The new Bakarò restaurant in Venice offers a menu dedicated to traditional specialities
local, a taste trip through typical dishes, from finger food to desserts,
recipes of the past, but proposed with a new presentation, fresh and appealing.
Located in Campo Santa Margherita (in the Dorsoduro district) Bakarò wants to be a safe port
for those who want a lunch or a dinner full of good traditional cuisine. Do not give up
but to the novelty, proposing to those looking for something different craft burgers of high quality
entirely homemade, from bread, to ground, to delicious sauces.The Bakarò also awaits you for a drink with friends, before or after dinner, with unmissable cocktails

Excellent experience at Bakaro; the servers were not only funny but efficient and did a great job. Vlad, I believe, was one name and the other I cannot remember, but they were both from Moldova. Excellent sense of humor. The location of the restaurant in the piazza was awesome; the food was equally on par. We had tuna tartare, pasta carbonara, mussels, burrata and the traditional octopus with black ink sauce. Definitely, a place I would go back to. Make sure, however, that if you are on San Marco side, you will need to cross the Rialto bridge to get to Bakaro. Otherwise you would have to spend EU 10 to cross the canal using public transportation. Other than that the walk from Rialto to Bakaro is fun; lots of stores; off the beaten track, sort of.

The level of food and hospitality was top notch. We reallly experienced the joys of a restaurant as a group of 5 with a baby sitting around a table coming together as a family. The tuna tartare was spectacular( could do with the mint garnish in my humble opinion) The carbonara was the best I’ve had in years and we were made feel welcome and warm. No surprise there was a queue of people waiting to be sat.

The food and service was wonderful. My partner had the sea bass, I had the lasagna. The crema catalana I had for dessert was to die for. The only marring of the experience was a very loud table of young women which the waitstaff did try to quiet down.

Wir waren zum Valentinstag dort. Leider eine böse Überraschung.. Das Getränk, welches wir bestellten, wurde lange nach dem Bestellen als doch nicht mehr vorhanden benannt. Man servierte uns Carpaccio, welches nicht mehr ganz so frisch war und demnach nicht zu genießen war. Danach wurden Getränke serviert, welches nicht unsere Waren. Wir dachten als Wiedergutmachung für das Malheur zuvor.. Die Getränke wurde uns somit wieder weggenommen und letzten Endes wurden die von meinem Mann bestellten Blumen, welche sich auf dem Tisch befinden sollten, an diesem Tag komplett ignoriert.. schade

Although a bit pricey, spacious & friendly with a stylish minimalist decor - once a bakery. Bigoli well-cooked with a generous onion/anchovy sauce - perhaps less onion & more anchovy needed. Delicious cheesecake & chocolate flan - worth the wait.

Google Traduttore The restaurant was filling quickly with patrons and we came with reservation. All menus were being used so they provided us with a drink menu, water, and bread. With in minutes we where given menus. The service was great, the food was delicious, and there was minimal wait for our food. Highly recommend!!!

We found the place in the best neighbourhood of Venice to have fun. The restaurant is a beautiful old bakery, and the atmosphere is perfect for a dinner. We had our best pumpkin risotto ever and for me the cuttlefishes in ink were delicious and fthe whole asided with a good. The service was great, smiley and attentive. A thumb up to the waiter for the wine and cocktails recommendations. At last but not least, their flexibility for vegan and gluten free pasta option was really appreciated by my friend appreciated. I recommend a stop there to spend a nice evening!

5 stars to this restaurant. Every thing is simple but in the same time delicious. You can say there is hard work behind every dish that came out to the table. The ravioli with basil cream and smoked riccota were amaaaaazing.
