Hola, my name is Alfredo Aquilar and I would like to invite you to our wonderful restaurant Las Cazuelas. Originally born in Puebla Mexico, I came to this great country when I was 4 years old. I apprenticed as a kitchen manager at another Mexican restaurant in the Old City section of Philadelphia where I learned my trade from the head chef who became my mentor. Since opening Las Cazuelas in November 1999, we have received great reviews and have been featured in many newspapers and magazines not only in Philadelphia but also around the country. Out of all my achievements, I am most proud of the fact that I have contributed to the community where I grew up. Please visit me and make sure to say hello so that I can thank you personally.

Outdoor dining is back! Join us for seated dining from 4pm.Our executive chef, Gabriel Romero, brings the flavors of Mexico, to our Philly neighborhood.“The flavors are a direct homage to the authentic flavors of Mexico City.” – Craig LaBanMexico City cuisine is a blend of that city’s Aztec origins, Spanish history, and cosmopolitan present. Chef Romero takes the basic elements of its cuisine – corn, beans, and chilies – to make both traditional and modern flavors. For example, guacamole is an Aztec all-star, while slow-cooked (pork) carnitas and chicken tinga draw on the import of pigs and chickens by the Spaniards, and modern Mexico City’s bold flavors. Stop by for all-day dining. Bring a bottle of tequila and enjoy one of our many mixers, we’re a BYOB! Grab a horchata or coffee, and take a pastry to go. Join us for tacos and burritos, eggs and chilaquiles, soups and salads, entrees of salmon, chicken, and beef, and much more. Provecho!
