The first Oven Restaurant, located in the heart of downtown Lincoln, has been around since 1988 and owned/operated by a dedicated family of chefs who have been creating Indian cuisine for over twenty seven years. The Oven Restaurants specialize in Northern Indian Cuisine which is known for its rich colors, flavor profiles and a unique style of cooking in a clay oven, called the Tandoor. Chicken, shrimp and lamb marinate for several hours in a yogurt and spice mixture and placed on skewers while various breads are being hand made by our chefs fresh each day. The skewers and breads are then placed in the tandoor over an open flame where breads are cooked to perfection and the rich flavors are sealed in to ensure tenderness and quality of the meat. Whether you enjoy the historic Haymarket atmosphere to the relaxed vibe of the Cellar, we have what you want!

    This was a fabulous dinner. We ordered the appetizer sampler and the two different thalis and shared them for 6 people and still had leftovers. Everything was delicious and fun to try new dishes we never had. It was an anniversary celebration so the seated us at a quiet table in the cellar and the waiter was amazing. Couldn't have been better!!

    We had the most wonderful anniversary celebration with our family at Blue Sushi, and the entire experience made us feel incredibly special. Becky went above and beyond to make our evening memorable, and we believe it was Anna, the morning hostess, who created the beautiful hand-drawn artwork on the anniversary card waiting for us at our table. It was such a thoughtful and personal touch that meant so much to us. Blue Sushi in downtown Lincoln has long been our favorite restaurant, and experiences like this are exactly why. The food is consistently outstanding, the service is exceptional, and the genuine care shown by the staff makes every visit feel special. We absolutely love it here and can’t wait to come back again. Thank you for helping make our anniversary so memorable!

    I have dinner at GG whenever I am in Lincoln, which is once, maybe twice a year. It completes all that I want in a meal out...good atmosphere, good waitstaff, and great food. We enjoyed Lobster Fettuccine, Beef Wellington, and Salmon and Risotto. The beer list is surprisingly pedestrian, given the wine and cocktail offerings. But, the Stella that I poured from the bottle into a glass was cold and refreshing. One in our party had dessert--carrot cake. It was beautiful to look at and delicious in its texture and balance. A great dinner was enjoyed by all and we thank you!
