Wonderful as always, took the GF and Step daughter for a Father’s Day celebration and they loved it , steak was delicious and well priced and our waiter was incredibly friendly, cannot recommend this restaurant enough for any foodie !!!
Lovely food although not much choice. Staff were lovely x
Lovely venue. We shared a Chateaubriand and it was exceptional. The wine list is a wonder with many excellent wines available by the glass. Service was very good and like the way they are informally dressed.
Very attentive and friendly staff and a lovely ambiance.
The set menu offered every thing we needed and our waiter was happy to explain dishes and offer suggestions. Would definitely return, big thumbs up!
Unusually bad visit. Ordered express menu because we had theatre tickets - had to chase up food which was very slow and then had to bolt down our mains and skip dessert. Service very patchy with server absent for long periods. Fish was over cooked. May just have caught them on a bad night but would be inclined to avoid this branch in future. Have found other branches more consistent with service.
Steak was a bit overdone, and considering the price it's not the best. However the staff rectified this in the end. Good service. Good food. Good drinks. Good times.
You won’t find a better steak in London than what Hawksmoor provide. As good as it always is.
Great food and service as always.
A very enjoyable afternoon with my future son in law and two of his close Aussie mates. We needed good food, wine and service whilst we talked and got to know each other better. Hawksmoor guided us through the menu and we picked wines to match our surperb scallops and prawns. The prime rib and the porterhouse was great together with the magnum of Luigi Bosch! Just wonderful!
Took my boyfriend here for his birthday. The food was exceptional and portherhouse steak was gorgeous my oh my!!! We got the table we requested for, although the music was a little loud we did not mind. The staff made my boyfriend feel extra special. They all wished him a happy birthday and made sure everything went smoothly. I would come definitely come back here again and again
Food was superb as always, likewise service but what raised this meal even further was the excellent recommendation of the sommelier - a wine that was new to the menu, a little different and a fantastic choice.
Good quality as expected, pricey but a cut above. The Hawksmoor calling cocktail is a triumph, try it.
I was somewhat disappointed with this restaurant. I ordered a rib eye steak for a pretty expensive price. It was just not a great quality of meat and I ended up leaving half of it uneaten. My dining companion ordered french fries with beef drippings, which we assumed meant they would come in some kind of beef sauce. Actually, they were basically McDonald's fries that were fried in oil that had some beef drippings added. But the absolutely most annoying thing was that after we ordered, the waiter said our order would take about 25 minutes and asked if we would like bread. We said yes and between us, ate 1 slice. When our check came at the end of the meal, it turned out that we were charged for the bread - it was not complementary as in virtually every other nice restaurant I've ever been to! I was really annoyed, but it was only a few pounds and it was late so I didn't bother to complain, but I was really annoyed about that. All in all, there are lots of better restaurants in London.
Great venue. Decent service (especially for a London tourist haunt), knowledgeable staff, food was very well cooked but a little uninspiring.
A wonderful restaurant.
Great Sunday roast
My sons birthday- great food and wonderful service - would say it was pretty noisy though, acoustic remedial works may need to be considered
Food and service was exceptional. The cocktails we had before our meal were some of the best we had, had all weekend in London. A great place for Sunday lunch.
It was my partners birthday and everything about the restaurant from the bar attendant to the restaurant waitress was amazing I can not fault it .. lovely atmosphere and the food was delicious
Great food in relaxed atmosphere. Staff attentive and knowledgable. Price is apt for quality of food and service. Will definitely be back
We throughly enjoyed our visit to the Hawksmoor and our delicious meal with a lovely recommended red by our waiter. We came here as it is renowned for its steak, and rightly so. I was first seated in a less then desirable position, I commented and this was easily remedied to my delight, when my friend order her steak it wasn't to her liking but again this was corrected, nothing is to much trouble which makes all in all a throughly enjoyable evening.
We had a pre-theatre special, 2 x courses for a set price. The food was delicious and the service was efficient and friendly. The highlight for me was the peanut butter shortbread - honestly, it was a little bit of heaven! Thank you for having us.
Been coming to Air Street and other Hawkesmoor restaurants regularly for a few years now. Prices are more or less the same, at around £100 per head *if* you follow the standard format. For 5 it was £525 ... we had one non-drinker and so started with 4 pre-dinner cocktails (oddly 2 tasted different yet were the same cocktail ... two different whiskeys used in the whiskey sour but one was missing the sugar syrup). 5 starters ... all good. 2 chateaubriands and a Salad, 4 desserts, 3 coffee's, 1 red and 1 white around £50 each. So pretty standard and very good fair. The staff as always were lovely and the barman is always great and very social. Even the ladies in the cloakroom are charming. Hawkmoor will continue to be my goto in London when I just want good food and ambiance with no pretence or drama. :)
Great birthday treat for my wife who thoroughly enjoyed herself at the Hawksmoor. Super porterhouse steak.
This place is vibrant, the food clearly well-trained but no stuffiness, just oodles of charm. WELL DONE!
Love coming to Hawksmoor, Air Street. It's always an excellent dining experience.
Amazing steak and wine. Great service and wonderful ambience.
Preferred Hawksmoor at Seven Dials as the quality of food is much better there. My steak was served rare, even though it was meant to be medium rare.
Get together with family.
Good steak, but outstanding one - which is what you would expect for the money you pay. I felt it was a little bit overpriced.
Excellent as always. A perennial favourite location for special occasions and/or special people (pointedly those who don't put ketchup on the steaks!).
All-round knockout experience except the over-zealous wait-staff snaffing my unfinished double brandy which at the time of the heist was at a quarter left! :(
I'd also suggest that the bottle of ketchup *not* be brought to the tables (unless specifcally requested for, as they standardly do for condiments like the mustard + mayo etc); however, I can't say this enough - this isn't Micky-D's so scratch the ketchup all together (even for the excellent fries also).
Other than that - spot-on Hawksmoor Air St - as ever! Kudos! ;)
Overpriced, average food
I normally always love my hawksmoor steaks but this time our medium rare steaks were cooked medium! No real sign of pinkness sadly. The potted beef and yorkshires were great but your change from traditional sticky toffee pudding to sundae is a shame, you can’t the classic.
Fantastic food.. Their roast oyster and grilled bone marrow is to die for.. The staff also very friendly..
Scallops were gritty and unpleasant to eat, expected more for a £16 starter.
Steak was good, but in my opinion, overpriced.
Cocktails were nice, tip was extortionate.
Will not return.
Just fantastic, my favourite restaurant by far!
The food was fabulous. The service was impeccable. We would definitely go back in a heartbeat.
Took a while to get our main course, food worth waiting for, lovely friendly staff.
Great night, lovely service and food amazing
I will be back
Lovely Sunday Roast as always!
