    Visited at 5.30pm on a Thursday evening. Difficult to park nearby but such a beautiful traditional pub when we arrived. A great welcome and seated on a high table, which was great. The staff are to be commended, so attentive and friendly from recommending the beers to the food choices too. We ordered several small plates, 8 in total which is great so you get a good variety from the sausage roll, smoked lamb, crab sandwich, delicious salad and triple cooked chips to name a few. They all arrived when ready. We were delighted to be treated to some fizz for our anniversary- so kind, so stopped for pudding too! Delicious and worth a visit for a special treat. Thank you!

    Great selection. Great service all round. Portions are very large so that needs taking into account or make sure you’re very hungry.

    We had a wonderful Sunday dinner as a party of 4. The meat was beautifully cooked, lovely crispy roasties, big yorkies and the veg was app cooked spot on. The puddings were all very tasty too. The welcome we had was very welcoming and the staff were very attentive the whole time we were there. Would highly recommend Sunday dinner here and the à la carte menu is great too.
