   I ordered prime rib and mashed potatoes and it was served Luke warm . The Brussels sprouts were salty My son in laws chicken was overly cooked and dry.

   Poor service, had to ask for items multiple times. Wife got her soy sauce after she was done her sushi. I never did get my salt and pepper. Appetizer was $18 for 6 tiny dumplings. My steak was not a good cut of meat; I asked for medium rare and it came out medium well. They comped our meals which was the right thing to do, but we won’t be back.

   Great ambiance, food, and service. The menu provides a good variety of foods and the pricing is reasonable. The servers are very attentive and friendly which makes the dining experience a good one.

   Good food, diverse menu, and chain restaurant consistency. But the trade off for getting consistency is that it’s not particularly interesting or unusual - just a solid dining choice.

   Great service, food was so-so. Had the meatballs, little overdone. Husband had California roll and tomato basil soup and loved both. Music was so loud, even outside, couldn’t hear anyone talking.

   At almost 2 HOURS after being seated with only drinks in hand- apps finally come. Shortly thereafter, maybe 20 mins, dinner entres aeeive. ALL BUT THE SUSHI ORDERS...Out of a party of 12- 5 people had ordered sushi for dinner. Server said they were one person short and "it was coming".Another 45 mins later... WITHOUT any word from a manafer- we finally asked for our check to be closed out. NO DINNER FOR 5 OF 112. The only thing offered was the sushi to be taken off of the bill. I am apalled by the lack of PR at this point.. A discount should have been given. $500+ bill and I'll never bring a celebration to Kona again. What a bummer!! Yours truly, life long customer so disappointed

   Never received our Sashimi Roll before dinner because the Sushi Bar was behind. Ended up cancelling it. Salmon & rice were barely warm.

    We reserved an outdoor table. We were assigned a high top table. We saw an empty standard table in the area, also outdoor. We requested that table . We were told we would have to wait 25 minutes to get a standard table EVEN THOUGH THAT'S WHAT WE MADE OUR RESERVATION FOR! Walk-ins got our desired table. WHAT GOOD IS IT TO MAKE A RESERVATION??? The hightop was very crowded for the 4 of us with our drinks, apps and meal.

    The Poke Bowl with tuna and rice was excellent as were the salads that our friends had. We had a wonderful lunch, with a terrific waiter and it was a great choice for our International Women’s Day celebration.

    We waited over 30 minutes to get our table even though we had a reservation. Our food took an extremely long time to arrive and we had five children with us. Our server Blake was great, but we won’t be returning to Kona Grill because of the overall poor experience. Having a reservation should count for something.

    It was good food but ridiculous that we waited 1 hour to get our appetizer of tuna tartar…even our waitress was embarrassed and kept apologizing to us..we informed her it’s not her fault and appreciated her checking in with us. This was strictly managements fault.

    We always go here for the macadamia chicken .. the portion and quality has slowly dropped. Green beans are often not hot, drenched in a Thai sauce and the fried rice was 90% bean sprouts , eggs & edamame with no flavor. It used to have pineapple and shrimp and it was so good. Butter cake is still amazing though and the manager was kind enough to give it to us due to the disappointment in dinner as well as the gnats flying around and the noisy kids two tables over whose parent didn’t feel the need to teach them how to behave in a restaurant.

    The server wasn’t very attentive - everything was slow to come out although it was nearly empty in there . I left a yelp review already. So I won’t repeat it here. I like the Scottsdale location better. I’ll keep going there.

    Haven't been for awhile and was hoping things had gotten better. This used to be one of our favorite places. I Wanted the ribeye but at $39 and only included potatoes and needed to add $9 for green beans,$48 for ribeye dinner?? I decided on the macadamia crusted chicken which was okay. Our reservations were for 8:15pm on a Saturday. I was a bit confused with loud music being played trying to make it more of a Saturday night club/dinner atmosphere but there were kids running around everywhere. Seems like the family dining atmosphere is bringing in the business, I suggest turning off the music. I had $25 in reward points to use up, which we did and no need to go back.

    Not sure why I gave this restaurant another chance, but this time they really messed up and I do not plan to return, ever! My husband's $39 steak was 80% fat and inedible.

    When we went in, we had a waitress that was very tired and not sure what she was doing. There was four of us one received their meal while we were still eating appetizers and was completely finished by the time the other three received their meals. We had to ask for silverware, napkins, and then again, more napkins, because they literally brought four to the table. we wanted more drinks we’re not serviced. When they brought out our meals they were all on plates together so we didn’t know who it was who and then had to ask for side plates. The manager walked around, but never did we get to speak to him.

    I made reservations well in advance, arrived at my proper time we were seated. we sat and sat and sat. We were left on ignore, so we just left plus the music was extremely loud. I don’t know why I continue to put myself through this horrible chain restaurant. But this is the end of attempting to eat there.

    My 10 birthday guests arrived on time but we had to wait 90 minutes to be seated for our reservation. We kept being told it would be ready soon. Apparently there was a table that just wasn't leaving. Then we sat for ages waiting for even just waters nevermind actual drinks. I ordered a glass of champagne as soon as i sat down and it took 30 mins. And the food was bad, everyone's. Some didn't even get their food at all! Undercooked chicken and steak. Cold food. Sauce slopped all off the side of the plate, it looked so unappetizing. Complete 180 to the last time I had my birthday dinner there. We had to ask repeatedly for several drinks that never came out and an appetizer which wasn't even needed by the time it came out. We were respectfully communicating our frustrations the entire time. Finally the manager came and ended up comping our entire food bill. For 11 people. I don't know how much it was but obviously hundreds with the prices there, which are outrageous considering the quality. I'm personally never coming here again, that was enough for me!

    Unfortunately we had 2 plates and soy sauce dishes brought to our table. We lifted one of the plates and there was food all over the bottom of it. Not just crusted food but actual globs of dirty rice. The server apologized and brought clean dishes over. Our steaks were ordered medium rare but they arrived rare. The side dish of mac and cheese didn’t look like it had been completely cooked through. The cheese sprinkled on top wasn’t even completely melted and it was like warm if even We were celebrating our Anniversary and Kona has always been one of our favorites to celebrate but unfortunately we left completely disappointed. We each had 2 drinks, an appetizer and 2 entrees and before tip our bill was $180. We definitely didn’t have a $180 quality meal or service. Sadly I will not be returning.

    We were served our steak about 20 minutes before the rest of our sushi meal, and were never given silverware until we finally made eye contact with our server. Great food but wish dinner could have been served closer together.

    We have been to KonaGrill many times. Unfortunately with time the quality and selection of the food deteriorates, the price significantly increases, and the service is mediocre. It used to be a wonderful place to go now I would suggest going elsewhere.

    Granted, it was Valentine's day but we did have a reservation on the patio. Even with the heaters on it was very cold with the wind blowing in. Our food came out super fast, almost like it was pre-prepped - the calamari wasn't crispy or hot as it would be if it was freshly cooked, as it usually is when we come here. I understand trying to keep up with the holiday rush but it shouldn't take away from the quality of the food. Will still come to Kona, it's a favorite, but not on a busy holiday.

    man, let me tell you... mind you we come every Monday night and sometime in between. We are regulars and order the same thing every time. Our waiter was cool, he's only been there for a few weeks. He took our order never took the menus from us so there at the table all the way till the end. So we put our drink order in and he brings everybody's drink but mine. I reminded him about my drink he said oh yea let me go get that. Appetizers brought out still my coke hasn't arrived. We still have no silverware either. So we asked for silverware he said okay be right back. Still no silverware after 10 minutes apps getting cold. So I told my son go ask the hostess for some silverware. They bring us the silverware and as thats happening the waiter said oh my bad I was just getting ready to get you some. But we asked for that when you brought the drinks. Mind you I still don't have my coke my drink at this point and said to him can I get my coke he said oh man thats what I forgot let me go get it. I get the kona stir fry every time with turmeric rice- my turmeric rice has almonds and pickled onions in it. Never have i had this in my rice and I have the previous pics to prove it. And it was almonds in my stir fry. Our waiter said the manager and the cook said this is how it comes, I said no it doesn't because I order this every time and I've NEVER had this in my rice with some type of mustard cream. Like what? We asked for a manager and a manager never came to our table. We never had problems when we have Amber as our waitress. She is the bomb! But she not there during the week.I blame the management because he should have proper training and not be left alone if not ready. He did good somewhat. But we looked pass it because again not his fault. But we won't be back for a while. Oh and guess what ate my food finished my food paid the check and still no COKE COLA still never got my drink!! Disaster

    Absolutely love how FRESH the sushi is at Kona. Absolutely wonderful. The service was really great. We celebrated Valentine's on Saturday, and although Kona has a limited menu for occasions like this, it was still robust enough to satisfy the Sushi fan (me), and the non sushi fan (hubby.) The avocado egg rolls are the best!! Kona is a bit pricey, but well worth it for special occasions! Last note; the MUSIC was fantastic and was being programmed by an onsite professional.

    The service was exceptional, Brooke, the server took great care of us, as did the manager Dotty as far as the food? It was average nothing special. But my wife and I had a great time mainly due to the staff.

    Noise level was too loud to carry on conversation. It would be appropriate in a dance club but without a dance floor it was just too much noise. People come to a nice restaurant to enjoy each other’s company and visit. Not saying no music just less volume.

    Pet peeve, water spots all over my martini glass. I shouldn’t have to tell the bartender to wipe down my glass. Food is over priced, $24. For a French Dip! And that’s under “Lighter Fare” music horrible and too loud.

    Food was VERY overpriced. The Las Vegas roll was FIVE pieces for $19 and not that flavorful. Drinks were also not very good especially for $14. Won’t be back here again.
