High energy and gracious, Avenue Kitchen and Bar is a place where one can enjoy terrific cocktails and comforting, Latin-American inspired cuisine from Executive Chef Audiel Vera and his seasoned and attentive staff. Our food offers flavors & technique that will welcome and excite you.
We have seating available in our large dining room, our bar & lounge, a seasonally-opened outdoor area, and a small private dining space available for intimate dinner parties.
We are conveniently located on 36th Street, commonly known as "the Avenue" in Hampden. Metered parking is available in a full lot in the rear of the restaurant as well as the front and surrounding streets. Entrances are located at both the front and rear and are easily accessible for all.

Poor service.. took forever to take our order. They were rushing us because they had a private event happening, so they wanted us out.. then took 15mins to give us our check. Will not be returning

I gave a one star for the food. The food was good but several items were not available. They did not have chicken tacos, chicken quesadilla, chicken nachos, salmon and chicken wings which is a staple. It was disappointing because I brought my family who was visiting from out of town. It was 10 of us.

Great happy hour! Brisket quesadillas were excellent! Server was very attentive, made good suggestions about drinks to try.

The service was incredibly bad. They didn’t have a lot of dishes or even drinks on the menu. Staff was uncoordinated and we ended up with food, after a long wait, with the silverware. I had to ask twice for linen napkins. The cocktails taste like they were made in food truck that should be driven into the harbor. The server was more determined to pay attention to his friends and sister at near by tables. Outside diners beware, the name says “Kitchen and Bar”, when it should be really called “dumpster fire on the sidewalk where people smoke hookah” I wouldn’t be surprised if I saw them on an episode of Bar Rescue with Jon Taffert.

I loved the food there, the ambiance was fairly good. The music in the restaurant was a bit loud and the server kept bringing us food that wasn’t ours, but overall I loved the experience I went on Mother’s Day ❤️
