Being right on the North Lancashire and South Cumbria border, the Longlands Inn is surrounded by farmers offering some great local specialties. Fell-bred and salt-marsh lamb, fabulous cheeses, freshly-caught fish, are then all expertly prepared and cooked by our brilliant resident chef Mark Swanton.The inn offers several different areas to sit relax, eat and drink with cosy drinking areas, a mixtures of high and low seating and a private dining area. Staff very friendly and helpful. Cocktails and food were excellent. My slightly lower marking for service was only because they had a large conference going on and staff were stretched. Nonetheless, once we did order we didn’t have to wait very long for our food to arrive and it was cooked to perfection.

Another enjoyable visit to the Fat Badger . The food was exemplary as always and the staff are a credit to the organisation . We also booked into the hotel for a 1 night stay as we were going to the theatre and my wife and I really enjoy the cleanliness and comfort . We are already planning our next visit to the Hotel and Fat Badger .
