Best Italian in Sedona!
Bella Vita was outstanding! The service was so friendly and knowledgeable! We had an eggplant appetizer that was tender and delicious. Their marinara sauce is some of the best that I have ever had. We had a rigatoni with sausage entree that has that delicious marinara sauce. The plate was artfully garnished and the food tasted as good as it looked. We also had the special of the day which was a lamb shank with fresh vegetables. Simply delicious is how I would describe it. Then came dessert. I have had a lot of tiramisu in my life. The tiramisu at Bella Vita was hands down the most delicious and beautifully presented tiramisu that I’ve ever had. Bravo!
We had a lovely dinner. Mario was our waiter and saw to all of our needs. Would definitely go back again.
Wonderful food and friendly staff. The eggplant appetizer was awesome!
We frequent this dining place whenever we come to Sedona which is 5-6 times a year, coming usually twice per visit. We have never had a bad meal or poor service. We have nothing negative to say in fact. We love the food, ambiance and service. They are continuing to make improvements inside and out on the patio. Our servers have always been top notch. Brett at our most recent visit was no exception. They have a new server who is a sweet delight. They have good early bird specials and happy hour specials. Ambience we love.
Our server was delightful. The hostess was incompetent. The food was poor with the exception of the pumpkin pie. The flaming sugar cube was odd.
Thanksgiving dinner. Had an excellent experience and the staff was fantastic.
Was there for Thanksgiving—severely overpriced ($35 for a vegetable pasta and no protein).
The Thanksgiving Dinner menu was really great with great options. We had a very good time
Went for thanksgiving dinner. Was unsure because they have quite a few recent negative reviews, but everything went well for us. We were seated indoors at our reservation time. Service was excellent and food was delicious. Would definitely recommend.
Over crowded. Hostess would not check me in even though I told her we had a reservation. She said they were crowded and only taking people as tables opened up! Disorganized and loud.
Disappointing. Three of us went, none of the dishes were great. Service was good though. It was too crowded and noisy. Won’t go back.
We had a reservation and were seated promptly, but the staff seemed out of sync. Our server did a great job, but for the price we were a bit disappointed. Food was meh…pretty sure the owner stopped at our table and when I shared my thoughts he seemed indifferent…guess that’s what you get when you visit a restaurant in a bustling small town with too many visitors.
As always, we had a great meal. Marco was a terrific waiter.
Average fare at best. The tables all have overstuffed chairs which are nice for atmosphere but really crowd the space. They have daily specials which are incredibly low price
Once the overwhelmed hostess was assisted by an owner we were finally seated 15 min after our reservation time. The table service, although delayed, was excellent! Our food was all good with the exception of the lasagna that seemed to have been dressed with a Bolognese sauce which had burned at some point, yet served anyway. The waiter cheerfully replaced the lasagna with a new dish, so we ultimately were all happy. Because it was my birthday the server also complimented a delicious creme brule with a song!! Overall despite the odd moments, it was a lovely evening with good food and drink.
Our family is in town for the Thanksgiving holiday, and we were recommended Bella Vita. What a treat this was. Our server, busboy, and hostess were all hard workers. The meal was great, especially the lasagna.
A zero star experience. The restaurant was continuing to take walk ins while reservations were full and not being seated. We were seated and subsequently waited for more than 30 minutes with no service. We decided to leave when it was clear the other tables nearby had been waiting for an extended period of time and only had been served drinks. The outside was not cleared from prior diners, umbrellas and chairs were broken, and more and more people were arriving without being served.
Staff was lovely; food not so much. After reading reviews we thought this was the place in town to dine; not so much. My carbonara was heavy, oily, and in much need of taste. Having enjoyed carbonara throughout Europe I was thoroughly disappointed in the meal and the fact that I had to add an unusual amount of ground pepper and salt to the dish.
The restaurant was busy and our waitress told us that the help turnover was crazy, like 75 new people in the last year. But that should not affect the kitchen output; turnover is now our new fact of life, inadequate recipes are not.
Had a reservation for our anniversary dinner inside the restaurant, when we got there we were told a larger party came so our reservation was cancelled and we would have to sit outside when it was 55 degrees. They did provide us with patio heaters but two of the three were out within 10 minutes. The food was alright but not worth $30+/plate whatsoever.
Donna our server was spectacular. Food was great. Lasagna and osso buca ordered. Generous serving size. Busy night, but staff kept the pace.
The service here was really good. The food was delicious. I got a veal shank and it just melted in your mouth. The drinks were also really good and strong. The place a little off the beaten path outside of Sedona proper, but worth the trek.
Great meal, waiter Marco was very nice. The hostess was somewhat rude.
Reservation was honored immediately. Marco was the severer and he was attentive and informative. We all had different veal dishes. All were good. We hoped the veal to be more tender, though perhaps the sharp knife provided with the meal was a statement on our expectations. After the group of twelve left the noise level did drop down. All three shared a cannoli for dessert and it was fresh and very good
We had a wonderful time and the food was fantastic. Highly recommend.
For those new to the restaurant and arriving at dusk, better signage to the restaurant and the front door would be very helpful
Amazing server, be back soon
Food was not very good. This has become a trend in Arizona. Overpriced fake Italian
We eat indoors and it was very enjoyable.
Birthday . Food was exquisite! Lovely restaurant and our waiter was on point
Great food and service. Wonderful outdoor patio. Entertainment on the weekends.
A hidden gem. We.loved the food and the service was excellent
Food was very good and the service was impeccable
Nice setting and large menu and wine selection. Very good food. Nice staff.
Experience was average - food and service. Staff needs a bit more polish
This is a very ”old school” feeling Italian restaurant so we had high hopes that it would be good, but it was underwhelming. The food was OK but it wasn’t very hot and we both thought it was overpriced for the quality. $36 for chicken parmigiana seems excessive and wasn’t all that good.
The location is far away from Sedona city center. Food was good, but the price is on the higher side.
We had made reservations for 6 and our only seating options were outside or in a room with a private party where it was noisy! How does this happen when we made reservations but the music was good outdoors doors
Terrible!! The food was awful and wayyyyy overpriced. My lasagna had about a jar of sauce on it and they slapped a melted Kraft singles on top of it. $34 lasagna. I had a cheaper dinner at Mariposa. The service was extremely slow. Very chintzy and cheap decor. Shockingly bad.
Food came out pretty slowly. Salmon was dry but passable would come here again but not my first choice in town
