   First time there. Server was great and seemed very knowledgeable. Only at end of meal did she reveal we were her first table. Well done, Kelsey.

   Wow, the food here is very unusual and tasty. Lots of pickled and smoked entrees. Went with a group of 6. Were given pickled green beans before we even ordered. We split chicken nuggets (smoked) and brussels sprouts (pickled I think, great sauce) and then entrees- had the special of the night chicken, huge platter! Every one else had the surprise burger, fantastic!!! Will definitely go again. Must say our server was great, good memory, never wrote anything down but remembered it all! Very attentive but not in our face too much. Helps that there is a parking lot near this restaurant, it's in the heart of Harvard Square, no real parking unless you get lucky!

    Everything was delicious! We had to be in and out within an hour (to make a show) and we had time for an app two entrees and two drinks. The restaurant itself was very cozy and modern. Highly recommend!

    Food was delicious .. we had the foccacia, kale salad and steak — all were delicious but the kale salad stands out - even my partner who doesn’t like veggies loved it… will come back

    This place is charging like they’re better than a Michelin star restaurant…they’re not. The service was impeccable - the staff was very attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable. My water glass was never empty. The ambiance was great if you like a more casual vibe, it’s fun and warm and doesn’t try to be pretentious. What bothers me is the blatant omission from their tasting menu that despite charging $110 per person, every single plate is shared. You get a side plate and cutlery that are not replaced between courses. You do not get any kind of serving utensils to divide up the dishes. Good luck with those creamy grits in the middle of the table on your measly fork. Have fun getting chunks of blue cheese from the rabbit course mixed onto your sweet pancake for dessert. They should advertise as a $220 pre fixe for two. For comparison, Stubborn Seed, a Michelin star restaurant in Miami, charged us $175 pp for a 7 course meal with individual plating. That’s about $25 per plate. Alden and Harlow charged $220 for this shared 5-course experience and 10 modest tastes of wine. I look at the receipt - it’s $80 per person for food, $30 per person for wine. So really $32 per plate, $6 per wine taste. $32 for 4 bites of tuna? $32 for burrrata on a crumpet? $32 for 2 bites of pork belly on grits? $32 for a fried rabbit meatloaf? $32 for popcorn and pancakes???? Things were tasty, creative, and plated beautifully. But these are wildly inexpensive ingredients, and they’re appetizer-sized. Come ON. Bonus points for the handwritten “flush hard” sign in the bathroom.

    The service was wonderful last night. It’s one of our favorites in Boston and we were celebrating two events and the staff went over and above to make our night great. The menu is fun with many sharing dishes and all are delicious! Can’t wait for our next visit.

    First time dining there, very impressed. Wasn't sure of the menu though each dish was fresh and delicious! We started with the focaccia bread, yum, brussel sprouts, same thing. The Basil Pasta was amazing, very flavorful. Started with a complimentary side dish of dilled green beans, wasn't expecting much but loved these too. Nice wine list too. I'm not Vegan, no issue with Gluten though many of these type dishes were offered on the menu. Overall, Alden & Harlow exceeded my expectations. I'm looking forward to going back!

    Had a 6 pm dinner on a Monday. Place slowly filled up until we left around 7:30. Service was clear on the menu and attentive. It’s a tapas/small plates menu. Had a mix of veg and protein dishes and all were very good. Food came over time and was neither too early or late. They played awesome music during early dinner. Cocktails were okay and wine by the glass a bit higher in price than the quality in my opinion. Overall a great experience and would definitely recommend and go back again.

    The food was INCREDIBLE oh my goodness. I went with my boyfriend for his birthday and would 100% recommend it to anyone. The pork belly and burrata were particularly amazing. We will definitely be coming again in the future!

    Food was delicious, but everyone’s meal came out at different times which was awkward. Also, service was really slow and the cocktails were not good (none of us finished our cocktails). The ambiance was great though.

    We had specifically asked her server to paste the meal cause we have heard all the food come out at once. They assured us no problem it will be handled yet all five dishes came to the table immediately it was a bummer and made for a quick dinner and food that wasn’t enjoyed. We had offered to order in stages to prevent this, but we’re assured nope it will be handled. Which it wasn’t.

    Clearly let our server know that two members of our party had dairy allergies. The server did great in providing a marked up menu with a selection of dishes that were dairy allergy safe. Despite only ordering and consuming items marked as dairy allergy safe, one member of our party became ill from consuming dairy in a manner customary with their allergy experience. Extremely disappointing that the kitchen was unable to safely follow allergy guidance and ended up causing a member of our party to become ill. I will say that other than the negative allergy experience, the food was fantastic and our server was polite and helpful. The kitchen needs to dial in their process and practices surrounding allergy notifications and meal preparation.

    Great atmosphere, great food, and good service, but they were very skimpy with their wine pours. We dine out fairly often, so we’re very familiar with what a standard pour is, particularly at this price point…and this one was lacking!
