Under the arches of one of the oldest buildings in Venice Beach, half a block from the boardwalk, Market brings modern Italian cooking to the historic 72 Market Street. Twelve-foot glass doors open onto the street, a 20-foot bar anchors the room, and the patio catches the ocean breeze.The kitchen cooks seasonally, with California produce, seafood and pasta made in house. Start with oysters, crispy squash blossoms with Bellwether Farms ricotta or king salmon crudo, then share the way Italians do: spicy vodka Lumache, rigatoni carbonara, charred branzino or hanger steak for the table. The Tasting Kitchen on Abbot Kinney in Venice originally opened in 2009, with a young, newcomer chef - Casey Lane - who had just moved to Los Angeles from Portland. The name and concept were one and the same, with Lane refreshing a tasting-style menu almost nightly based on what was available at the markets. Known for its handwritten menus, and luxe bohemian vibes complete with an olive tree growing in the middle of the dining room, the restaurant quickly became one of the iconic tentpoles on the famed Westside boulevard. Here, Lane made a name for himself in the LA culinary scene and helped create a hot spot for locals and a destination for an audience beyond.Chef Casey Lane’s approach is simultaneously serious with technique and relaxed in delivery.     Ottimo servizio veloce, nonostante il ristorante fosse completo, ci hanno fatto aspettare pochissimo sia all’entrata che al tavolo cibo ottimo Cameriere simpaticissimo e molto presente prezzo congruo per qualità e servizio oltreché location
