The Punch Bowl is a 17th century newly refurbished restaurant and pub located in the heart of rural Essex and the Crouch Valley and South Essex salt marshes. Chef Patron Rob and Front of House Manager Sally run a Two AA Rosette-rated restaurant, offering a nose-to-tail style menu with unpretentious dishes that focus on flavour. Everything is made in house - from bread to mayonnaise, and we use local, seasonal and organic ingredients. Our menu changes daily as the season's best comes in. Always a great evening in this village pub….great people in the pub and staff are very attentive giving a great feel to the pub. Very dog friendly as we visited with two dogs

We were greeted when we arrived by a lovely waitress. Seated straight away and made to feel welcome Menu was brought to us and choices were described Ordered our food and it was served in a very timely fashion, asked if sauces etc were wanted, all done with a smile. Food was hot and delicious. Very very good value for money. Exceptional customer service thank you
