishment.
It was truly a wonderful meal. I have a waiter, Walter, was absolutely superb. Damn Beyoncé is great, the food is great, this is a five-star restaurant.
Our server was a MASTER SOMELIER - enough said
The service was impeccable and the wine list amazing, trying from the unique red list I found a favorite wine. When we get back to Italy this will be where we dine the first night in Venice.
Nice experience
As requested, we were seated outside in a quiet area . The service, food, and wine were excellent. Loved the fried Zucchini flowers! And the interesting menu. Their house olive oil is amazing. Had to take some home. Can’t thank our waiter, sommelier, and maitre d’ enough for their attention and an overall wonderful experience. Highly recommend Bistrot de Venise. We can’t wait to return to Venice and go back.
Loved it here...we went twice over a 4 day period, a wonderful place to eat and enjoy Venice. Everybody very friendly and food is excellent.
Will definitely go again when next in Venice and would happily recommend.
Great Ambiance
Fantastic food! It’s not just one more Italian restaurant, they have different options of plates, with the right presentation e tastes as you never saw! Totally recommended!
This our wedding anniversary and we had excellent attentive service
Last night in Venice
First meal in Venice, great night!
Amazing! Wish we could go again!
Authentic and delicious Venetian dinner! Wonderful experience and service! Thank you!
Everything was delicious especially the lasagna. Unique combination of flavors. Will definitely go back the next time we are in Venice. If we had stayed another night I would have been back.
Very romantic, beautiful decor, great service staff. The food was really delicious. Smoked eel was to die for! Right in the middle of all the action, location wise. Would definitely go back.
Absolutely incredible experience. Amazing food.. service.. wine
My wife and I celebrated our 33rd anniversary at this fine restaurant as we were on a tour of Italy at the time and Venice is on her bucket list. We dined outside and the evening was perfect. Our waiter was attentive and the food ranged from good to very good, but it was mostly the atmosphere that was enchanting. Highly recommended for a romantic dinner.
My husband and I dined here on our last night in Venice while on our honeymoon. Walter made our experience very enjoyable! He accommodated all of our requests and made appropriate suggestions. He is truly the best! We loved the food, the wine that he recommended, and the top notch service. Can’t wait til we’re back in Venice again! Thank you!
Special meal for special anniversary. I booked thru Open Table but my hotel concierge called and asked for a romantic table. Service was attentive and friendly. Ambiance was romantic - corner table in a small room with tasteful paintings of food complementing the wall sconces and elegant décor, and quiet classical music in the background.
The menu is inventive, including some centuries old recipes.
We had the 4 course tasting menu which turned out to be 6 courses since it included and amuse-bouche to start and truffle chocs with coffee. We both opted for scallops to start - delicious. A pasta dish of homemade ravioli was followed by duck breast. For dessert we separated. I had a deconstructed tiramisu which was very good, but I wish I'd had the orange crème brulee my wife chose =, as it was to die for.
All the food was was delicious, perfectly cooked and served with a flair, including a detailed description of everything on the plate. Perfectly paced, too. The cost was 74 euro each not including drinks, We don't drink alcohol (although the wine list included bottles in all price ranges) and our total cost, including drinks and service, was just less than 200euro.
Definitely worth it for a splurge meal. They even included a rose for my wife!
Bistrot de Venice was absolutely lovely and picturesque. The restaurant is located in the heart of Venice and the staff is nothing short of extraordinary - kind, caring, funny and extremely polite. The quality and taste of the food were extremely great as well!
Super delicious
Super moment !!
Très bon service mais nourriture moyenne
We have a very romantic and beautiful dinner... welcoming the New Year. Memorable place with fantastic service and exquisite food.... perfect!
We enjoyed a nice meal in lovely surroundings but this was dramatically overshadowed by the fact that after we had paid a few hundred euros for the meal along with a lovely bottle of red we had the majority of our water left so we thought we would take it with us as our hotel was only around the corner... harmless you would think... but no, the waiter held my arm as I walked out and said "have you paid for that bottle" I of course said yes I had, but then he proceeded to tell me that I would need to pay an additional 40 euros if I wanted to take the bottle with me... bizarre, embarrassing and rude...
Outstanding food and wine (huge wine list), very helpful and knowledgeable staff. Tiramisu was amazing as a theatrical finish ! Quiet backstreet and great atmosphere. Expensive, and a special place to go for a treat.
Bistrot de Venise is tucked away on a quiet alley in the heart of Venice near Saint Mark’s Square. We arrived for our 20:00 reservation and were promptly seated by the kind hostess at a table outside. From that point on the Service was severely lacking, so much so that the two tables immediately next to us left after waiting close to 30 minutes to just be seen by the wait staff. When we first received our menus, it did not include a wine list which we had to ask for after waiting for several minutes. After receiving the wine list it took approximately 20 minutes for our drink orders to be taken at which time we felt we should also order or entree’s as to not wait an additional 20 minutes for the waiter to reappear. I will say that the food itself was excellent and came in wonderful preparation. My Wife and I split the Chef’s Recommendation for appetizers which included fried zucchini flowers, a beautifully prepared calamari, beef carpaccio and delectable prawns fried in a light batter. For the entree, my wife had the linguini with scampi while I had the pigeon breast which was very good. All in all for the price of this restaurant the service should be far more attentive and I expect a lot more from a Michelin started restaurant. While the food was great, that doesn’t make up for the lack of proper service in my opinion.
Fantastic restaurant in Venice. Both outside and indoor seating. Excellent staff and service. The tasting menus are worth trying. modern variations on traditional Venetian dishes. Would highly recommend.
After asking to be moved front room which was cooler than the stuffy middle room and less noisy, we were very well looked after. Good meal and splendid wine list. Staff were charming and efficient.
Great great experience
Outstanding service. Wonderful food. It is a very romantic restaurant.
