   Loved my time here! The ambiance and service were very good. I had some time to kill before a flight home so had some wine, the house made chips (yum!) and the veggie platter. A suggestion moving forward would be to serve roasted vegetables, not raw vegetables. I would never order or pay for that dish again (also the “goat cheese” spread did not taste like goat cheese).

   Sadly the circumstances were unavoidable to the point we had to make another dinner reservation elsewhere for more than a few reasons, my colleague and I planned on having dinner and drinks here after our work conference and were sat at the window where the sun directly shining through had us move to the next table that was not much better because of the window shades/curtains being broken. We ordered the Brussels and Burrata app to share but was the first time I’ve ever almost sent something back but we had a few bites of the undercooked sprouts with the burrata cheese being a thin foam liquid that tasted more sour than sweet or creamy, and the egg white in my partners cocktail (or the glass itself) smelled even worse (like oyster juice and spoiled milk) to the point we decided to promptly pay and leave. The servers and staff were wonderful and very kind/accommodating but simply understaffed with it being a peak period in the day for dinner, and with our conference also making it difficult for things to efficiently play out.

   Eggs made to order and many hot and cold options, though I missed cheese & meat cuts. No cappucino or other special coffees available either, just regular coffee. Noisy & busy environment, with people walking by all the time.

   The food was vey good-I had a Caesar salad with chicken- The chicken was moist and flavorful My husband had the bacon cheeseburger which was also very good Nice selection of wines by the glass but they were a little pricey-so we asked if we could order a bottle -(would have. Been a better value) They gave us the wine list and we ordered a bottle-we never got it- Are food arrived and and the waiter said the manager was trying to find the wine that we Ordered-eventually they came back and said they didn’t have it-by this time we were half done w our meal-so we just ordered by the glass The real star of the meal was dessert-their vanilla bourbon milk Shake-decadent and totally delicious!!- An absolute must to try!

   The restaurant was perfect to meet colleagues during the conference. We had a large table for 8, picnic style, that facilitated easy conversation. The little gem salad with fish as an entree was delicious and filling.

    Vibrant setting (at least when several hundred conference attendees staying at the hotel have just hit town). Food was not as described on the menu. “Frings” were not 50/50 onion rings & fries: they were a bowl of fries with three small onion rings on top. I ordered my burger medium-well; it came out pink. Good portion size and not unreasonably overpriced for a hotel restaurant. Slow service (probably due to understaffing). Accommodating and friendly host and wait staff.

    The omelette and pancake and French toast chefs were friendly and pros at their trade. The service was top notch by Robbin. The marina view was amazing up high above the ocean below and the hosts were friendly. Each of the food items were fresh and well presented, clean around each area. Even the restrooms were clean and elegantly fragrant, when you don’t expect this often. Great place for buffet breakfast. Will definitely return again!

    Abe was our server. We had 4 kids under age 5 and he was so patient and kind and helped clean up a couple of water spills too! Wish he could work at every restaurant we go to ❤️. And the food was excellent also

    Marina Kitchen is surprisingly good. We stayed at Marriott during our SD trip, but didn’t try out the restaurant until the last day, because there are so many options in the area and hotel food usually is not our first choice. But Marina Kitchen changed our view on hotel food. Both the salad and steak were really good, and comparing to most other restaurants in the area, it offers a much better value. Strongly recommending this place.

    Nice view, subpar very basic breakfast buffet. Super overpriced. Paid $80 for 2 Denny's style breakfast quality. Most of the food was cold, poorly made, and underseasoned. Then charged $20 to park in an empty lot. Definitely not worth the price.

    I have now eaten at the restaurant twice and both times found the food excellent! This was a very pleasant surprise to me in a hotel restaurant. My two groups consisted of a total of 12 individuals, and all were very pleased with meals that had high quality and creative twists. Highly recommended!

    My husband & I visited San Diego so we met my brother’s family (with 2 kids) at the Marina Kitchen for breakfast. We loved cooked to order omelet station manned by two wonderful chefs who were delightful and friendly. Oh do they know how to make wonderful omelets! The buffet had a great variety of breakfast items that were of quality ingredients and fresh. For example the syrup that accompanied the omelets had the consistency of and tasted like real maple syrup. Whipped butter was a great touch instead of little rectangular butter pieces. The Marina view out the window was priceless as well. It wasn’t the cheapest breakfast (think it was $36 for adults and $19 for kids?) but I felt it was a great value given the wonderful ambiance and that the buffet included coffee and juices that the servers kept replenishing. Our server Percy was wonderful. We had a great time!!

    We had difficulty finding the entrance from the water front. It was not clear. Once inside we enjoyed the service, food and drinks. Erica was a great waitress, checking with us and attentive. Knowing we were going to the Shell for concert, she ensured our food was timely. Shrimp appetizer was delicious, fish was perfectly cooked and duck was tasty. We enjoyed our evening.

    Breakfast buffets are back. The omelettes are great and there is a good selection of fruit, breads, and hot foods including fresh made pancakes. It is a little on the expensive side but many hotels have not brought back the buffets. The restaurant overlooks the expansive set of pools and the service is good providing beverages and clearing plates.

    The chef's recommended chicken was very good. The chef's recommended salmon was burned on one side but tasted OK. We didn't have table settings when we were seated. When the food came we asked for silverware. Nobody responded, so after a few minutes I went to a table that had table settings and helped myself. It was extremely noisy due to a number of conventioneers hanging around the bar.

    Abe was great as was everyone else who helped us. They made the experience memorable. Breakfast was a little pricey $130 for three however the food was very good. Will see you again soon.

    A simple dinner with my son. We split a fantastic bacon cheese burger. It’s was perfectly cut in half with our own bowl of frings (2 onion rings atop fries). It was paired with this awesome dipping sauce - yummy
