The House of William and Merry serves contemporary American cuisine prepared from the freshest seasonal ingredients procured from local farms, providing casual fine dining at a reasonable price. Chef-owned by the husband and wife team, Merry Catanuto and William Hoffman, who live on the property, the restaurant is a remodeled farmhouse on the edge of central Hockessin. Dine in a comfortable home atmosphere in one of the two dining rooms, the porch, or the bar. When you arrive, you can see right into the all new, modern kitchen. Full bar service is available including wines by the glass, microbrews on tap, and specialty drinks. Or, take a walk around back to see the herb and vegetable gardens.Tuesday through Saturday we serve lunch and dinner. On Sunday, we serve brunch followed by a prix fix supper in the evening.

    First time dining here. VERY knowledgeable regarding GLUTEN FREE dining. Server JES was amazing and chef NATE made sure my food was safe. Happy hour from 4-6pm EVERY night is a bargain! Small plates are 1/2 price and many drinks are as well.

    I had a great experience at Hearth Kitchen! I ordered the shrimp fried rice and a Sauvignon Blanc. I’m not a huge fan of shrimp, so I asked if I could substitute chicken instead, and they were happy to accommodate. The food came out quickly and was delicious. Olivia, my bartender, was super sweet and helpful when I asked for recommendations. There were so many things on the menu that sounded good, so I’ll definitely be back to try more. Overall, great food, great service, and a really enjoyable experience!

    Amazing food. My group went two nights in a row. We ordered about half the menu and every item was A plus. The best food in Delaware and Tyler was a phenomenal waiter. So ask for him when you go
