The Hind's Head is a traditional country village pub and restaurant serving freshly made food and quality local cask ales. We are a community owned and managed free house in a very picturesque Shropshire village. We have the more traditional areas of the pub with wood burning stoves, as well as a lovely restaurant and welcoming orangery for all our guests to enjoy food, drinks and good company. We offer two wine lists as well as a great selection of cask ales, lagers and ciders. The views from the front of the pub have a perfect picture post card view of St Chad's Church in the centre of the village. While we offer traditional pub classics like freshly made pies and fish and chips, we also regularly offer specials that our chefs create weekly and do a lovely Sunday roast dinner that is extremely popular. On Wednesday evenings we do different foods and events, please call to confirm the theme to ensure it's what your looking for it could be Tapas, Italian, a quiz night.

I chose the Cheese and onion pie followed by cheesecake, and i would return again just for that. The pie was so nice and the cheesecake had their own twist to it. It looked more like a crumble when brought to the table - but it was delicious! My wife had fish and chips which also looked lovely!

We both enjoyed the Hot Dog and skin-on fries from the new menu, with a side order of onion rings. From the alcohol free range we had Heineken zero and Thatchers Cider. The food was delicious and very filling. The hot dogs are large and tasty, drizzled with ketchup and mustard and topped with crispy onions. The service was excellent, warm and welcoming.
