   we went at the recommendation of a friend who is also gluten free, there are plenty of gf choices on the menu, but unfortunately the gf ravioli uses a different kind of pasta and isn't ravioli which wasn't communicated, they were also out of gf hamburger buns and sparkling rose, at least they took the ravioli off of our bill, but did charge for the cheeseburger replacement which i expected to be comped, they did give us a $15 gift card which was nice, but not sure we'll be back

   Great atmosphere! A very swanky and social place to meet friends. Just be sure to sit away from the door during the cold months. Their beignets are the perfect finish to your evening.

   We hit at a weird time - end of brunch, no lunch menu, and only small happy hour menu until dinner. We totally understood but probably would have planned differently if we’d known the menu would be so limited. Server and staff was great and cocktails were delish - try the sangria!

    Our lunch was lovely, as always, and the only complaint we both had were the french fries were way too salty so much so that I couldn’t even eat them.

    Our experience was great. The food and the service were wonderful. My only critique is that I wish our waitress would have brought dessert menus after our meal. We didn’t end up having it but some of us might have like to. That was minor and we will definitely go back!

    I go to Louie’s A LOT. Made a reservation at 5. Had dinner with my two sisters who I haven’t gotten with since the holidays. Ordered dinner. Two of us had two drinks a piece. At seven the hostess asked us if we could leave because they were busy. I’ve literally never had that happen in my 30 years of living in Overland Park!!! We got up and left.

    It was a very busy evening and it was apparent the staff was stressed and had too much going on. Service was slow, food was good but not on par with the prices. Asked for a medium-well fillet and it came out very rare. The staff was nice and tried to make up for it by giving us a complimentary dessert, which was appreciated, however they failed to me to mention it was made with nut products and I have a nut allergy. All in all, not a great experience. I’m sure it would’ve been better in a quieter night, but I’m not sure I’ll want to return.

    Been here many times and it’s a favorite. Service is usually good and the food is more upscale without high cost. Last nights food was a disappointment however. We had a table for 4. The ladies had the shrimp and grits. There was less shrimp than usual and an unusual amount of grits compared to before. It was also dry and needed more sauce. The gents had the gnocchi. The gnocchi was over cooked and one bowl was sparse while the other abnormally full. Kitchen was off their game. Usually I would recommend this place highly.

    I had a fun date night with my hubby at Louie’s. He had the PB burger and said it was really good. I had the risotto and the Brussel sprouts- yes, both. And both were delish! The brussel sprouts were some of the best I’ve ever had. And best of all, it was all GF! Only criticism, the lighting was a little too bright. I would have enjoyed a lil mood lighting.

    Had a great visit here recently. We had a minor issue with one of the dishes we ordered that addressed immediately and well beyond expectations. Manager Jess was a pleasure to speak to. She genuinely appreciated the feedback on the dish, and made sure we left 100% happy with our experience there.

    We overall had a great time. Was a little disappointed to make a reservation only to be seated at the bar…. Especially since we were trying to celebrate our one year wedding anniversary. But the food was good and had great gluten free options for me with my allergy.

    I had not visited here is several years and decided to stop in for dinner. Got a table 15 minutes before happy hour ended at 6. The server did not check on us until 5:59 so we were able to just get our drink orders in under the wire. The booth we were seated in had a large tear in the seat cushion and looked like it had been that way for quit some time, Louie’s is starting to show its age and feels like they are leaning in to the “Dive” in Louie’s Wine Dive. Order the steak and shrimp tacos. Both were average. Probably will not visit again for a couple years.

    1st time visit. Was recommended by a relative. We were seated at the worst seat in the house. Servers had to turn sideways to get past our table, as did other patrons (table 20). The food was excellent, except the description of the food and what was delivered didn't match, but was so good we didn't mind. The noise level where we were seated was quite loud. Server made a mistake on the dessert but made it right. Overall the food was excellent, the wine was quite good. Will never sit at that table ever again. I hope for their sake the fire marshall doesn't spot it when they are near capacity since the isle width is nowhere near minimum. Don't know if we will go back there or not. We definitely won't go back on a Friday or Saturday.

    This is the second time in less than 1 month’s time we have dined at these restaurant’s (owned by the same holding company). We ate at Gram & Dun in January, as well. The same was true for both restaurants. -Very expensive prices, for very small portions of food. Chicken with gristle, undercooked Swiss chard, risotto which lacked a definitive flavor profile, and greasy fries. The service was lacking, but this is standard, now, for most restaurants. The desserts are tiny portions- definitely NOT worth the price. My wife also found a piece of dishware in her meal, last night. She politely let it be, as we were with friends, celebrating a birthday, and did not want to create a scene. Our reservations were at 6:30 PM, and we didn’t get the check till 7:55 PM. It was a long wait, for a small portion of sub-par food, with a large price tag attached.

    I cannot sing praises for Louie's enough! I took my girlfriend on an impromptu date here, and the manager gave us a great experience. He offered very helpful and honest recommendations on wines, entrees, desserts, and cocktails. The wine was great, the food was surprisingly fantastic, and we were treated to some of the best beignets we have ever had. Another side tip - if you like cocktails, they make a meeeaannn old fashioned here.

    We had a 7:30 reservation. We were not sat until 8:00. Our waiter took our drink order. We sat at our table for 30 minutes before he came back to take our order and that was because we called him over. We didn’t end up with food until 8:50.

    Made reservation for a busy Friday night. It was packed, but we were seated within 10 minutes. Scored with a booth. Fried cheese curds and the Brussel sprouts for appetizers - both excellent. Main course of fish and chips and gnocchi in pork sauce. Best gnocchi I've ever had - best Italian dish I've ever had! Staff was upbeat, friendly and had excellent suggestions. WE WILL BE BACK!
