We had afternoon tea planned to celebrate two birthdays - and when we arrived there were little cupcakes for the birthday girls and they sing to you also ! It was so special .
The service at this resort and Tea is phenomenal . We stayed here and were just so impressed by how courteous and happy the staff all are . They are ready to help in a flash ! The food choices were catered for the vegetarians and were delicious. The servings are so generous I could barely make it through the last course of desserts! I would highly recommend this Tea for anyone looking to have a nice afternoon with friends or family- and if you’d like to feel spoiled !
Wanda was wonderful and made the evening very enjoyable.
Thanks Wanda T! You’re the best!!
This was our first time at the Phoenician for high tea. We enjoyed it very much. The service was amazing from the valet and hostess to the actual tea service. They even were accommodating to my sister who has special diet needs. This was greatly appreciated! They made her feel inclusive and the rest of us were able to enjoy the full experience. Everything was wonderful except for some of the food. The desserts were great, but the scones were very dry and doughy. I love scones so consider myself a bit of a connoisseur. None of us cared for them very much. the variety and flavors of the sandwiches were very good, but on a couple, the bread seemed a bit stale of hard on top; like they had been sitting out for a while.
I love tea service in general and everything was wonderful except for a few of the food items.
Beautiful view of the mountains and we sat right next to the pianist. The experience was lovely and welcoming. The food and tea was delicious.
Love the Phoenician for high tea! It was noisier than usual, largely due to bigger crowds (thanks Downton Abbey), but we will always be back!
Beautiful afternoon of tea, champagne and friends! The sandwiches are so delicious, the scones and accompaniments great, as well as the desserts. For sure get the Champagne, they keep filling your glass as you enjoy piano music and the afternoon. A great revamp of the traditional tea.
Had a great time at the Afternoon Tea at The Phoenician. We love the tea from this establishment! Love the opportunity to have as many tea sandwiches, scones and pastries. This is always a great experience and one we will be doing again!
Service was good, but the food was lacking. The bread for the tea sandwiches was dry, as were the scones (they literally crumbled apart). The second issue was that it was quite warm near the windows, so much so that we were sweating. Third, I did not enjoy having afternoon tea with the bar patrons. It seemed strange to me to have the afternoon tea venue embedded with the bar crowd. In my opinion, afternoon tea is meant to be an elegant and tranquil experience, whereas the bar is casual and fun. Both ambiances are great independently, I just didn't think they complemented each other when blended together.
Absolutely beautiful tea service! Staff is fantastic! Highly recommend!
Very efficient staff, perfect ambiance and stunning views of the Phoenix area. Everything was perfect.
Afternoon tea is amazing. Location, service and food are all 5 star. Must do when in Scottsdale.
My friend and I have celebrated our birthdays at this Tea for 25+ years. Always wonderful!!!
Lovely venue, superb service, lovely food
At a very reasonable price considering how well managed and set up. Certainly recommend to anyone who wants a quiet, lovely afternoon repast.
Everything is great from the sandwiches to the scones to the truffles at the end. Wanda makes the experience thoroughly enjoyable. I never miss having Afternoon Tea at The Phoenician when I'm in Phoenix!
The food was absolutely outstanding. Four courses of the best food in the valley!
This is our 4th year coming to the Phoenician for Afternoon Tea to celebrate my best friend’s birthday. We’ve tried other places, but nothing compares to Tea at the Phoenician. The tea is incredible, the food is delicious, and the staff are very polite and attentive. Wonderful atmosphere - beautiful remodel recently. Highly, highly recommend! The experience is worth every penny!
Always a beautiful, delicious experience. Natalie and Wanda will make sure your tea time is excellent. Highly recommended. THE BEST afternoon tea in Phoenix. You won’t be disappointed.
Tea at the Phoenician is always a delightful treat. The food is interesting and delicious, the service attentive without being intrusive and the live piano music is a subtle background for your conversation. The view is hard to beat as well.
I have attended afternoon tea at the Phoenician several times and the Champagne Saturday was up to par. The staff is polite, friendly, professional and outstanding. The food was just as great as it is during tea and we were pleased beyond compare with the entire evening. We were celebrating a birthday and they made the birthday girl feel special with a lovely cupcake and candle. It was a nice reason to dress up a bit, share some lovely food and champagne and enjoy a view of the valley!
Afternoon Tea at the Phoenician is not to be missed. We went for a special occasion and I can't think of any event or restaurant environment that is more appropriate. We celebrated the end of my mom's care of my daughter in our home since she's now going to kindergarten. Breathtaking view, absolutely delicious food, options for children, took our time and were not rushed, quiet environment with live but soft music, impeccable service. Expensive for sure and we knew that. Not your average meal and well worth it.
Tea at the Phoenician is always a special occasion! The setting is breathtaking with a view of the mountains. The room is beautifully appointed. I particularly enjoy the granite wall and contemporary light fixtures. There is a wide variety of tea selections; herbal, white and black teas. The food is incredible. My favorite are the cranberry scones. Great flavor and so flaky. The desserts are too die for! The two ladies that run the show, Nathalie and Wanda, are amazing and take the experience to the next level. We will be back again and again!
Lovely tea service in a lively locale. Perfect Sunday afternoon treat.
It's a bit pricey for finger sandwiches and tea, but great memories for a special occasion
Afternoon Tea at the Phoenician is such a special treat. Wanda is the best and always makes it an amazing experience
Wanda is amazing. We see her every year for my granddaughter’s birthday. She makes the occasion even more special.
The tea sandwiches were excellent.... the scones and pastries not so much. Scones were dry and while pastries were pretty, they were not good. I would think that the Phoenician would have a superb pastry chef for this event, but not so. And while you would expect a high tea in the summer to be somewhat classy, we were seated next to very young children and some attendees attired in bathing suits and cover-ups. Not at all the afternoon tea we had expected!
Annual girls afternoon tea. Staff were friendly as usual. The sandwiches, scones, and desserts matched with my memories of past years going to tea, which is always good. The Phoenician accommodated my vegan and vegetarian friends, so they were happy too. The vegan chocolate dessert was really good according to my friend and she was super happy with it. We look forward to next year's gathering!
It was really a lovely experience. You couldn't ask for more attentive service and the food was very good. There is an interesting assortment of teas and a delightful selection of finger sandwiches and pastries. It is somewhat pricey, but well worth it when you factor in the service associates. Wanda is wonderful!
Nestled inside the lobby of the Phoenician Hotel, afternoon tea is a place to socialize with friends and family. The meal was delightful and paired well with the wide selection of teas was bite sized sandwiches, scones, and desserts. It was well worth the visit. We will be back!
Best afternoon tea ever. Super nice servers. Great sandwiches n scones
High Tea at the Phoenician was a wonderful birthday treat!
Wonderful experience. This is a real treat. The service was incredible. Wanda looked after us so well and made this experience a birthday to remember.
The venue i s beautiful and the staff was amazing - the grounds of the hotel are lovely. Its pricey, but its a lovely afternoon. A must do at least once.
Had a lovely time! Service was excellent and the piano music helped create a wonderful ambiance.
Love the high tea! Food was good, but the scones were mor like biscuits. The sandwiches were delicious. The desserts looked amazing, but flat on taste. Presentation was spot on! One of my friends ordered the GF menu and it was good, except for her dessert. There’s was only one option and it was a chocolate cake with a lot of coconut and she doesn’t like coconut, so that was disappointing. Should offer more GF desserts. She did say the GF scones were delicious. We were sat in a low conversational table with deep leather seats that you could not lean back in or you would slide right out! Would have been more enjoyable in a regular dining style table. Overall, we had a great time and loved the tea service.
It was a lot of fun to do high tea in a beautiful place with my niece. It was delicious and amazing service. I had a HUGE bug in my martini and I think it was a beetle. That was a turn off but they comped the drink. Other than that it’s wonderful to try!
My friend and I had another wonderful experience at the afternoon tea at the Phoenician. The service is always excellent and the tea itself gorgeous! I would highly recommend it.
While I miss the more traditional setting of the Afternoon Tea at The Phoenician, the service and food remain some of the best anywhere in the World and I do Afternoon Tea all over the World. I would highly recommend anyone who is in the Phoenix/Scottsdale area to take time to visit Wanda and Natalie and the crew at The Phoenician to partake in this truly delightful and delicious experience.
