Tlaquepaque Sedona broke ground in 1971, designed after a colorful Mexican city on the outskirts of Guadalajara by the same name. Tlaquepaque is an Aztec word meaning "best of everything". Rene restaurant first opened in 1978. Today the restaurant is owned by local Chef and restauranter who lives on a hill just behind Tlaquepaque. Chef Mercer Mohr and his business partner Mithat Evirgen, also oversee Creekside American Bistro, Mesa Grill Southwest Cuisine, Rascal...a modern dining experience, and The View -private dining room and event space. Mercer's Kitchen Restaurant Group was started in 2008 when Chef Mercer Mohr moved to Sedona from San Francisco. We are a small local business actively striving to make Sedona a better place.René at Tlaquepaque is a true dining destination.
