Excellent food. Beautiful location next to Otsego Lake. We were seated by the windows, so had a great view of the lake, which still had lots of ice on it. Outstanding service from our waitress, Karla. It was off-season (mid-March), so fewer people were there than other times that I've eaten there. Only negative was that portions seemed a little small.

Josie’s Table had excellent staff and food. Definitely recommend!

We had a delightful afternoon tea in the 1909 room. The food and service were both outstanding. Favorites included the charred carrot humus and the uncrustable. Will hope to book again on our next visit to Cooperstown.

The wait staff all were exceptional in their politeness and attention to detail. Good food. Good service. A great way to start the day.

We really enjoyed our meals at Canal Side Inn. The food was excellent! Could not have been better. From interesting and fresh soup and salad choices, to well prepared and presented main courses and desserts, everything was great. The atmosphere is like taking a step back in time, with wood paneling and even a full phone booth outside the bar area. The music, tunes I remembered hearing at my grandparent's house, complemented the environment nicely. Tables were beautifully set and the service pleasant and attentive. The only thing that was a slight negative, and due to the age and location of the space, was a musty smell initially upon entering. A little bit like a grandparent's house, too! :) In no way did that impact the overall experience for us, and we will definitely be back.
