There was ourselves and one other table on a Saturday night at 20:00..
The food was very average. Flavours ok but mainly heated up food as opposed to being cooked per order. It is certainly not fine dining and I would not return.
I have had better Indian fast food services than this establishment.
Good food and nice people.
Quick service and competitive price
Lovely and accommodating host
Good basic Indian food but nothing exceptional. Service was friendly and prompt.
Fab food, place and staff. A belated Christmas present well worth waiting for.
We were greeted by a mild member of staff and shown our table, noticing the restaurant had an aging, worn, tired feel to it, regardless of the Valentine decorations.
The service felt a bit disorderly, although the staff were pleasant and very helpful.
The starters were lovely, very tasty, however the mains and sides were less impressive, as was the chutney choice that went with pappadums.
Unfortunately and sadly, with the amount of good/excellent eatery choices in Liverpool, I would not recommend or return to Mayur, unless they modernised their menu, ambience and quality of food for the price you pay.
Only been to this restaurant twice. The two best indian meals I have ever had.
Superb food, Excellent, friendly service. Clean restaurant.
Lovely venue, nice staff, nice food, only down side was our table was directly outside the doors to the kitchen which meant we where constantly and accidently nudged by staff.
Excellent food very tasty, welcoming, clean, and the service was great, would recommend
We enjoyed a beautiful meal with excellent service. The staff were extremely helpful and it was great value for money. Would give it the highest recommendation.
Thanks for a lovely meal, drinks, service, atmosphere and value for money
Great food value for money didn’t leave disappointed nor with an empty belly
Booked in last minute to Mayur and was not disappointed. Extremely tasty food, great service and decent price! Highly recommend, will be going back!
Had a reservation on valentines night, first of all the host was busy whichever is understandable but a waitress looked right at us and collected a bill of a table right infront of us even if she couldn't of said the host will only be a moment I just thought it wa quite rude, they sat us on a table crammed between two of table of twos while half the other side of the restaurant was empty for the full two hours we was there clearly couldn't not be bothered having another section open there was a lovely table of two facing us free the whole of the night and lastly not once did the waitress check back on our courses whilst the table of two next to us had three check backs on every course we were a lot younger than most couples in the restaurant so maybe they thought we didn't care but I've worked in 4 star reastUrants and hotels since I was 18 and I've never had service like it we just wanted to pay and leave I never leave a bad review but this totally ruined my valentines night we had been looking forward to trying out you're restaurant for weeks and I don't think I wouldn't recommend or attend again.
Great quick service, welcoming staff and a great selection of meals for both veggies and meat eater.
the restaurant was very nice staff very nice food was excellent but place needs heating on it was freezing the whole time we ate
Excellent as always!
Lovely food but service was quite slow despite there only being 2 other couples in there . Would definitely return
☺prompt and efficient service, good food. Attentive staff throughout the meal.
Lots of choice on the menu, piping hot.
Easy to walk to, public car park opposite restaurant.
Tables a good distance apart.
Excellent food for price of dishes.
Seasonal decorations good.
Good descriptiobs of meals and spice level.
One of the best Indian Restaurants in Liverpool. Beautiful decor love the huge crystal chandeliers so pretty. Delicious a la carte Indian food. The Prawn Jalfrezi was divine as was the garlic naan. Service was first class. Lovely welcome and the staff were so friendly & hospitable. Even took some food home we couldn't manage as the portions were so good. Definitely look forward to next visit.
The Chick Pea main dish was very spicy and far too salty, was unable to eat this. I shared a friends Paneer main dish which was very nice and sweet.
Other members of the group said there food was too spicy also.
The chick pea puree starter was also very nice. A member of the group had to return their meat samosa starter as they were cold in the middle. This was rectified very quickly and a complementary glass of wine was given - problem dealt with efficiently and very good customer service.
The restaurant has very nice surroundings.
We did witness the manager telling off a member of his staff quite abruptly which was not very nice to see or hear. This should have been done privately.
The restaurant has an excellent menu that varies from the standard Indian menu often seen, and we were served by a charming & very helpful waitress. The food didn't disappoint and was really tasty. The restaurant itself is nicely appointed, and was quite full with a pleasant buzz (the time was approx 6 to 7 on a Sat evening)
Definitely worth a repeat visit in my book.
Excellent service but then there was only one other table occupied in the restaurant ( it was 845pm on a Thursday)
Clean, tidy and nicely decorated.
Food was ok but Main course was too hot for me, I don't like it too spicy but my Husband likes spicy and also found it a bit too hot. Garlic naan bread was too dry and not very garlicky .
We thought it was a little expensive.
Delicious food and the Open Talbe offer was wonderful value. Lovely wine at a good price
I went with my daughter. The food and service was excellent and we had a lovely evening. Thank you. Geoff Fawcett
Table was sticky
Duck was overdone
Waited ages for staff members to look at you to get some more bread as they were all talking as place wasn’t that busy.
Great early evening meal.
We were staying in the apartments above Mayur. Wanted a place to eat locally as we had our two young children with us, so couldn't get much better. Especially after seeing their early evening 3 course offer. Booked a table for 6 at 18:30 on a Friday no problems.
Lovely decor and warm welcome. Options on the menu were excellent and the service was the same. Can't do better than £14.95 for three courses including a drink.
Would visit again when in the area.
Had a £50 free meal voucher that the restaurant so kindly offered us after they had to cancel our booking and close Mayur for a weekend for maintenance. We booked a new reservation at first chance as soon as the restaurant opener again. The bill came out to £75. They gave us the entire meal entirely complementary.
Also worth mentioning that the peshawari naan and korma are absolutely delicious.
Best Indian experience in all of Liverpool.
Mayur is a high quality Restaurant; it is NOT a 'curry house' or a balti quick-bite type place. There were five of us and we had a lovely meal over the course of two-hours. I would go back in a second...
Good service but spice level bland and food luke warm. Expensive for what we had
Great fresh and tasty curries and good value perfect after a long day at the golf. Next time in Liverpool we will be back
We booked in here last minute as a hen party as our original place didn’t have a great menu. The staff really looked after us and the set menu was unbelievable value. I’d definitely come back here!
This has to be one of the best Indian restaurants in Liverpool
Lovely place to eat, brilliant service, very helpful.
We have visited this restaurant on a number of times & the food, service has always been excellent. I would recommend this to all my family & friends😀
The food was absolutely lovely but the restaurant itself was quite dead, there was only me and my partner and another little family in there and that was on Easter Sunday which I expected it to be busy, but the plus to that was we didn't wait long the the food, but as I say don't judge the place on the quantity of people ,judge by the food and it was delicious
Food was excellent. Well presented restaurant, very spacious. Good service. Great evening with friends
Really disappointed with the standard of food. Based on a previous visit a year or so ago the standards have really dropped. We should have realised when entering the restaurant as it was half empty, which was surprising given everywhere else in Liverpool was rammed as it was St Patrick's Day. They did knock 25% off the overall bill, but I would rather have had good quality and paid full price. The staff were very nice and polite given the circumstances.
Lovely meal for five of us on Valentine's Day
Friendly service and pleasant surroundings
Would go back when next in Liverpool
Food was nice.........................................
