Kai | Sheraton Grand at Wild Horse Pass
The ambiance, the service, the menu, the food was excellent. Just perfect for our 65th anniversary!
the service was especially amazing, but, at the same time, very comfortable.
My husband and I recently celebrated our anniversary at Kai. Friends of ours had recommended it highly and it lived up to our expectations. The dining room is nicely appointed with views of the surrounding mountains, but overall the decor is subtle and low key. You can order individual items from the menu or choose a tasting menu with or without wine pairings. We chose to make our own choices and ordered three courses each as well as a bottle of wine. The food was all beautifully presented and delicious with interesting and unique flavor profiles. The portions are not huge, but certainly big enough to be filling. They brought us a complimentary souffle for dessert since it was our anniversary. The wait staff was amazing. The service was attentive and informative but never overbearing. Jeremy our waiter went above and beyond to make our dinner not just dinner but a dining experience to remember. Kai is the perfect place to celebrate a special occasion.
An absolutely amazing experience! Exceptional food and service!
Spectacular. Outstanding. Spectrum of flavors. Excellent service from every staff. Is a privilege to eat at this place. Thank you Chef! Thank you Planet Earth.
Outstanding service and food. Dining was an ethereal experience, beyond expectations. Received a thank you note under my hotel door the next day plus a gift on my hotel doorknob consisting of honey and a “breakfast bread” sample. Have never had this before.
We went to Kai for our anniversary dinner. It is always written up as probably the best restaurant in the Phoenix area. It did not disappoint - this is not just a meal it is a true "Dining Experience". We were there for about 2 1/2 hours but the entire experience was fantastic. Jackson - our Server was exceptional as was the entire staff. They talked about the Native American history of the area and how their foods were incorporated into the various dishes. The food was incredible. It would take way too much time to describe everything, but my wife had the Buffalo filet which was very tender and juicy with very little fat. I had the Steelhead Trout - which I was told would look and taste a lot like Salmon - and it did - very, very good. This is not your typical steak, seafood and potato restaurant. If you want something different that could possibly be the best meal and experience you have ever had - we would highly recommend Kai.
We will definitely go back again.
We were celebrating our son’s college graduation and knew from previous meals there, this would be the perfect place.
Not only was the food amazing but the staff lived up to the same level. Love this place!
Amazing experience. Impeccable service. Delicious food. Great cocktails. My only complaint is that some items were too salty. We did the journey tasting experience and thoroughly enjoyed it. It was pricey but worth it.
We have been to Kai several times over a couple of years and it is still outstanding! The food is wonderful The presentation fabulous Not any more expensive than some other high end restaurants in the valley An experience you should not miss
Jackson, Sam and the entire staff were truly amazing! The food was nothing short of spectacular! The flavors and the presentation were a work of art! The attention to detail was impressive! Highly recommended!
It is an expensive meal but the level of service, attention to detail, the presentation of the food, and the customer care is amazing. The sunset over the mountains made for a beautiful dining experience. Thanks to the staff for the top-quality service.
This was my 5th return to Kai and I have to say it is always a perfect experience. Less of a meal and more a journey of the senses through history and culture. Just incredible. Every single time.
The food and service are truly exceptional.
Service was wonderful and food was amazing. We went for our wedding anniversary Wednesday night and really enjoyed the entire experience. We would definitely recommend it!
My second time at Kai was better than my first. I knew just what to order, escargot to start followed by venison. Both about as good a dish as you could hope to find anywhere. The one comment however is that there was not quite enough sauce for my venison. I understand not wanting to slather it but near the end I could have used more sauce. As Michel roux jr says, “serve more sauce on the side.”
Dessert was underwhelming again, which was was sad but....
Service was great and we were pampered and well taken care of. A very thoughtful meal.
Fantastic presentations, superb service, innovative menu and a great wine. The necessary ingredients for a memorable anniversary dinner. The staff opened the curtains right at sunset treating us a jaw dropping view. Dining at Kai is an experience to be remembered and savored.
Outstanding service and wonderful food. A great place to celebrate a special occasion
Great service and food as always. Very personable staff
We have been coming for years and once again our food (Escargot, Lobster, Elk, etc.) we're all absolutely delicious. They always remember that I have to steer away from spicy and dishes are customized to ensure I have wonderfully flavorful food without the heat that is used on certain dishes. Our wines were excellent. The wait staff is impeccable; always there when needed but not overshadowing your meal. Their goal is to create a memorable evening for you and your guests whether it is a special occasion or just a night out.
Jackson has been stellar in his service for us.
We have been dining at the Kai for most of our wedding anniversaries. This was our 23rd and the Kai was as wonderful as it always has been. Our waiter Darren and his assistant, Mark, we're very attentive and extremely knowledgeable of the food and menu. As always, our sommelier, Kevin, was perfect in his wine selection for us. Overall, a wonderful dining experience with a chef unsurpassed in presenting delicious and unusual fare which we savored with every bite. Another perfect evening.
Amazing experience as always! Thank you!!
it was my 2nd time
best service ever
We were treated very special
I totally agree with this statement, this is one of the best30 restaurants in the US This was one of the best experiences of my life the description of Native American culture was spectacular Jackson our waiter and the remainder of the wait including Sam and Jonah were-superb the food was outstanding. The presentation was a real show the ambience is beautiful and the sunset is outstanding. They treated us to multiple desserts that were also the best I have had. This hotel was also outstanding in the Indian flute music is mesmerizing and relaxing the service was choreographed and exquisite. This restaurant is well worth two Michelin stars if Michelin were giving stores west of the Mississippi river but it is definitely worth The five stories in for diamond awards that it received I can’t wait to go back everyone in my party of five people all had smiles on their faces when they left this restaurant not only bad when we went back to war room we had a hand written note from our waiter Jackson thanking us for being in the restaurant and a gift of local honey and muffins were in a little box at our door this was a great perk Very well done completely.
Very unique dining experience with emphasis on “experience”
Food was amazing and very much worth the price.
We had heard it was pricey but was considerably less than expected and very much worth the cost.
What an amazing dining experience! Every whim is handled in the most professional and courteous manner. The food was impeccable and each course and bite was divine. Every worker was attentive and personable. I give my highest recommendation!
Our anniversary and retirement dinner. Kai offers a beautiful and peaceful dining experience. A thought provoking and humbling experience. Kai features Native American and southwestern ingredients. The food is beautiful, flavorful and so enjoyable to taste. Service is gracious with each server sharing their gratefulness that we chose Kai for our meal. Obviously this is not an everyday dining experience but is perfect for special occasions during the year. We will be back in the fall.
My husband & I were there last year for the first time and absolutely loved it. So, we recently brought our aunt there for her 80th birthday. Again, the food & service was impeccable (our waiter was Jeremy both times).
We celebrated our 40th wedding anniversary and had a dinner and service that far exceeded our expectations. The food and service are !
we have been going to Kai once a year for my husband's birthday. we missed last year, but have been going for at least 10 years. Kai is a special place. It is fine dining always and a culinary experience beyond description. All staff are delightful, well trained and respectful.
Impeccable service, food as art, and beautiful surroundings. A must visit for food lovers.
Michelin needs to get to AZ
We’ve lived in Chandler for twenty years and have been to Kai about once a year ever since. It has always been terrific. Personally I believe the menu is the best it has ever been. The service and atmosphere has always been outstanding.
Everything about Kai was amazing. The only complaint I would have is the party behind us was very loud. Other than that the food was incredible, our server Jackson was attentive ad very knowledgeable. They made our anniversary feel very special and w will be going back again.
The Tasting menu was well thought out and put together.
The time between courses was the only deawback
Definitely a dining experience not to be missed!
Great way to learn about local culture, arts and food
This was one of the most extraordinary dining experiences of my life. The service was impeccable, the food was exquisite, and the ambiance was incredible. We thoroughly appreciated the presentation and the little touches that made the evening unforgettable. This is a must for anyone traveling to the Phoenix area!
Kai should be considered for Michelin Star status. Their food is excellent as is the service you receive when you dine with them. There is no other restaurant like it in Arizona and you NEED to go experience it. Austin, the General Manager is a phenomenal host. Kevin Lewis, their Sommelier, really knows how to pair worldly and local wines with their unique cuisine. Chef Ryan and his crew are outstanding at what they create. Each plate is perfection. Jackson, our server, excels at all aspects of his position. He had answers to every question and many stories to tell about the local history. It's by far one of our favorite places to dine.
Southerstern decor, live native flute music, attentive and knowledgeable service providing explanations of each course (and a snippet or two of history of the Maricopa and Pima tribes). Food is creative and well executed with flawless presentations.
