Once the beautiful Victorian interiors of this old pub were restored to their original glory and the first floor dining room opened, along with outside terrace for dining, the locals must have breathed a sigh of delight before tucking into some seriously good gastropub grub. Business folk crowd in at lunchtimes, while friendlier couples and groups pack in evenings and weekends. There is something here to suit most palates and pockets. The menu changes daily - another sign that they're serious about food here - but we recently loved the fish chowder, and the aubergine, potato and spinach bhaji with yoghurt. The wine list is heaven.

The Remedy is an independent restaurant opened in November 2013 located in Fitzrovia just five minutes walk from Regents Park. We serve Italian inspired small plates paired with an ever changing wine list. We wanted to create a cozy and relaxed place, where people could discover great food and beautiful wine. And so The Remedy was born!The food menu is a mix of traditional dishes and flavours, mainly from our beloved Italy and with respect of seasonality. Small plates, perfect to be shared in a convivial atmosphere.Our wine list is the result of our endless research for new and exciting wines from all over the world. We focuses on small producers with a low intervention approach (or so called natural wine) alongside producers with a more traditional touch. We have an extensive selection of wines by the glass on a weekly rotation and over 200 references by the bottle and a cellar list to dig in for some old vintages and rare wines.

    What a excellent restaurant, staff, atmosphere and food were great. The staff could not do enough for you and you felt like a VIP. Our waiter Firdaus did a great job and so did all the other staff. We had a great time and would definitely recommend

    Nice, cozy pub with extensive menu of tapas style dishes as well as conventional ones. Good mix of veg and meat options. The dishes we ordered were all tasty and served in a timely manner. Table was a bit small and it was tricky to have every plate in place. Waitress was helpful and friendly. Overall, a lovely dinner at our “local”.

    The service was very friendly and the food was so delicious, it's hard to choose which superlative to use! I really appreciated that the chef couple make my biryani with very few chilies, so I got all the flavour and none of the burn. 😍
